It is unfair to judge a manager in his first two seasons in terms of winning trophies. Klopp didn’t exactly walk into a club in a great moment so you can disregard his first two years. Winning the league was massive considering how we struggled for so many years.
Taking the club to within a whisker of winning another two PL’s as well as three CL finals, winning one of those, is phenomenal considering the money rival clubs have spent in this time. Won the two domestic cups and reached finals in other occasions. Liverpool would have dominated had we strengthened and had more options and quality in the squad but Klopp simply wasn’t backed. I reckon there is about three or four major signings missing in Klopp’s reign that could have made a huge difference.
Just goes to show what an absolutely brilliant manager Jurgen Klopp really is.
The daily Mail have different figures for net spend during the klopp era..

Klopp has high winning percentage of all Liverpool managers, won everything with a minimum budget than city, arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and man u. During his tenure the academy players greatly improved, his energy , passion, charisma ,the ability to engage supporters , the love for Liverpool city, club and fans is second to none. That's just goes to show how big the shoes are for Slot. So long Nobert ...so long
38 million is our magic number. Not just an average but if you look at most summer transfer windows, our net spend is generally between 35-40 million.
FSG likely are going to make the same mistakes considering they went for a less tested manager, and the coach deal put Alonso and Amorim off most likely...
Not what happened. Its well documented that Alonso didn't feel the timing was right, personally I think he's got his eye on the Real job and Amorim's agent tried to get a massive signing on bonus of £10mil and the club said no thanks. These have both been reported on here as well.

Why would they back slot if they never backed jurgen and this is one reason why it will be hard following jurgen even tho he’s leaving Liverpool with a solid decent squad he worked miracles with the budget he had although the figures can be a bit miss leading in someways

I don’t think that John Henry has been to a game at Anfield this season. Speaks for itself. This guy loves baseball with a passion. All the other holdings, Liverpool, Penguins, NASCAR, golf etc are just business. Sad for the fans that the owner is so disinterested.

The reason we bought Nunez is because of his form as a left sided forward for Benfica -- he is not a number 9 we need to play him on the left
Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth is a wildcard for a left footed lcb to cover big virg. Free transfer this summer and wanted by Edwards in 2020. So if Vvd stays he would be good cover otherwise go for someone big for lcb. Kubo or Bakayoko for rw.

Do you realise Slot come into the club, when players will be away with Euros and Copa. So he won't get much pre season training with everyone. He will need a year and a bit to his tactics embedded
We also need a world class winger if darwin leaves which I don't want but if that does happen we buy Victor from sporting
So the only club we've won less than is Man City? And their spend is 60% higher than ours? and we've won around half of what they have? I'd say our club has been well managed financially. In reality we're never going to match the spending of, certainly Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd and even Newcastle. To my mind if the next coach can equal our haul under Jurgen, with the same net spend, it's a win win. Situation. Winning with financial stability is an excellent way of running a football club.

Craig you're waffling. Players play not the money, as proven by Chelsea ande united. If LFC can get a quality player for one pound that would be great. MacAlister is 38 m Plus add ons does that mean he's not quality?
Why is Klopp getting credit for the front office doing a great job? Net spend includes sales. Which club has been better in the Prem than LFC? We spent money, Edwars and Co were great at generating cash over the course of Klopp's tenure, which Klopp has benefited from greatly.
All of major buys were hand picked by Edwards and his team (Mo, Mane, Diaz, VVD, Allison, Jota, Gini), while all the flops were Klopp's picks (Kieta, Karius, Kobak, he wanted Werner)
Klopp hasn't been great at identifying talent.

Man City is better at generating money than Liverpool. They keep selling their academy players every summer and insert buy back clauses in them.
FSG trust Edwards, so I hope he and his appointments, Hughes and Slot, are financially backed in their first summer at the club. If not, we'll have to move players on.

First of all the price quoted for Couthino is wrong because the add on were never met and Barca still owed money until recently
The players sold by Liverpool not by Klopp were they paid for ? As transfers are normally paid over a 4 to 5 year period with instalments negotiated into the deal . How much did they make or lose on the player? Also when you factor in agent fees legal fees and tax its easy to see the figures arent accurate .
On top of that youve got wages which have more then trebled under Klopp which is also spending .
In 2018 and 2019 season liverpool posted losses so to be honest net spend and how its presented would only work on a computer game not the real world ...its complete fantasy made up by sky sports
