Great video Steven. Love the content, keep it up.
Thank you for the great information!
This the video I’ve been waiting for
Just love all the packages you offer… will be talking with you soon on my wide body challenger… 😎
Awesome! Great info, you guys are leading from the front! Go LMR!
I enjoy your videos.
I just got my first ZL1 Camaro, I'm learning a lot from the information you put out.
Thank you! Makes more sense to me now! Aloha!!
thank you very well explained.see you soon with my zl1
Just bought one for my 2018 ZL1
Great video!
For a good starter package- I got the 850 hp package that runs 93 or E85. The car runs really great. I’ve had the car back for 6 mos and NO ISSUES. I ordered some 345 triple 8,s. Hopefully that will keep the power to the ground. Your best bet is to talk to Steven.
Need this for the C8!
Thanks for this video It was a huge help! It would be awesome to see another info video like this for fuel systems needed for these cars with the direct injection. I'm still a little confused on what is actually needed to make 800+ WHP with a direct injected motor.
Actually running a large volume supercharger allows you to drop the rotor speed significantly and achieve the same boost as from a smaller unit, plus as he said the air temperature is lower because of the lower speeds of the rotors. If I were modifying my car I’d go with the 2650 and headers and significant uprated aluminum radiator/oil cooler/big intercooler. Then add a cam/valve train and upgraded fuel system. These 2650s are awesome. I’m inclined to give these guys a call on my V.
*Supporting Mods* is the most underrated part of this whole video.
yeah, and that can be a can go into many directions. We will create a general video for the average guy.
@@gearheadflicks for sure. So many people just want to put a 2650, F1-A, or Twin Turbos on their car and make 1,XXXwhp but all the parts to make it do it reliably get slept on far to often.
Whole new level of respect for you ! I have been considering 2650 magnuson or edlerblock since it has the set up for port injection, but I hear you haft to port the edlerblock to get magnuson level performance. The magnuson has a louder wine pitch sound, and is the best selection out of the box. Magnuson and a stage 3 or 4 cam on my ZL1/1LE 6 speed would be the perfect set up, 200 hp upgrade I'm sure.
The magnuson has better intercooler bricks vs the edelbrock. The edelbrock just isn’t optimized for flow or cooling, whatever the platform.
I tried the the EB couldn’t get much boost. I have since installed the Mag should hit the Dyno early next week.
I have 20,000 miles on my 2650 and it's been an awesome blower. When I'm ready for a bigger build, the supercharger can be cleaned up and moved over to a beefier engine.
Just wait till the R3100 comes out
Man, the horse power that the new Eaton Supercharger is going to make is going to be INSANE
Hello, do you have an idea when it "will" come out I am about to buy next week! Thank you.
@@davidciesielski8251
Not sure, but i'm keeping an eye on it's release date
We need to see the c8 magnuson vs z06
Do we need Katech di fuel pump system or Port Injection Fuel System for that supercharger for avoid fuel starvation issues which directly lead to blown rings and melted pistons aka catastrophic failures ?
What about the Magnusom Vs the Pro Charger ? They prefer the Magnusom but I have seen a lot of Procharger cars
What about the 3100?
With some modification and fabrication, this would look awesome on top of my 3.0.
👍🏾
Could this bolt straight onto a stock 2023 Camaro SS 1LE with the 10speed? I’m looking for a little supercharger whine (like a stock Zl1) Mabe adding just a cold air to hear the whine a little more.
Are there cam options for the LT4 that shift the power to the top end more at the expense of some torque?
Looking at going magnuson on a Zl1 1LE with cam with bigger fuel lobe. Looking to stay on 93 as tank of e85 likely won’t last a whole 20-30 minute track sessionbut might? What kind of power could realistically shoot for without any chance of heat problems?
Was thinking of getting one but my LT1 has 110k miles lol. Should probably spend the money cracking open the motor for a refresh / upgrade. Worried this would kill it even at low boost.
Yeah your right. Stock lt can only handle bout 8-10 psi in stock form . Better safe than sorry 🤙🤙🤙
One good thing about well used motors is they are looser so handle the increased heat better. Down side is, how fatigued are your bolts. Boost it, and see how long she goes. You never know, it could be fine. What I do know is destroying a fresh engine especially if its over something stupid fing blows.
This is the 4th time I've played this video next to my wife.... no acknowledgement yet 🙂
For the C8 too? Is there a 'quiet(er)' option for less of the whine?
I seen in another video somebody mentioned about this that they would not do this SC Without doing heads and Cam 1st. What do you think of that?
😍
Do you have anything for the new Cadillac CT5 V Blackwing supercharged?
I’ve got a jacked up Silverado and I’d like to have LMR be part of my conversations when I explain that this truck is a 1000hp. TSP 427, Tim King 8 speed, triple disc Circle D, Whipple 2.9. I say let’s make it happen! Calling you tomorrow
Why 2650 Maggy and not the 2.9 Whipple ?
What psi or whp do you feel comfortable with SBE LT1?
Before purchasing a whipple for my 2018 Chevy Tahoe will this fit it?
Can you bolt 2650 on 2014 chevy silverado 1500 5.3L z71 lt. If so how much hp/tq are we lookn at.
I want around 800whp on my zl1 but I only wanna run it on pump 93 is that even doable?
Must you do heads and cam for the Magnuson supercharger to make sense one the LT4?
What is the 0-60 improvement on Base C7 with this unit installed.
If I get a grand sport c7, you guys can get it to 700rwhp ?
what about just want daily driver in southern California 2020 ss with more horse power what are my street legal options
@1:10 what are the "correct supporting mods" needed to make that 650-700whp? I have a 2016 camaro 2SS A8 with 89k miles and was thinking of getting this SC along with a 103mm tb/intake
You need fueling supporting mods if you’re not going to swap out the pistons and rods
At what RWHP point do we start getting in the grey area of unsafe for stock internals for the LT4 platform?
