I have seen a fight where free shipping got so much beating it raised a kind of respect for it. If it had better offensive capabilities it would win tournaments.

So if Free Shipping removed the flamethrower (They’d have to keep the lifter because of the ‘active weapon’ rule) they could actually do pretty well,

Lieutenant Nomad they tried lol and they got their primary weapon neutered. Also you be suprised how Many bots out drive bronco you’d think they’d come up with a better drive system so thy can ram and flip some on at high speed
They never had a chance. Bite force is a pretty overpowered robot, and the only way I can really conceive it being defeated is if we get another fluke like the bite force vs. Chomp fight, or you get a really Tanki robot

This is my first time watching these battles. It's crazy how much it depends on the constellation of opponents. Saw "Bronco?!" in another fight having absolutely no chance, left me thinking: what a piece of crap. In this fight its the absolute opposite, very surprising and interesting 👍🏻
Got to be honest here, the sound "editting/overlay" is realy ennoying this season and Id personally hope it will be abandoned for next seasons. It sounds very cheap and unrealistic. The raw audio sounds much cooler and more realistic.

Free Shipping is an interesting design with a lot of flexibility and a lot of options to attack with, but it's intrinsically harder to drive than Bronco. Bronco is a legendary flipper, simple to drive, well-armored, perfectly balanced to quickly right itself, and very forgiving for the driver. In this outing, it has spiked side armor to deter attacks on the wheels. One might assume that such a design would make it easier for wedges to get under it, but it also redirects wedge attacks from the wheels to the underside of the bot, and if the bot is flipped, it can always quickly right itself. A primitive but elegant solution to the problem of losing one's wheels. Probably the most disappointing part of this fight was at 1:20 when Free Shipping's flame failed to connect. That was some intense heat. Might've done some damage.
I wish Gary had a better weapon on that thing. He's one of the most entertaining drivers. Last year's config got dismantled in one match and it was still driving!!

I'm surprised so many people are complaining about the sound, I watch battle bots cause I like watching two hunks of metal smash into each other and catch fire sometimes, I couldn't care less about the sound editing lol

you lot need to really reassess your sound editing with these fights, they sound almost as cheesy as the comedy central fights and those were horrendous. stop using crowbar pwang noises and start putting microphones in the arena itself to record the proper audio of them fighting, thanks
They already have a Mic in the box to record the sounds of combat. TPTB decided that wasn't good enough and certain sound effects were needed and approved for use in the show.

Bronco took a shot at Biteforce and missed. If he hadn't, it might have been a better fight.
