Crazy how much Judd looks like Chad Chad, but obviously they’re two completely different people
Obviously!! 🙄
hmmmmmm.....it's weird how they look so similar and sound the same, almost as if it was Chad Chad
its just the makeup....
Someone needs to contact judd and let them know how similar they are to popular youtuber Chadchad
You must be blind
I've literally watched this movie since childhood and had NO IDEA that the rat London place was named RATROPOLIS???
They were so unserious
i mean same but i didn’t really pay much attention to like city names/places in movies as a kid unless they were spelled out to me within the movie at least 3-5 times
I absolutely loved the concept of Ratropolis as a kid because I love big cities and I love rats lmao
as a rat defender, as a flushed away defender, and as an aardman defender, i always thought they were meant to have cinnamon fur but stylized. like grommit is technically flesh colored but its FUR bcuz we know he's a DOG
SAME omg
That’s what I thought cause that one rat was like pure white 😭
Roddy is like almost a parody by being so much of a textbook example of a Tumblr sexyman.
I’m OBSESSED with this movie unironically I’m so happy you made this
THIS it’s a family classic in my household
we even all had a pair of the socks from the movie😭😭
SAME I WANTED TO BE THE GIRL RAT SO BAD
the way i was so happy when my niece’s counseling office was playing it in the waiting room one day
DUDE SAME!!!
I see it as another Dreamworks gem.
i think i almost peed myself laughing during the judd bit, incredible plot twist
Thank you thank you
i’m like 80% sure my grade saw this movie on a field trip and we were OBSESSED and YES we loved the slugs and would quote them back and forth all day long and YES we all made the “see food” joke during lunch
I remember in 4th grade my teacher I think said who ever had good grades, or random picked I forgot, could choose a movie to watch I wanted to watch this one and Ed Edd n eddy the big picture show and I actually won idk how but I chose eend lol in 2012/2013
Flushed Away traumatized me. I had nightmares about le frog and his homeboys standing on the toilet not allowing me a shite. Flushed Away aided in the development of my bpd. I can never forget...
the slugs are the absolut perfection! they’re what illumination studios wish the minions were but couldn’t ever accomplish.
Facts
DAMN WHEN YOU PUT IT THAT WAY
if only the slugs caught on instead of the minions. despicable me was a pretty successful series though considering they made 3 and a 4th one is coming. i was never that into it
@@felixftw4702 did you really just ask why the most oversaturated character in the past 15 years "didn't catch on"
oh wow, i didn't realize i typed it incorrectly@@verde7595
When I was a kid I owned a DVD of flushed away and me and my sister were so obsessed w the slugs. There was a bonus video on the DVD of the slugs singing pump it by THE black eyed peas (I'm being entirely fr it was insane) and we would rewatch it for hours
OH MY GOD I REMEMBER THAT IT WAS CRAZY
I HAD THIS TOO LOL
I was too o.o the slugs ate that movie right up.. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS ABOUT THE SLUGS SINGING BLACK EYED PEAS
Glad I'm not alone
FKSKSKSK I just made this comment holy shiL I cannot believe this is a shared experience
Tbt to one time my little sister couldn't sleep when we were sharing a mattress, so i just started quoting/explaining the entire flushed away movie from start to finish for her as a 'bedtime' story in all it's detail for like 2 hours; That's how much we've watched it when we were younger cause we had it on DVD💀
This is the most relatable thing I’ve ever read ever
SAME
Some fun facts from an English person (I know, I'm sorry!)
1. In the UK the film Zootopia is called Zootropolis due to a legal issue, which makes the joke even funnier.
2. Shane Richie who plays Sid is a genuine UK icon of the 2000s, he played a character on the beloved soap opera EastEnders and he occasionally comes back to the show, but back then he was def at his height of fame (before he appeared on I'm a Celeb recently and won the nation's hearts back). The man deserves his flowers, proper cockney geeza!
judd being chad chad made me burst out in laughter thank you nikki carreon
FR I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT
@@TylerthecreatorcakeSAME
Flushed away scared me as a child, i used to be scared to go to the toilet cus i thought the evil frog mob bosses or smthn would steal me away, also as a British person, this fear is even more real for me considering the movie is English 😭😭😭😭
this movie scares me because they ARE british
i thought the slugs were scary
I was scared of the SLUGS
This is hilarious fhdhdh
I surprisingly do have a weird story involving this movie:
I used to have this DVD player, and being too sick to go to school, I went with my mother to her work. Since I only had the DVD player with me, and forgot to bring my DVDs with me, I just had to result to the movie inside it. Unsurprisingly it was flushed away, but what is most important is that I was so bored while my mother was at work that I watched the movie 4 times in a row, each time learning something new about the plot... I'm still surprised I never cued into having ADHD after that day.
