It was written in 1890, not 1869. Debussy would’ve been 6 or 7 years old. And while he was most definitely talented, he was no Mozart. Debussy was 28 when he wrote it, which is much more believable.

I would just hold them in my arms and enjoy that precious moment of hearing them sigh, and gently sleep in my arms, feeling the warmth of their tiny body. My oldest is grown and my youngest is truly struggling. I would give just about anything to have one more evening like that.
