MOST of the lore in this game is force fed to you by the bad guy between fights... That is why the game is good until the end. When the fight pause for no reason and the bad guy starts speaking 'let me tell you why humans are blah blah blah' Then I wish the main character is not clive but Jack from Stranger of Paradise and just tell the boss to STFU.

Very underrated game imo

As someone who actually enjoys the other SAO games as much as this one, I believe Fatal Bullet was more experimental than anything, and it goes both ways. While Dimps captured a very accurate representation of what GGO would play as, what failed is that the "tradition" Aquria established with Infinity Moment didn't really translate into a shooter. Sure, the compliment system, bed scenes, and affection levels were THERE, but I can understand those who actually like to be in Kirito's POV in that it felt like a huge departure from what an SAO game ought to be. At least...that's what I observe. I know SAO's reputation stinks thanks to everyone beating on the dead horse since 2012, but I still am a fan of the show in spite of it. I'm perfectly fine with those who dislike it, and I can still understand where they're coming from. That being said, I personally think the games are meant to be enjoyed in their appropriate context. I can't speak on behalf of everyone, though.

They need to spend more time making GOOD games not rushing out shitty games. I'm fucking old(32) but n64, ps2, even gamecube era ish. Games like..had a fucking standard. They HAD to be good, they had to be complete. A ton of games have 'updates' so its okay if it's shit(this game has nothing to do with that though just a mention) indies get the pass ofc. Huge companies? hell naw. They have massive budgets and a name so people are gonna buy it, indies have a tiny ass budget make major risks and still make better games. it's *wild*. The game was garbage. And I got it for sale on $10. The battles were okay, that's about it. The story was absolute trash. The worlds budget could've been lowered to add real cutscenes, as someone who animated in 2d and 3d, 3d is so fucking easy to animate. You can even mocap and edit it. They can't even animate dialogue, some action scenes, yet have those cool looking battle things? Come ON that was their ONLY selling point, and they give us this visual novel esque garbage dialogue in a fuckin----action rpg. We want action. We play action(or I do) because I don't have the time to waste or attention span for turn based anymore. I wanna feel like I'm doing something. The chars are just those anime stereotypes, they look cool, but what is this awful friendship system? Friendship systems are one of my fav things in games too. What is this 'find my pen?' really??? Are you fucking seriously???? It feels like a 12 year old wrote it, piling on random drama for no reason, but nothing in this game even makes any fucking sense. Characters look like they know what's going on, leaving the player hanging. Like narrate if you have too! TELL US WHATS HAPPENING!?!? This is just so stupid.

You should make a review on all the Metal Gear Solid games.

Someone is a little down bad for Quiet... But seriously, I feel like there is a lot more to discover about the game like Paz's tapes with her last one being really good: czcams.com/video/9tOhAIk-b_8/video.html&ab_channel=FMAS However for 17 minutes it wasn't bad for a small anylasis even if it was you simping for Quiet.

Great review, liked and subscribed. Just started playing again yesterday, and I agree--the feeling that this is a good even a great game is not a fluke or rose-tinted bias. I think a lot of games just need time to give them the context and perspective that helps people realize that, yeah that one seemingly mid forgotten and sometimes lambasted game was actually very good. Really enjoyed this video, these are the type of video essay Reviews that are 90% of what I watch on youtube; I don't review games, but I play a lot of them, and its the discourse and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses as well as what I love about the games I'm playing that draws me to reviews like this. In that regard, I think you have a lot to offer on all those fronts and to the communities for these games. If I had any constructive observations, it would only be to double down on the confidence in your content--this was already so much more valuable to me than gamespot, ign, and gamesradar reviews would ever be because your passionate about it. That shines through here, and the video reflects that. So let it shine through, as much as you can stand to let it. Then shine through some more. TLDR I know lol. Keep gaming; reach higher.

I like the game, it’s fun, entertaining, and full of potential. It’s definitely full of possibilities but I wouldn’t mind more games that’re open worlded with peak combat and graphics

So "the best" SAO game is a shooter that has a tacked on sword weapon type that feels horrible to use? Ummm no, hollow realization puts fatal bullet to shame, it's an actual real SAO game set in a fantasy setting, 99% of JRPGs have their own fleshed out characters, barely any of them used created characters, created characters is more of a western RPG thing

I went into this one completely blind and I'll agree that it really isn't _that_ bad, but after a while it got super draining and repetitious to me. I think the slow pace of traversal and the limited enemy variety are the game's biggest issues. I think if you take your time with it you could have a lot more fun with it than I did though.

I have been a tales fan and a star ocean fan since the beginning entires, they had their issues at times but always liked them...until recently. It's all felt phoned in. Some interesting things that quickly make me just...want to turn the game off. I tried to like Tales of Arise, I really did. It was just dull and combat while fun was tedious. The last star ocean just felt okay, I did finish it but didnt' care to do the post game dungeon, I started a new playthrough and turned it off 2 hours in. It was enough for me. After 6 hours I turned off the FF7 remake. I just find myself going back to playing the games I loved in the past. FFX, Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean 2. Also AAA games disrespecting our wallets has not helped me want to get anything out of the gate...

I wish Kirito would just get unalived, that would be my favorite game and anime ever.

It's always been one of my favorites and made me really appreciate Matthew Lillard as an actor.

The whole story feels like it started as a madlip. Like one writer set up the GOT style intrigue and betrayal plot. Then a different writer came in, didnt like that so he wrapped it up and made it an ff7 style save the world from degredation by destroying the big structures (mother crystsals /reactors) depleting the earth's resources (ether/mako) for convenience (magic/ electricity). Then a third writer decided to abandon that entirely for a ff13 style: Lets kill god by doing exactly what he asks us to, plot.

The 360 wasn’t my first console, but it was the first console to introduce me and the bros to some amazing online gaming. Always played single player and local but that first time buying xbox live and playing all your favorite games online is just wonderful. The indie games where cool and wild at the time lol and everytime I think of the MLG era, I think of the 360 💚

mutants in manhattan is remembered worse, but korra was worse in the content and gameplay and since, welllll, babylon's fall happened. Also, 4p couch co-op is ridiculous to expect from a platinum action game. I remember a lot of hate because this was when kamiya stopped heading platinum projects and fans that used to call them ninjas for hire started saying they were spread too thin. This persisted until Automata iirc

I dont think people realize it, i don't think platinum even realize it, but mutants in manhattan isnt character action; If you play it like a MUSOU game, the whole thing starts to click a lot more. Items and xp that you only collect at the end of the mission A map you run around and complete missions on to unlock the final confrontation Grinding Simplistic(ish) combat Im playing warriors orochi 3 at the same time as this at the moment and the similarities and playstyles are strikingly similar. I was on forums when this game was being developled and it got shit on for the sole reason that tmnt fans wanted a 4 player couch- co-op game and this wasnt that. it IS fun tho, especially with the hidden bosses.
