Ima a vegetarian so instead of Ombolo i fill the bread with vegetables. There is one more food YOU HAVE TO TRY and its the all time winner for the best comfort food in the history of all comfort foods - Žlikrofi. Its a speciality form my home town Idrija in the northern Primorska region. Its a type of a dumpling.

Slovenia is a green beautiful place but the food here is nothing special in comparison to food just across the border in Italy and Austria. The problem is that the best meat and other ingredients produced in Slovenia are sent to Austria and Italy so it is very hard to find a high quality ingredients among Slovenian suppliers.
