I think you did very well, genuine Evo for a VL. Couple of issues with a 30 year old car. Is it possible to get someone who can weld really well to fix the cut in the floor pan. Rather than cut a patch out of another car and do even more welding.

I can't really see an issue with the exhaust, it's just a mild steel 3" unit, not shiny stainless. Other than the muffler it looks like its in one piece. Definitely wouldn't be disappointed about this cars qaulity given its an import.
You can do magna brakes as an upgrade most likely too.
The floor is an issue though.
it has sharp bends and crooked cuts no cat and its all one peice, with a really tight bend just before the rear muffler and i dont mind that its not shiney its just mega rusty and the welds are snot piles
So Keen for the Evo Content ;)

And these things being imported from Japan many many people getting burnt from dodgy cars that are rust buckets

The evo 4 was definitely worth it! Random question, for a cv dual carb d15b4 in a ed civic what air intake is suitable for it? Because I've heard not many air intakes are compatible with dual carbs

Just gonna preface this. Knowing the owner of the vl now, it ain’t immaculate, has four different shades of gold across the car.
But was level with the evo’s condition
2 different shades only the engine bay was a slightly different colour bud
hey turbo, i found the headlights on my old evo IV were lacking lumens, do you have a lux meter where you could check how many lumens your evo IV is pumping out at 2m 4m 8m and 16m distances for me? also which globes your running.
i dont have a lux meter i would love one to check though

Trades never work out that well. Can't see how a turbo vl is worth more than an Evo though? A converted turbo wagon is worth 20-25k
