What Cleetus might realize or not is that I at least respect him and enjoy his content because he doesn’t deal with drama and conflict. His stuff is fun to watch and enjoyable Bc there isn’t a bunch of BS in it. That’s something to consider, I look up to cleet Bc of how he is able to handle stuff and just have fun and no drama.
I don’t think cleetus will ever see this but this is something I hope he does one day.

Garrett is 100% a stand up guy, he's super humble and recognizes everything and everyone that has helped him along his journey.
I first met him in 2017 at 1320s Ice cream cruise, it was awesome! This podcast was a great episode and love that you're a part of Garretts events/life
Cleetus is one of the few channels I actually enjoy and follow. How each friend/employee has become a character development story of its own is pretty cool.
He's so transparent too that's what makes it rad. Everyone who has issues just ignores them or shys away but Cleetus puts it all front and center, like here in his episode he would say like real figures of amounts of money. He does that on his channel too, and when his old partners Cooper and Jeremy sort of went away from the channel he was open and straightforward about that too. I think that's worth a lot and part of why his fans help clean up his racetrack when the events are over.
Cleetus is the most down to earth, generous and all around kind person on CZcams. Not once have I been to an event with NO trash left behind, until I went to the freedom factory. He has earned hella respect.
Yeah once I saw him fueling up his corvette at the drag strip and the wind casually blew his hat off and I picked it up for him and we briefly spoke. Super genuine guy and will always be one of my favs!

Cleet stay away from the hate. Having 3 million subs who watch you because of you creating fun content will keep you around forever. Grass grows fast but dies in a drought. Trees grow slow but can withstand a drought. Stay humble.

It's really interesting hearing Cleat talk about the side of things you don't see on his videos and how big and complex his whole operation is to keep driving his platform to the next level. Especially the financial risks he's gone through to get where he is.
Crazy to hear how tight he ran the finances at the time he bought the track, I would have never guessed it was that tight seeing it all happen. Huge respect to you brother.

There was a time he was selling a lot of stuff including a video camera worth a few hundred? To sell something so little so cheap it was obvious he was scraping the barrel at least to me because I knew the camera didn't have a heck of a lot of value. It's probably worth more to keep than it is to sell used because it functioned.
When he sold the c8 i kinda had an idea. But he believed in himself and invested in what he loves. Crazy how awesome this story is
Makes me feel a lot better about my business. I’ve had a few times where things got tight and considered throwing in the towel but just buckled down and kept going.
Cleetus and Roman could make some epic content. Its amazing how far cleetus has come to now owning a whole freaking race track.

You guys may or may not read this, but I've been following Garrett since the Cleetus video and I knew that he has given his entire soul into building the brand he has today. I have since started my own business as a Franchisee and have been struggling and grinding for two years and I've felt so alone. To know that my biggest inspiration, a person I highly regard and look up to, a man that has probably saved my life simply by making fun content that I watch to keep my depression from getting to me, to know that he has gone through worse struggles and overcame them makes me feel so confident that my business will thrive. This was awesome to see, super relateable and so inspiring. Thank you for the awesome show.
We seen Cleetus at his track in Bradenton a couple weeks ago and loved it!! I wish my son could have met you that day. When you came up to the fence his smile grew! Hes a big fan!

I found Cletus's channel when he was swapping motor after motor into Leroy. Then the build up of Neighbor. When he bought Ruby from an auction. I was a hooked fan. Been watching the channel ever since. The only drama I want to see in his videos is the scramble to get the car back together for the next round of racing. That is all the drama needed for us car folk.
I’ve followed ol’ Cleet since before Leroy had an LSA supercharger and have always enjoyed his content. His content has worked for me and millions of others for over 5 years now! Honestly, Cleetus partnering with other youtubers and famous racers is his next big step. Seeing him drift with Vaughn and race stadium trucks with Robby is so exciting! I watch cleetus because there is no drama there is no politics and no bullshit that gets force feed in our face like other channels and other outlets. It's an escape to see that and I would be bummed if that went away!! Good podcast guys!!

I liked this interview up until the point where it was insinuated that in order to grow you have to be controversial. I actively seek to eliminate controversy and drama from my life. I got rid of cable TV a long time ago because it was a constant barrage of fake controversy on reality TV and "news" without any journalistic integrity. I deleted facebook and avoid most social media platforms for the same reason. Controversy is exhausting and I know I'm not alone here.
I think Garrett's Cleetus Mcfarland character is successful because it's fun and entertaining, and his content doesn't leave you angry or annoyed after watching his episodes. Cleetus Mcfarland, Stuff Made Here, Smarter Every Day, Cody's lab, etc are all proof that controversy isn't required to to be successful. Continuing growth is a challenge for any business, but generating controversy for the sake of gaining attention isn't the answer.

Also extremely cool to see you guys working together contemplating platform strategies and possible future events. You can tell he's genuinely stoked to be working with you. I honestly absolutely love and respect Cleetus for the way he makes content, NOT pushing the controversy button, it would be an instant out for me if he ever went down that road consistently, he just does a ton of cool stuff, makes mistakes doing so, does a ton of stupid stuff as well, and just rolls with it, and lets us enjoy it as well. Nothing but love for Cleetus!

I needed that IRS Story from Cleetus today. I don't have IRS trouble but the stress of being self employed has been all over me and seeing him dealing with the same kinda stuff made me feel WAY better. Its not just me dealing with this crap and it does always work out.

I will say the people that are at the events are awesome my wife’s wedding rings fell out my pocket at a cleetus and cars. Someone turned them in and we was able to get them back it was a huge relief. So thank you to staff and fans for being so awesome!

Sad to hear Roman talk about having to be controversial to be successful. The current algorithm promotes that but it’s not sustainable. The only guys who have been around for the long run been relationships not burn everything around them .
I started watching cleet in 2019 and man I love his channel so much. I’ll get off a long day/night of work kick off my boots do what I gotta do. Then just sit back and tune in, we really don’t need cable with creators like cleet.
This was a great conversation. Listening to the guys I grew up watching talk about raising their children right, made my day!
So cool to know Cleeter recognizes that most of his fans feel that way. He doesn't know us but a lot of us feel like we know him. And probably do better than we or he knows. It's crazy but that's just how it goes with this game. I've heard a few CZcamsrs talk about being kinda weirded out by fans acting like they know them and then realize ...well they probably do. Lol at least know what to expect with someone authentic on and off screen like Cleeter and crew!
Cleetus' story is an incredible one. I've been watching his channel since the beginning, and he's one of the few that I watch every single damn video. It's so cool watching the CZcamsrs I follow coming together and making this epic content.
i used to watch cleetus when he was first starting out. its crazy how much money people seem to get on youtube and almost anyone can do it if you have the right formula.

Cleetus is my favorite automotive youtuber. One of my favorite things about his channel is it is a break from political BS and Drama in general. I can just enjoy the automotive content.

I just bought tickets to the Bristol 1000, and went to the Freedom 500 this spring. Cleetus is the hardest working man on youtube. The guys literally runs everywhere he goes. Which is jarring since hes 9 feet tall.
This was so awesome for Cleet to be able to open up about real life issues is so humbling.

Absolutely the best conversation covering so many real topics. The concerns as a student, family opinion, risk, fear, the gambles, the gauntlet game. Cleetus driving long way to get to a Law class where they showed a movie! They should make this interview required-viewing for all kids leaving high school. Psychology, fear, being/becoming a new parent--what a great conversation!
