A decade ago, the final X-Men game to date was released. And it was an "RPG" by Silicon Knights that was shrouded in development issues. This is gonna be a blast.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It was my first PS3 excursion into a superhero game. In no ways was it brilliant, sure. But it was extremely fun to play my “own” mutant while mixing in abilities from other mutants. At the time, I was mostly clueless when it came to the X-Men comic books, outside of wolverine’s stand-alone comics, so it really got me interested in the franchise.
I literally only bought this game because it was recalled, same with Too Human.
Same. Especially since Too Human is playable on XBone. Probably the last generation these games will be playable on.

The playable characters were pretty decent, imo.
Adrian was the best as he could have the biggest character development by going from a mutant-hating extremist to a (literal) mutant supporter by joining the X-Men. Plus, he was cute, so there’s that. 😍
Aimi had an intriguing backstory and I felt like her joining the Brotherhood would’ve been canon as a result of her resentment towards her father for abandoning her. Her character design was neat too. 🧣
Grant was the worst because he was the least interesting and was more of a fanboy self-insert than an actual character. Then again, he was pretty funny and had some witty comebacks. 😜
I agree that they all lacked their own agencies. It would’ve been nice to see them follow their own paths based on their pre-existing values instead of simply doing what the plot said.
I agree on grant whats funny is the ds game of destiny had one character as the player character it was the mayor's asstiant who is in the main game in the beginning personally wouke have swapped grant for him.
I played this and beat it multiple times but almost never remembered the story

Great video; I actually had a good time with this game and beat it multiple times for the achievements. I liked Too Human as well so my taste are pretty budget minded but been playing games since the 80s so I remember legitimately bad games from the early days.
I just now realized how similar the plot of this game is to the Crystal Dynamics Avengers game. At least live service games weren't around back then. Because that probably would have made X-Men Destiny even worse!
I really loved the game back then and wish to see PC port with better resolution and framerates. Or maybe new game like this.
Regret never buying this to some degree. I still saw copies at several local Gamestops up until about 2-3 years ago. I was hyped for this game until it came out and looked half baked so never bought it.
I get that. That’s the one issue of looking at older licensed games. But, Destiny is pretty cheap on the 360, as long as you don’t care about how the case looks

Well the only reason why we didn’t get a sequel is because Silicon Knights was sued for using unreal engine.
True. I think the IP has been tarnished because of Silicon Knights, so I’d love to see a spiritual successor or something.

That’s fair. But, the AI is so brain dead that they could be robots.
I loved this gaaaame and deadpool sooo much! Could this game have been better, obviously but omg for how much rush it had to go through its a banger game considering.

I just saw this going for nearly $90 and picked one up for $7.
The prices people put on Activision-era Marvel games are absolutely ridiculous.
