Good idea to get a magnetic mat or a towel when you lean over to work under the hood. Last think you want is to scratch that gorgeous paint. I would definitely get the ADM V2 reservoir, thank me later :-) You wouldn't need to purge the coolant either. This is cheap and relatively easy to install. Just wrap the rubber hoses with the gold DEI wrap (for thermal rejection) near the headers.
@@ParissaKhoury it’s an extra coolant reservoir sold by ADM Performance out of Dallas, TX. It helps a lot with not having to regularly “burp” the system and adds that extra coolant to help keep temps lower. A lot of LT4 guys are running it and they are super happy with it. I’m getting mine installed by him as I write this comment.
A person at a car show with a zo6 had the lid powder coated. First thing I noticed was his lid after driving it to the meet was warm not hot. I went and felt my cover and it was very hot. The power coat was holding in the heat. Your cutting the longevity of your SC due to holding in the heat.
Nice video! Coming along! :D If you do go with a catch can.. take a look at elite engineering or Mighty Mouse, they both make nice setups. I put in the elite engineering Ultra can at the front of my engine by the radiator on the passenger side and install wasn't horrible but you do have to lift the entire supercharger to gain access to the PVC valve and such. I did mine at like.. 1500ish miles I believe it was and already had a decent amount of oil pooling under the supercharger lid. I posted a video of an overview of my setup on my CZcams channel :-) Many people mount it where you mentioned on the driver side off the mount or whatever but I also have a supercharger coolant reservoir tank right there so had to go with a different location :D I believe if you do plan to keep the powertrain warranty you will want to avoid a tune of any kind as even reverting tune back to stock before going into the dealer they can tell by key turn count and a checksum of some sort :-/

After sanding the brushed part I probably would have put a clear coat over it, and then the ceramic.

Do you have info on the coil covers? Painting them as well would really make the engine pop more. Way too much black.

I don't think it will hurt anything really. Tons of people have put them on without any issues. I'm not the best to answer that anyways, sorry.
