  • Smartlocks are becoming increasingly popular because the convenience offered by automating the locking process offers advantages in many areas. In Germany and Austria, Nuki is a major provider that has really opened up the market here. However, it is well known that the competition never sleeps, and outside of Germany some of them were already there earlier. In my opinion, one disadvantage with Nuki is that you have to buy many functions separately via additional devices or that some internationally known functions are simply not available. The Welock SECBN51, which we want to look at today, integrates a whole range of these functions directly into the product. In addition to the app control, which is probably standard nowadays, you also have the option of using RFID chips and your fingerprint directly on the lock. As an additional add-on, you can also unlock the Welock remotely, but this requires an additional WiFi box.
So much for the gray theory. Let's take a look at the lock in the short test and I'll tell you what I think of the device. I'm only going to give a rudimentary explanation of the installation, as this always depends on your door and the lock used.