This movie had such an im pack on me and my older brothers. I’m 15 and they’re 20. They re-named their dog Roddy and almost cried when my grandma tried to sell our copy of it before I saved it for us
the cinematography in those final shots were unparalleled
RIP roddy
this movie was so influential it shaped a whole generations taste in men to all look like roddy saint james
This movie came out when I was a teenager. Went and saw it with some guy in a surprisingly empty theater. He kept trying to stick his hand in my pants and I remember being really annoyed because I was invested in the movie. I watched it again a couple days later and it quickly became a favorite.
I definitely remember this masterpiece. Any animation or art that has any resemblance to this movie always brings me back to it
I remember seeing this a few times as a kid, but then in 9th grade a bully told me i look like the movie flushed away (the insult didnt make much sense) and that shit rocked me to my core. Cant watch it without thinking about the fact that I am, the movie flushed away
You watching this movie: literally me 😭
We all had the same life lmao. My high school bully called me Rita Rat for years 🧍🏼♀️ … she kinda slays tho
@@jessdewhurst4996 she's a girlboss I would be honored
thank you for saving judd’s parents !!!!!!
@@neurodiverseintrovert9238 you’re right 😎😎
yea this movie was my first special interest, fr. The bonus features for the dvd had a tutorial on making the clay slugs and I made….dozens
the fact other people had this experience…unmatched
FR
you give off such a cozy and genuine energy i feel like this channel is my safe space
I haven’t watched the video yet but based of the title I just have to say
“Speak for yourself I remember flushed away so well (Bortspolad in my language), it was and still is one of my favourite animated/stop motion movie of all time, I especially love the slugs”
i have actual fond memories of this movie, honest to god. favourite movie as a kid. i had the dvd and along with the nightmare before christmas, i watched it constantly. my parents hated it. not only because it's objectively awful but because i watched it all the time. i have vivid memories of me begging to watch this movie and my parents looking at me and then the dvd in my hands with such frustrated disdain. still loved it though and the whatever his name, greasy ball couch crasher genuinely grossed me out as a kid i thought he was disgusting.
you unlocked a strange core memory of me & my brothers always saying the ‘have you seen my dad’ bit to each other for no reason 😭 not relatable to anyone else but truly brings back a simpler time
Me and my brother used to say random phrases like that all the time and we'd always crack up no matter how old the joke got. Childhood was so nice
i quote a lot of this movie all the time, it's going to blow my bf's mind when he watches it
i used to quote this movie w my dad lmaoo
When I was like 7 I got this movie and Over The Hedge from my grandma and literally watched each of them in full multiple times throughout the day every day for like a week 💀
It is me. This was literally my favorite movie as a (now diagnosed as on the spectrum) child. I watched it like everyday for a solid 3 months at my peak of watching it.
Seeing that Nikki likes Don Hertzfeldt enough to add in a clip of his ART makes me want to cry 😢😢😢
I love him soooo much, It’s Such A Beautiful Day is one of my favorite movies of all time
I unironically love this movie 😅 I was obsessed with this movie as a kid.
me toooooo
You are so unhinged. Honestly one of the more standout personalities in your space (from this video atleast)- was surprised how well structured and edited it was while maintaining its chaotic pacing
This is the first video of yours I've ever seen, and your whole approach and analysis are great. You're very clever and funny, and I love your unique critical perspective and candor. It's like having a really cool friend explaining something to me that's fascinating to both of us.
Sorry for sounding so formal; I'm not good at CZcams comments, but I enjoyed this whole Flushed Away experience which you so nicely curated for us viewers, so heartily that I had to say great job! Keep up the amazing work! I learned a metric shit-ton about Flushed Away and so much more, and enjoyed an equal amount of laughter along the way. Crisp editing, well-executed cutaways and audio stings, your whole aesthetic is lovely and your charismatic delivery has such a contagious sense of fun and enjoyment.
This was everything I could ask for and more in a CZcams commentary video, and I had a blast watching it. Thank you.
