It's good to see no arguments in the comments section. As a Chinese-American, I have many Indian American and Pakistani American friends. The one thing we have all have in common is that we don't care about the politics of our ancestral country. So it appears to me that rivalries in Asia aren't really due to religious or cultural differences, but rather governmental. It's good that India, Pakistan and China are becoming less and less aggressive towards each other
True, back in Vietnam i like most people used to really hate China because of tradition, but since the day i’ve got to the West my mind started to change. I’ve started to chat with everybodu and feel like there’re a lot in common between China Vietnam Korea and Japan so we became real good friends since somehow by talking to them, it make me feel that they’re closer than the Westerners.

Malaysia and Indonesia are like two siblings who quarrel so much but always get along. In the end, they share the same food, share the same culture and they speak roughly the same national language. I mean, look at how we teamed up against the British chef who said rendang wasn't crispy.

That end of the chinese-vietamese relation bit is off because right now they're at odds as china is trying to dominate Vietnam economically and dominate the south china sea. Which is why vietnam is strengthening ties with the US

@@lucdauge5097 That's because your 8 hours of class go over things accurately and in detail, while this video is just a cursory summary of things that even include outright mistakes. Most obviously, the Turkey vs Saudi Arabia map is wrong. But also things like the ROC's capital is Nanjing, not Taibei, and its 3 noes policy was adopted in 2008, not 1979. Those 8 hours of class are going to be far better for you than a 17 minute video by some random guy on the internet.
Malaysia and Indonesia is more like sibling rivalry, most hate are online roasting, it caused by old dispute, something that today's generation couldn't relate too much. but when meet in person, we dont hate.

Turkey and Russia, reminds me of a Model UN conference I went to over a year ago. It was a historical communist committee (mostly SSRs along with Warsaw Pact nations, China, and Cuba) and I represented Romania. The topics were the Korean War, Cuban Missile Crisis, and the China USSR split. Since the DPRK delegate was absent, we skipped the Korean War and went right to the Cuban Missile Crisis which ended being the main topic for the entirety of the conference. Due to the US placing missiles in NATO Turkey, we decided it was best for the Warsaw Pact to invade Turkey. The troops invaded by passing through my country since the Caucasus side is too steep and mountainous. It was an entertaining committee

The "three noes" has the 1979 version and 2012 version... 1979 was "no interactions, no negotiations, no compromise", basically KMT used to have their own "one China policy" as well. After taiwan became democratic in 1990s, KMT gave up on "one China policy" but decides to be China friendly instead.

The Japan and South Korea rivalry still exist today, their economies today are in fierce competition. It's just that their rivalry with China and North Korea is so much greater that it overshadows Japan South Korea rivalry.
Historically, Korea is always just a vassal of China or a horseman tribe.

You could have mentioned about the proxy wars between the two Middle Eastern powers. They have sadly affected so much of the Middle East. Also, curious to know why you didn't mention about Hong Kong! That has been such a major issue being a territorial in nature.
Because there is no "rivalry" involving Hong Kong. The only rivalry would be between China (Qing, republic, ROC, and PRC) and Great Britian (British, England, UK) involving the transfer of a territory/colony after 100 years.

Lol I was born in Philippines and in 2018, I went to Singapore. This has nothing to do with the video but the next part will. Anyway, I went with my dad and I also got to have a tour around Sumatra (Indonesia) after that, we went back to Singapore. The next day, we went to Malaysia to visit LegoLand! and in the video it says that Indonesia and Malaysia are enemies but I kinda like both. The entire 19th century on south America was actually really interesting and caused alot of interesting rivalries to be born

The conflict has supsided with india in china 2 days ago chinese and indian troops clash at the borders
Kind of surprised the Russian-Chinese and Russian-Japanese rivalaries were overlooked as they ended not so long ago. Also Russian-Saudi Arabian rivalry is heating up.
There's also a conflict between Japan and Russia about the so called Northern Islands, that is a couple of islands north of Hokkaido.
