    Thanks Mike. Good concise walkthrough. A suggestion that my dealer mechanic mentioned to me : when you check the hydraulic fluid level , it is best to check it with the loader in float and the 3 point hitch all the way down. Hope that helps. Cheers and thanks for sharing!

    Nice video on the 50 hour maintenance. I watched MyClutteredGarage video (just like yours) a day before I did my service and learned about the hydro filter oil "waterfall". My waterfall was the same as both of yours! I also enjoy GP Outdoors videos. I blew out the air filter with my compressor, it was pretty dusty, I may buy a new filter sometime this summer since our land is so dry right now. I don't know about other tractors, and this is my first tractor, but the B2601 seems to just sip fuel, it seems very efficient. Thanks again for sharing!

    “I may be slow but I do poor work” ha! You had me rolling.. I’ve used my B2601 twice in the couple weeks I’ve had it, having to wait for weather conditions, and have about 9 hours on mine already. Keep having fun, even I mean working!

    The use of a vacuum on the Oil Inlet no doubt works well. Another thought is before removing the Oil Inlet rubber cap would be to grab the Breather tube next to it and suck a bit of vacuum on it then pinch it off with a clamp. Then go remove the Hydraulic HST filter and likely the loss of fluid would be minimal then too.

    If you have a barn or garage you should do the oil change on a flat Surface at least that's how I was Taught to do that.

    I always enjoy seeing Kubota owners change their hydraulic filters... It's kind of a competition of who is going to thread the filter the faster! Lol! But I should not laugh too much, as I changed mine for the first time on my Case after 16 years of use... (long story!) I like your 3 pt top link. Again, I should not go too far on this one because mine also looks like a boomerang! Thanks for sharing Mike!

    Good job AK. I got 51 hours on my John Deere. My manual says to change engine oil and hydraulic oil and all 3 filters. I don't think a quart low even a qt. and a half on the hydraulics will cause any immediate damage as the hydraulic and hydrostatic transmissions hold about 5-6 gallons of hydraulic oil. I would most definitely top it off as soon as i could get the right brand of oil. I hope to get my service maintenance done as soon as i can. Thanks AK. 👍👍👍

    I've read where you can use a shop vacuum applied to the fill port, to minimize fluid lose. You need to make sure the area around the filter is clean so the vacuum doesn't pull any dirt into the filter port

    With the radiator hose hitting the oil filter its look like you might be able to disconnect the hose from the radiator and cut maybe 1/2" off the hose and reconnect the hose. It might pull the hose away from the filter. It is really hard to tell from the camera angle. Good luck.

    @msgt1942 Před 4 lety +1

    Your 3 point was all the way up. My understanding is loader if you have one and 3 point should be all the way down or you will get a low reading because your fluid is inside the cylinders. If you do it the way your doing it then top it off. You will actually have too much which is not good.