Is this compatible with the C8?
Can I use this on a 5th gen ss
Do you still work on C 5s?
But for road racing specifically a turbine style super charger is better isn't it, it has more usable power??
Will it whine like a hellcat?
I have 2022 lt3 z51 corvette, can u super charge my car? Please respond
How would this stack up against the 2.9 Whipple?
Can the transmission of a 6th Gen handle this horsepower?
Could this be used as replacement for LSA supercharger? Do you recommend something else for LS motors?
I just put the Magnuson 2650 on my 5gen ZL1 with my engine build and it hit 957.6 whp and 846.3 torgue with 16 lbs of boost at 7000 rpm.
All the boost. 😈😈
How long does it take for you to normally respond back to emails about one of your packages?
Did you guys end up producing the billet lid for the 2650?
@@LateModelRacecraft nice! Do you happen to have any Dyno numbers? Is there a difference?
@@LateModelRacecraft will it fit under the hood of a 2017 SS Camaro and will a tune be needed after?
How would a forged rod and piston L86 with worked heads, cam, plenty of fuel system in a 2014-2018 RCSB with a 3.0 Whipple compare to a 2650?
Whipple 3.0 takes over past the LT power range. Thats why fords respond better to whipple.more rpm
@Josh Chauvin I have started considering a new project vehicle since I have sold all of my vehicles and I really wanted to build a Gen V LT engine platform and after driving a Gen V 3.0 Whipple on the LT1 in a Tahoe RST with a 10 speed I really wanted one in a RCSB. Granted it was a stock Whipple kit with the stock Whipple tune and boost, stock converter in the 10 speed transmission, but the Tahoe had ARH headers, Borla exhaust, suspension and Wilwood brakes. Then I started reading up on the L8T and thought pulling the L83 out of the RCSB for either a forged L86 or take the L8T and bore it to 4.125" and bump the CR, replace the rods with forged 3.860 stroke rods. Obviously work the L86 or L8T heads, replace the cam, get the modified LT4 HPFP, upgraded fuel injectors, upgrade the low pressure fuel side, with either a F1-A, 3.0 Whipple, TVS2650 or 3100 once it comes out, or like I said the Armageddon TT kit. I'd like to make 900-1100whp on E85 and meth. The Gen V motors seem to make that kind of power very easy while remaining relatively tame compared to the higher HP LS setups I've had or have been around.
I want a Magnuson for my C8
I wish I could get a tvs rotor pack for my GenV M90!! I don't have any cars that you guys have a platform for. Maybe one day. I have 2 GTP's and a Foxbody. Maybe you could get Maggy to make me a rotor pack lol. Love the videos
So you can put this blower on the stock LT1 Camaro and get 700 hp out of it and do it safely ?
@@LateModelRacecraft I would but I’m from Canada 🇨🇦 I am not in the USA 🇺🇸 ! I’m just doing some research on pro charging and super charging for my Camaro ! I am not going to do all this till my warranty is close to being done ! I have lots of warranty on it ! I do not want to lose the factory warranty on it ! The car cost to much money to lose it !
@@LateModelRacecraft give me a phone number I’ll make the call we’ll talk about my Camaro
Whipple 2650 is a better way to go . I've herd bad things about a Magnuson supercharger.
So.. Thats the best i cud get on my 2004 suburban 2500 6.0l... if i want "only" 700-800whp ? .. 😏
Because if you want a chance in hell keeping up with a demon your gonna need it!
Why this over the larger Whipple?
Whipple takes over past thr LT rpm range. Thats why they're better on fords. More rpm
I went with the Whipple, got 600 whp, stock internals, runs super cool,no heat problems,6th gen Camaro!
Nice video, but looking on Mags direct website, it shows max power of 588 TO THE CRANK on this model..... I know you mention WITH bolt on accessories, you can achieve 650-700 TO THE WHEELS...From 588 crank to 700 wheels? Some serious add ons right there. You can tell he never responds to comments, so how do you viewers weigh in on this?
I'm thinking that the mag's direct website is referring to a completely stock engine with factory fuel system exhaust system and everything which has limitations. And he usually that power packages are attainable with supporting mods such as fuel and exhaust and cam
Should I put a Maggie on my C8 vs TT? That have a kit 😂😂 … JK JK
Sadly, the LT4 needs a cam for almost any mods because that the only way the fuel can be increased to supply enough.
Thanks for the 8 minute commercial
Not for 10k dollars
Is this a direct bolt on no mods ? What is the baseline with stock lt4 z06 w LT headers and intake ?
Most people build their cars but don't actually track them. For a track build, would a procharger be a better option or would you still recommend the 2650?
He says a roots style blower is better for tracking it, since it has you leaving corners faster. They're also best for around town, stop light to stop light stuff (if you have sticky tires, like nitto drag radials). He says the centrifical style blowers are for 50mph to 180mph blasts, like for half-mile straight-line races and rolling freeway races.
@@TheHighestGodisGood At the time when I posted this comment, I didn't realize how brutal the torque can be from a roots style blower. I've seen too many guys mention that it can be too much for a roadcourse. A centrifugal allows the power to come on easier for corner exit. It seems the roots blower will just haze the tires too much unless you're keeping your power at or below 750WHP.
@@Cardiakk Agreed. My boss had the C7 Z06 and even with its wider tires, he couldn't put the power down very well.
@NightKing114 Yeah, the Vettes are just too light in the rear. The ZR1 aero and/or 19's in the rear is needed to keep it planted. For the Camaro, 18s are best at all four corners.
@@Cardiakk Yes. And the 18s allow for the wider 305 or 315s I believe, too.
