For anyone wondering, he said "My dudes" 38 times in this video. That's ~4 "My dudes" a minute!
Cons he listed:
-you lose any controls on your stock steering wheel
-the wheel is closer to you than a regular one (so if your shorter like me u may be very close to the wheel to reach the peddles)
-the turn signal is far from your hand so you have to manually reach for it// it stays blinking when u turn it won’t automatically turn off
Pros:
-your car can’t get stolen because u can take the wheel w you 😉
Lol literally the main reasons I am getting one cause my locks don’t work
My signals still turn off automatically- just do it correctly and it will - at least for me (‘05 RSX) as reference

closer wheel is a pro for me and a lot of other tall people because it gives you more room and you can take it of when getting in. highly recommend if leg room or getting in the car is a problem!

Honestly - I’m not about anything fancy - like cruise control and volume on the wheel - I enjoy having the security of knowing my car is safe - as long as you get the proper setup and install correctly- it should have no issue ( airbag light, signals , etc ) - as an additional, it’s better to keep your stock anyways if anything does happen - safe driving fellow car dudes/gals

Different hub sizes and different depths of the dish all affect it but at the end of the day it’s really preference. There’s also extensions you could get if your signals are to far away

Does the holes matter like the 5 holes or 6 holes?
Keep in mind people: on newer cars there’s more reliance on the airbags to protect you in an accident, older cars aren’t, and sometimes the airbags don’t even work. If you have a newer car and intend to put in a quick release, invest in a 3 or 5 point harness, that way you don’t loose your safety too much.

also when and if you install it make sure your wheels are straight so when you put the wheel on it’s not misaligned, ik from experience 😅
had problem with turn signal...did not stay on....problem was the hub..make sure arrow points up
It works con I believe de sensor is not on the steering wheel, if not to the mechanism that actually steer the wheels
i just fixed nrg type of all compartments and now i feel the steering wheel heavier...is it normal or should i do something tha make it more lighter?

I was going to say if your turn signal stays on when you turn it could be the steering spring going out.
You can always get a flat steering instead of a deep dish wheel my dude. The flat wheel will allow you to come closer to the controls and be able to adjust your seat a little if you wanted my dude.

The reason your turn signal stays on is because you removed your clock spring which is what turns it off when your wheel comes back to center
Does the hub only work for a Mazda ?
You have a deeper dish wheel that makes it worse with the quick release mechanism thickness

Hey, I have the same short hub and quick release but I'm still trying to figure out what steering wheel I want. I'm just concerned that my wheel might poke out too much and will be too close to my face. How was your setup? did it feel too close?
Yeah it did. I am not going to lie but over time I got use to it. If I find another steering wheel that is somewhat flat not to much poping out I will change it out.
You can get a short hub too if it sticks out

Do you need a quick release with an aftermarket steering wheel?
Yes you do because the quick release is the middle part that will connect to the after market steering wheel and the placement of the steering wheel. I hope this helps

The reason the signal dont reset is because the after market steering wheel does not have a clock spring, my dudes

reach the blinkers
Flat wheel instead of dished wheel to not be close to the wheel
For the controls on the steering wheels some people make custom metal attachments that go behind the quick release hub and sandwiches to be able to connect your cruise control

Yeah? They have a locking cover for the hub to prevent that though
One thing that's a bit scary about this mod is that I see a lot of people throwing this mod on cars but not adding in any additional safety features.
I'm surprised more people aren't afraid of crashing head-first into composite materials at like 30-50mph.
Ya'll are built different. For me, this is car-equivalent of riding a motorcycle with no helmet. To be fair--riding a motorcycle is way more dangerous, so what's a little brick wall to run your head into in a crash? No importa. 😂
Let's also be honest with ourselves about the "anti-theft" benefits of removing your steering wheel and taking it with you. Is it REALLY that viable to take it with you when you get out of your car unless you're anywhere other than home or in some real niche cases? I've never seen people just coming into work with steering wheels in their hands. I've seen this on race tracks, but that's about it.
I don't know man, this just seems like one of them mods that people do b/c it's cool, but probably shouldn't do, b/c it's a bad idea. This adds like no value to a car aesthetically, b/c most people aren't checking out the steering wheel in someone's car and getting impressed by it. If you're going to do this, why not go all out and also get racing seats?

The only reason why you would need one is if there is limited space for you to squeeze in between the seat and wheel to get in the car like having to get in the car where the doors are welded shut or if you have a race car where space is limited between the roll cage ,seat and steering wheel. So please do explain why you have to have a detachable steering wheel on a street car?

The line on the top of the steering wheel in the center is for when you're racing in a straight line and you pull the front end off the ground you know the steering wheel is straight when the front end comes back down. Do front wheel drive cars get the front tires off the ground? I laugh at people like this.
