For everyone tryna dunk if you can get your wrist above the rim then you’ll have a better chance at dunking. Also figure out what type of jumper gets you the most elevation.

How often a week should u do this? Also would it help for power jumpers to do explosive jumper drills?
I'm 5'11 128 lbs, I can stand right under the basket and jump and hang on the rim with both feet w/out running (just a straight vertical jump) But whenever I try and run/explode towards the basket for a dunk i get rimmed checked hard.... Any tips :3 ?

Aurt Dropz damn we disame i use a one foot jumper on fast approach in game to dunk but while in warm up i use 2 foot but i really recommend 1 foot on a fast approach it just makes u jump higher imo ..

Could you do both types of workouts and still see improvement
So you build “spring/explosiveness/speed” in your jump. But you can build power by combining strength training with body weight, or weights.
But you need both too dunk (most ppl goal lol) or to maximize your jump height.
What annoys me is i cant jump as high with both feet and im left footed but it only feels right to jump with just my right foot and i still aint getting up as high as i would like too. Hopefully the dunks will happen soon. Thanks tho since i always do a long run up but then slow down hella quick and run at an angle to try dunk, i think i may be a power jumper just with not enough power in my legs lol
I’m skinny but I’m more of a power jumper for 2 feet because I can get higher off of a 3 step gather than from the 3 point line it feels weird but for one foot it is way easier from outside the 3 point line. I’m weird man lol.
Been doing this for a month and once my body got used to it I wore ankle weights and it made my vertical crazy, I could barely tap backboard and now I’m dunking
What would i be. I am pretty bulky and stocky but i am also fast. But when i jump i usually dont find it natural to full sprint for a jump and when i go off one foot i go too far foward.
I can almost touch the rim on one, but i barely get off the ground on two, while i rebound high off two. So it's just tchnique for me at that point

Coach one time I played a 5 on 5 I hit 7 threes 2 of them were deep 3s and 2 layups 3 assist 3 rebounds 4 steals and I hit 6 threes in a row but now everytime I play I cant do what I did that game is their any way to play at that level again?

I decided to out the ball down and attack the rim.
I notice when my shins are close to being horizontal, parallel to the ground, I get more explosion. Not just low l I me a squat, but shins parallel to the ground.
I'm a power jumper even tho I'm slim.
That okay as he said in the video, usually slim people are explosive but sometimes can be power jumpers it depends on what's comfortable.

When you whana improve youre vert you need to push yourself to youre absolute max and take a long 3-6min rest and training to increas youre both explosivnes and maximum strentch at the wight room and jumping for max hight and dont do more then 10 max jumps with long rest period and focusing on the jumping tecnique still thats and thats hard. And give it 10+ years throw every eatch day to and you defently would se some results by the time

Houdini Drama I'll be 15 tmr, and I'm about 6', 140 dunking off of one foot, it usually depends on your body type and whether you have more speed or power, hope this helped👌🙏
im 16 5’10-5’11ish i think lol havent measured my height in a long time 160 lbs i usually jump on one foot explosive type sht i only jump off two legs when doing dunks in warmups

I have a problem getting my wrist at a 90° degree angle on my shot. Instead my wrist is aligned with my forearm, because of this I have a V looking shot at the set point instead of the traditional C. Could you help me out pls thx

You'll see what I mean by practicing free throws. Get you weight beneath by letting your stomach "hang".
Let your belly rest over your feet so you'll feel more balance.
Mr mackmackemike this is not relevant to the angle of your shooting arm and forearm as well as the angle of your wrist at the set point.

Bring the elbow in and your follow thru will be whatever it is.
You can't get the 90 degree if your elbow is sticking out.
That's why you have the weird V.
You'll automatically get closer to 90 at the wrist if you bring the elbow in.
When your elbow sticks out you get 30 to 34 degrees at the wrist.

Be confident in the things you are good at and show you can do these things and don't force and try things you aren't good at. Sooner or later you'll find the confidence. Try to focus on not getting nervous in practices too