I watched this movie on a plane trip as a kid and the only scene I remember is the flushening which made me think I never actually watched it 😭😭
THE FLUSHENING
Me and my family still quote "Keep your legs straight when you hit the water" and "We leave in 5 hours" lol
I think in your search for a flushed away fan you were looking for me. Flushed away is my favorite movie (it’s still not a very good movie) but it’s special to me. i collect flushed away merchandise (toys, dvds, games, etc). i have loved flushed away (specifically rita the rat) since i was really little. i’m getting a flushed away mcdonald’s toy tattoo soon and have toddler sized rita the rat pants on my wall.
wait and my name is emmy…i am not your patron and i don’t know who you are
Flushed away was the first film I saw in the cinema. I’ve seen it hundreds of times. It’s such a feel good funny great animation, so many little cameos! I will be watching tonight thank you😭💜
I watched this on public TV with the Spanish Dub when I was a kid in Mexico. It was so funny in Spanish, I watched in English two months ago and it didn’t hit the same way it did in Spanish.
I feel like the movie is way more funny in Finnish too 😭
Same with shrek lol so funny in Spanish
FR
was strangely obsessed with this movie as a kid. i was never my favourite but i watched it so many times i can remember the plot pretty much scene-by-scene to this day
way bigger fan of monsters inc. cannot do the same for it
that’s me with coraline lol
Same
i barely remember anything of this movie but the beginning montage played to dancing with myself is such a core childhood memory for me and my brother. any time the song comes on anywhere ill just look at him and every time ill ask him if he remembers flushed away and every time he looks at me disappointed
I audibly gasped when i saw ChadChad.
Wow! What a cameo, surprise and deeper lore! This video about the flushed away movie changed MY life!
The slugs singing dont worry be happy is a core memory for me
No because every time I hear anything about gems or diamonds I think of this specific movie. The scene where he holds the diamond on the boat and tries to break it, saying it is fake as well as the opposite scene where he tried to break the protected one saying it is real is so clean and clear in my mind. I can not joke about this, I swear.
Good review by the way, loved it.
8:55 as a kid we had the flushed away dvd and on the bonus features their was a tutorial on how to make the little slugs out of clay. i never made them but i would watch it over and over
I loved the little bit at the end, keep going Nikki!
Thank you sm!! :)
I was just talking about this movie wih my mom, I thought it was a fever dream but turns out I wasn't dreaming about it. I know I loved it a lot because of the singing slugs but now that I think about it thi movie is something i'd watch on an insomniac night
The slugs are seriously here for the people we love them
@@nikkicarreon Exactly 😎✨
ive never heard anyone talk about this movie before im so happy to have found a video about it, i loved watching it growing up
I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE TALKING A BOUT THIS MOVIE I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH LAST DECEMBER I WATCHED IT LIKE 14 TIMES IN A ROW IN ONE WEEK ITS SUCH A COMFORT TO ME HAHAH
wake up babe, nikki just uploaded!!!
🌟 love you!!
We didn’t have cable in my house so I watched this movie over and over. It’s ingrained in my head forever.
this is my first time here and i subscribed within the first minute, you are so funny ❤😂
I was in taekwondo as an elementary schooler and a friend gave me the flushed away gba cartridge. The girl rat had a default motion of jumping one leg at a time while posted up if she wasn’t walking. I had to do push ups all the time after taekwondo class because I did that motion while sparring the other kids lol. Good ol fever dream.. I mean Flushed Away.
this movie fucks me up because for literally over ten years there were always copies of this movie at a grocery store in town. and I'm certain nobody bought them because it was always eleven copies in the same position every time. Me and my kid sister would keep count and laugh and be all "lmao look who didn't get bought" until one day after all that time they mysteriously disappeared to make way for newer movies. it's hilarious to me that those copies of that movie sat there for so long, so for that alone it is iconic to me and nostalgic in a way
I loved this movie as a child because i was really obsessed with stop motion clay animation and the characters look like they've been made out of clay
I love how we all agree that this movie simultaneously traumatised us and was our childhood fav
Me and my siblings reference this movie very often. I love this movie a lot, and I’ve watched it probably 10+ times. Such a classic. Thank you talking about this movie
canonically rodney is based off of matty healy. i wish i was joking i’m serious
I actually talk about that a little towards the end, it’s kinda insane lol
i’m almost at the end my bad 😩
We had a external dvd player in the car as a kid and this was one of the only DVDs we had so me and my sister watched flushed away so many times but I didn’t even think it was that good. Low key gives me shivers but I loved the videos
Stoppp I love the fact that you put a clip in from everything anywhere all at once you so awesome💪😎
We would watch this film like every year at school, I love it so much 😭
(This is maybe just in my area but I think it’s much more of a ‘classic’ in England than elsewhere lmao)
the slugs: pump it ♫
child me: holy shit
this was one of my favorite movies as a kid 😭
also the rat family reminds me so much of my own family
i was obsessed with this movie as a child, like this and over the hedge were the only dvds that I had, but i completely forgot this movie even existed.
