God gave Handel a message to deliver. He did. Now, if only the whole world listened, . . .
Taken from Isaiah 40.
Handel was inspired by the Lord when composed this magnificent piece of music. It cannot be different. It's....Divine music!
...He also have them freewill.
Right? So beautiful - the music and message. All glory to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! 🌷
Eric Lopez:: Beautifully put. If only.
Handel stunned audiences with his rousing Hallelujah chorus. And that continues through today. Whenever I get lost in the pettiness of the day I listen to this and it brings me back to center, to what really matters in life. King of Kings, Lord of Lords

For sure the composer had a glimpse of Paradise

The story of Handel's Life is very interesting. Worth reading 🙂
That's exactly what I think too.

The way the conductor slows the choir at 2:16 right before the final "King is kings and Lord of lords." He should be given a Nobel Prize for that move!

Goosebumps when the audience stands, every time, even after so many years.
I have been privileged to sing this glorious chorus music with a great choir in front of an audience; the voices were heavenly 🎶.
Isn't this pace faster than many others' performance?
“At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory".
Mark 13:26:
This is the most wonderful performance of this piece I have ever heard.
The Hallelujah Chorus is Miraculous !!!Nothing less !!!
What a wonderful rendition of this beautiful piece! Handel wrote something so astonishing it brought a Queen to her feet, and so we do the same thing all these years later. It's still worth it, isn't it?
A king to his feet. George II to be precise.
But alas it doesn't bring Queen Elizabeth to her feet again. We miss her!

But perhaps, this one song 🎼 composed by George Frideric Handel may *brought down His New Majesty, King Charles III* 🤴🏼 to his feet someday... And so, is it *still worth to this day, isn't it* 😏?
Imagine what it will sound like in heaven when the Lord is praised!
My church choir sang this song at the anniversary! It was pretty! Hallelujah 🙌 Jesus! ❤😊
And He shall reign forever and ever!!!
WOW. The best rendition of this masterpiece ever. No, seriously, when I heard the first strains of this music, I was working on another tab, and I thought "aah another version Hallelujah lets skip it, but thank God I waited a bit longer and was blown away. Kudos to the Choir and the Orchestra, their great.
Beautiful! King of Kings, and Lord of the Lords, Our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏼
Magnificent!❤️ Our late son saw The Messiah of Handel at Mandela Square (Johannesburg South Africa) with us a few years ago. So glad we could share that with him and treasure the memories in our hearts 💕 💗
To God be the glory forever and ever Amen 🙏🏽.
I truly believe the universe can hear this whenever it is performed.❤️
God surely loved Handel because Handel surely loved God and those are the ones the lord chooses to bring some of the most beautiful music ever composed to the world
I note that the crowd followed the George 2 custom of standing! This has become the custom in Australia! When this chorus finishes, the audience often cheers!
Can you imagine the cheers that will ring out when Jesus returns? It would drown out 100 football stadiums for sound!!!!
John Butcher. Correct protocol indeed. A small correction though. It wasn't King George II, but King George III who rose to his feet. Magnificent sound.
We also stand in the USA. Old English custom. One of the few traditions that we've kept from HRH George III.
It is a great song and wonderful country . I want to stay at Australia. Praise Lord . Amien
Always stood for the “Hallelujah”

Oh God this beautiful song has reached to every soul to the end of the earth. ❤
I would like this played at my funeral.
I find it so great when people still stand up for this piece...our western heritage, hopefully it will survive
Magnificent even in 2024 ..
I am fully convinced that he had a glimpse of the king sitting on his throne, what i can't fathom is the state of his mind when he was composisng this masterpiece. It will be as fresh as it was then, till the King of Kings cometh😢😢❤
Superb worship to my Lord Jesus Christ. May He enjoy its sweet smell! Keep it up!!!!! Its Angelic!
I was actually here when this was performed, and trust me, it didn't smell sweet! I don't know if you've ever been to Australia, but it is HOT, and I doubt anyone in the audience had showered in at least 3 days! That's just how it is all the time down here though. It isn't our culture to shower more than twice a week, since it's not uncommon for worms and parasites to come out of the shower head.
The trouble was those bloody kangaroos interrupting rehearsals and performance. They reckon that Handel was a genius; why didn't he take that into account then?
And it's not as if he didn't know about weather patterns in Oz. "He shall rain forever and e-e-ver" is a clear sighn he knew of our drastic downpours. That's why it was held end of year in the summer.
Best classical music of all times, blessed us the composer as well as the voices who have sung this music.
Praise be to God.

This hymn is gorgeous Thank you god 👌
Despite a very hurried tempo, it was a beautiful rendition.
I noticed the 'rushed' tempo as well, Neil - especially as I had just listened to the London Philharmonic's version! I have to research that piccolo trumpet, I played a regular one for many years and I've never seen one like that before.
@@debm.c.steacy3500 I have just listened to both versions and I believe the London tempo is too slow!

Praise be to George Frederick ! What at genius at creating music to touch the soul.
Christ is risen!
This is my all time favorite Christmas music. I'm surprised, however, at how many people don't know to stand up when this piece is being sung. The story goes that King George II stood up during the chorus at the Messiah’s 1743 London premiere. Nobody really knows the reason but a few stories go that he may have stood up to stretch his legs because The Messiah is 2 hours long. Others think that he might have been so moved by the music that he stood and in doing so the audience would stand up as well. At any rate, it is now customary to stand up during this chorus.
Love that she obviously loves her music
The standing up for Hallelujah Chorus, I thought it was just a Nigerian thing. Great to see everyone acknowledges the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Glory to God!
Why oh why does this always give me goosebumps and make me tear up!! For goodness sake, man...!
Try singing with the chorus.
Imagine with multitudes in heaven..
I'm assuming because you adore Jesus like I do!

I enjoyed the Sydney Choir’s rendition of Handel’s great work. This time of the year is when I miss going on the bus into downtown Salt Lake City for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas Concert. A great choir and orchestra can bring Christ’s spirit abundantly to those who’s hearts are open!
Beautifully written, arranged, scored and quintessentially performed 🎭 🎉
Bravo 👏 Sydney Opera House ❤❤
It was composed by George Frideric Handel in 1741 it was performed at the Sydney Opera House. The only thing the opera house provided was a location.
Georg Friedrich Handel left his mark on his time thanks to his intense and majestic compositions. In this vast fresco composed in 1741, Handel displays all the nuances of his consummate art of sound painting, recycling if necessary some of his Italian duets composed the same year. He drew his inspiration from the music of his native country, Germany, he was inspired by his numerous travels, particularly to Italy, and he was attached to the traditions of his adopted country, England. This oratorio is the subtle balance between the recitatives, few in number, the arias and the choruses contributes to the support of the dramatic action; the intensity is maintained, as is often the case, with great sobriety of means in the writing by virtue to the chord orchestration. His talent and this clever mix have made him one of the greatest composers still performed firmly in the prestigious operas. Many of the master's oratorios are still performed nowadays, but it is truly Messiah which left its mark on the history of music. Music accompanies life! *Lucien*
Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rest.🙌🔥♥️
Merry Christmas to our beloved world, one and all!
'And His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory' Ezekiel 43:2.
Tears, shivers down the spine. I stand in awe of the wonder and majesty of the Lord our God and in great admiration and respect for Handel.
The best piece of music ever composed.
Handel Messiah, Divinely inspired.
Great performance , the most incredible fact is that Handel composed this in 1741 and it is still being performed all around the world and it will be forever ! ! I do not hear any popular music from 282 years ago , that's the reason they call it classical music ! ! !
