Fantastic piece, I knew a lot of Saint-Saens already when I heard this 7 years ago, but not his Christmas oratorio.. I('m singing this with my choir.... did it 7 years ago and we'll do it again today... I love the part for the bass singers. This performance is magnificent !! Hats off ! What is a pity, yet, is we can't see who are the performers....

Incidentally, if you're in a small choir that can manage only learning a few fancy songs a year... this can be repurposed from a Christmas hymn to an Easter hymn by simply changing the phrase "Laetentur coeli, et exultet terra a facie Domini, quoniam venit" to "Laetentur coeli, et exultet terra a facie Domini, quoniam levit" Then you get to use it twice a year.
