Great technique for transferring the puff pastry!
@@EternalFootman-kr6yx Yes, but it's helpful for anyone not familiar with these little quality-of-life improvements.
His little critique about his lines, at the end, made me laugh. I love how down-to-earth he is.
I’m in my 60’s and just learned how to whip cream the correct way - side to side. The crunchy sound of the spoon pushing down on the pastry was heavenly! Thank you chef Jacques for making time spent in the kitchen a million times better!
I love how Jacques says "puff paste". He is so adorable and humble as well as a superb chef!
As is so often these days, yet another person born in another country who are more American than some that are born here. He’s a champ!
...what?
Jacques, you are a gift to America 🇺🇸. We love you.
To the world.
The GOAT Chef. Glad he's still putting out these shorts for us.
I think this guy is the ARISTOTLE of cooking. He's not the first, and possibly not the best, but he has brought the art to the people! He has that amazing quality of being a demigod but being able to talk to mere mortals such as ourselves.
He was one the best in the 80's for sure. He's just old bro
not the best? bro u must be american wth xD he's Jacques Pepin.. the.. hmm how can i explain: the Jordan or Shaq to basketball..
I watch other cooking channels but always come back to Jacques. That galette looks so tasty 😋😋😋
Thanks for coming back to us!
Love this man! Always something to learn. No slapping his food with endless video cuts just cooking, HIS WAY!
as if he has anything to do with the editing
Thank you Chef! Your professionalism and love of cooking have influenced me during my life as someone who also loves cooking. Merci!
My favorite chef.

Дякувати Богові за цей самородок🙏💎💎
the infinite wisdom that goes into making it this simple... i love it!
I wish I could cook a proper French meal with him. What a legend 🙂. Trop Bien!
Long Live Jacques
this tastes delicious thanks a lot
How wonderful!
I have strawberries, blackberries, & puff pastry in my freezer. I'm going to try this for the 4th of July.
Thank you, Chef Pépin'.
Def not the first time I've seen something similar BUT it's Jacques version and I have to think I'm going to love it. Love the tips about using sugar to roll out the pastry and to roll the pastry back onto the rolling pin. This man's a treasure!
Masterful. 😊😊😊😊
Спасибо большое, пирог выглядит очень Вкусно , !👍Thank you very much, the pie looks very tasty!👍
Beautiful! Thank you chef!
I'm always intrigued that chef Pépin so committedly adopted the imperial measurement system. I work with many European immigrants (now citizens) who still use metric for most things (and I don't blame them).
J. P. I love your work, taking every word in, and I am a 50 years old.
Love watching you create. My favorite chef. 🥰❤🇨🇦
Wonderful!
Brought back memories of my Swedish grandmother who made an American flag cheesecake for her grandkids every summer. She made it in a glass pyrex lasagna dish, and then let us decorate the top for the flag with blueberries and strawberries ❤. She lived to be 100 years old. RIP: (1916-2016)
Looks yummy.
Brilliant 👏
I love my Gallete, mad with a pie dough pastry, but somehow i never tried one with puff pastry as i always thought it too fiddly. This was an excellent way to try it. Challenge accepted.
Спасибо вам! Обожаю вас! Вы лучший !
I adore him 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very nice. Pretty. Thanks Best Chef. ❤
Oh my goodness the bottom of that pastry looks amazing. Thank you as always for the fantastic video.
I'm going to make this. So excited.
Thank you.
And God Bless America!!! 🇺🇲
Amen, my sister in Christ. 🙏
America!!!!!!!
A wonderful video, real ASMR feeling to it.
God bless this man
It's absolutely perfect, Chef. God bless you and your gentle spirit always.
Love galette!
We as a country are better off with your presence, Jacques!
The lines were absolutely perfect chef. Thank you!!!
i love you Jacques.
Wonderful and looks delicious! Happy 4th!
Jolie! Merci metre!
This is so cute! Thank you.
Lovely!
Such a lovely person
Thank you for not having on black gloves
Inspired! I would like to take a bite out of that. Perhaps I will!
I had a savory galette for the first time in my life at the farmers market last weekend with asparagus potato onions and petite Swiss.... it was one of the best things I've ever had in my life❤❤❤
Come on now, name one TV cook who can create something like this! Flay, Ramsay, Fieri, and other TV cooks can't make a puff pastry from scratch. I saw Jaques do it. Peppin is a true master chef.
They aren't really cooks, anyway. They are more like "vulgarisers" (in the old sense of the word, as in vulgar latin, has nothing to do with curse words). They've taken the French and Italian art of cooking, Western cooking, and spread it to the English-speaking masses. But put one of them up against a real French or Italian chef and they would be dead in the water. Jacques Pepin is a true hero LEGEND and master.
@@JerjerB Agree
anyone can make puff pastry
@asdf2593 Can you? I have never seen any TV cook make it from scratch. It is very involved.
Every time JP makes dessert on that cutting board all I can think of are the 1000 garlic cloves smashed and minced on it.
Very nice!!
Jaques, I know ur homemade puffpaste recipe from a Baking with Julia episode.. To this day I enjoy reviewing ❤I'm certainly going to do this recipe for myself this weekend.
A Plus!
When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought this used cherries rather than raspberries. I bet that would also be delicious.
Watch Jacques after a long day end up snoring within minutes
✍️👍✍️👍
USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SIR.
Some people got a long way
Chef J. P. can raise my flag anytime he wishes❤❤😅.
