- First in this summer's Live Stream Studio Demo series is DH McNabb. See the schedule of more live-streaming events at www.cmog.org/live
Watch as DH McNabb demonstrates for his class, Glass: A Fluid Transfer of Knowledge, which will focus on strengthening students' understanding of glassblowing fundamentals including good posture and stance, efficient motion, and team cohesion.
DH McNabb grew up as a son of a military officer in Tampa, FL. His eyes often wandered the globe in his father's den, seeking to find where his parents had lived and traveled. He dreamt that he too would travel and glass has done just that. Glass has enabled him to see and to learn: a world, a vision, a practice. Corning, Seattle, Prague, Lybster, Weil am Rhein, Murano, Nuutajärvi, and Istanbul are just a few of the places this material has taken McNabb. Learn more at www.cmog.org/bi...
Is there ever a time when after watching the entire process, they actually show the final results of all their work
+MaryAnn VanMeter Hi MaryAnn, if you watch any of our recent demos from this year we've taken this feedback into account and are now including a photo or video of the glass object out of the annealer when we can. Thanks!
Corning Museum of Glass Thank you Corning for the answer to my question. I have become such a fan and so your answer makes me very happy, Thanks again and keep up the groovy projects!
didn't show finished piece so didn't see the play of color.
You people rock! Awesome work. Unbelievable how perfect those spirals came out. Wish I had the time and money
(and lived back in NY) to take some courses to learn to work such a fascinating material. Grew up about 20 minutes from the school but only since I've moved to AZ have I really started to build the desire to learn new mediums. xD The universe always seems to work out that way, huh? = ) Much love to you all for doing what you do!
Even the camera work getting that bubble into focus in the red hot glass. Perfect!
Thanks for watching!
Love the stripes but not fond of actual piece. What is it suppose to be?
beautiful piece and talented artist but more interaction would have been nice
At minute 24, when he makes a blue spiral around the glass. Why is the glass off center?
For optical effect - there is already a spiral on it, so the two spirals overlap differently in the end.
ive seen the guy assisting him also assisting Stephen rolfe powell. anybody know his name? dudes got mad skill
thank you kindly, he's very very good, my compliments to them both.