I LOVED this movie when I was a kid. My favorite part was the scene towards the end when the slugs sing the "I'm so lonely" song
I loved flushed away as a kid I sang don’t worry be happy on repeat after I watched the movie. I’d give it a 8/10
I have NEVER forgotten this masterpiece
LETS GOOOOO, I love this movie sm, thank you Nikki for blessing me on this Thursday afternoon
i LOVE flushed away it was a gift from god
i literally still watch this TO THIS DAY love this movie 😭😭
ive nevr forgotten flushed away. me and my brothers have rewatched it like millions of times and im still not tired of it.
I still watch this movie almost weekly with my 6 year old. 😂 One of my favorites!
31:16 THIS IS SUCH A CROSSOVER I DID NOT KNOW COULD HAPPEN OMG I LOVE THIS
i LOVE flushed away, i remember the game they had for the nintendo DS was everything to me. the slugs in this movie are iconic to this day.
oh yeah and the fucking soundtrack ?!!!!
I don’t remember a single thing about this movie except that I had the video game for PS2 and played it to death for a solid two weeks and then never touched it again
LMAO when I was researching this I saw a bunch of ads for that and thought it was trippy they even thought to make a game for it
@@nikkicarreon I remember very vividly the first cutscene with the fake Hugh Jackman voice saying “CRACKERS? CHEESE? GILBERT NO” and I think the music that plays when you die was mixed way too loud and it always startled me
Loving your movie reviews Nikki ❤
The slug version of "Be Happy" is the version that plays in my head, ever since I saw the movie as a child in theaters.
As a kid who loved my pet rat-I made this movie a priority when blockbuster was going out of business.
The cd is treasured.
Forgotten? FORGOTTON? I never forgot this masterpeice.
I was expecting anything but Chad Chad 😭😭😭
Awesome work on this Nikki, flushed away always felt like a fever dream! 😭
I love this movie and have watched it several times and has always stuck with me the writing the comedy the frogs everything
My younger brother was OBSESSED with this movie as a kid. He called it “Oo-Oo Sid” because he thought Sid was a monkey 😂
HAHAAHAHAH why did i actually expect chadchad, i read ur mind
That’s JUDD
@@nikkicarreon omg im so sorry ur right *JUDD ☝🏻
oh, but I DO remember flushed away
me and my brothers can drop that "have you seen my dad" line and it will send us every time this movie was a childhood favorite for all of us
This movie came out when I was 5 or 6. My family watched it, and it got me onto Tom Jones. My Dad and I also constantly referenced it years later. Here I am, at 21 and I remember this movie very well.
A legendary Chad has appeared
As a Brit flushed away is movie that has never left my mind. I look at people every now and then and I’m like “That’s a Rodney looking dude”.
Everything everywhere all at once was so much deeper than I thought it was gonna be. I love that movie
I got this movie for Christmas when I was 8. Straight disc in an envelope clearly pirated. Even still, I loved it so much alongside Over the Hedge. This video brings back some great memories :) thank you
Does anyone know the movie "Help! I'm a fish" I remember watching that so many times as a kid, I had it on a VHS. I remember getting annoyed at the female kid for messing around and her ending up turning into a starfish 😭
Omg yes! I had it on dvd and I still remember the song 😭
I was absolutely obsessed with this movie when I was younger. I would watch it on repeat. But looking at it now freaks me out, it just looks so gross😭😭
never forgot this movie because I still have them on dvd ever since I was 4
I remember this vividly simply because we had the dvd of it for whatever reason and we watched it a million times when I was young back in portugal
you look like one of the characters
pretty girl smh
💀 💀 💀
na das wild
THIS MOVIE SCARED ME AWAY FROM USING THE TOILET AS A KID CAUSE I WAS SCARED TO FALL IN💀
LMAO noooo I was scared of the toilet because BIG NOISE so honestly ur better than me in that regard
Bruh at the end when you pulled out that roddy happy meal toy, I unlocked a memory of owning one just like that. Truly eye opening, thank you.
Maybe it’s just nostalgia but I I love this movie so much, I remember my mom recording it from the TV onto a DVD which I watched over and over
Was not expecting the surprise Chad Chad interview in this 😂
Lol I remember when my mom took me to the theater to watch this on my Birthday. I still own the original dvd my mom got me and watch it on my Birthday every year. I also have the crappy video game for the PS2 that my parents rented from Blockbuster and never returned lmao. It was your basic run of the mill 3D platformer you saw everywhere around that time. I’m 25 now and it’s still one of my favorite animated movies, along with Over the Hedge.
