the problem is the casters have poor knowledge of the game, they cannot point out the brilliant tactics or moves used by a player. they'll just say in the end, "i cannot believe he won that". the casters have no idea what sort of game moves led to the win.
Not to mention the amazing micro with the zealots and HT after the army united... pulling back the zealots just as the lurkers burrowed in a panic only to meet their demise to storm as they were all grouped up. That was all-time.

If it's Mini and Rush then I wouldn't mind either of them winning, maybe Mini this time and Rush next time because Mini is gonna get in his head about always finishing second, he's that kind of emotional player.
Mini is my absolute favorite Protoss to watch. He really uses every unit and racial advantage to its fullest. Real pleasure to watch. I'm really hoping for a Mini vs Rush Finals. We know Mini can slay another Zerg, so the best storyline is Rush facing off against clearly the best PvZ player in bw right now.
Honestly SnOw has complete mastery of the PvT matchup too. He consistently gets eliminated by Zergs or other Protoss. He's also almost always put into a group of death so the fact he even makes it into r8 in the first place is usually remarkable. I quite enjoy them as well. I feel like Mini is without a doubt the most terrifying player to Zerg players and it's always a treat to watch. I hope both players get a good run going because of 11 seasons so far, protoss has only won two, and placed runner up another half dozen times. They're quite overdue as a whole.
I am quite surprised how the work of Lee Hyun Kyung is underestimated. Since the interviews are translated I started to appreciate her work. She is amazing! BTW, people on Ro 24-16: Protoss are so weak. People on RO 4: Protoss are so OP.
It's actually tournament rules. Gg indicates that you've withdrawn the game, PP indicates that you're having an issue and need to pause the game. Typing anything else in game is against the rules as well. That's why players usually spam the lobby chat because it's their only real chance to type anything else in, though they usually just end up warming up their hotkeys with the opportunity.
@@dogbread7975 Terran is the easiest race in the game. Best units in the mid game in each matchup. Most defensive race as well, very hard for the other races to actually kill. The hardest part for terran is M&M micro, but that's only used in one of the 3 matchups.
Let's sign a petition to make the next ASL just Mini fighting a gauntlet of Zerg players. We can set up some TvTs on the side for Artosis to cast, not like anyone else cares about that.

Actually makes perfect sense, I've seen the same thing happen to scourge as well. I think one of the two lings is spawned as the original (player color) and the other is cloned (neutral color). Probably has to do with how they coded it originally.

What was queen doing game 1? Massively supply blocked, then he spawns 6 lings plus he has more. He can surround the zealots but insteads runs his lings up and let's them get trapped.
I absolutely agree with Mini on his stance with Queen. His ZvZ is amazing, absolutely unstoppable ZvZ. His ZvT is also great. His ZvP however is his worse matchup though. And his performace against Mini shows. If he going to try win another ASL, he needs a ton of improvement against ZvP. If he can improve his ZvP a ton in the next ASL, he has strong possibility of winning the next one.
Som Nice theoretical sidelines invented by Mini with really interesting opening traps. Queen wasn't aware of this new theory and was often to late with counterplay. Well done mini. Always nice to see new theory get tested in a high class match.

Funny that both scan and nyoken as well as tastosis thought the cannon in game three was destroyed. You can clearly see mini cancelled it. Totally changes how you look at that game.
Hm it looks weird. Maybe its the footage? The cannon explodes at 59HP which seems like it was canceled, but there is also rubble left and it was morphing in, so it should have been finished and not possible to cancel anymore.
@@Eckendenker Good point about the rubble. It might be that when a building is warping in, there are two cancel animations. One where the warp hole just closes and another where the destruction animation occurs if the building is actually materializing. You can even see his minerals refund right after he does it.
Ok, I have 2 responses to this. 1. Once a building completes but is doing the warping animation, debris is left if it's cancelled or destroyed. 2. If he did not cancel, it would've been taken out anyway. Cancelling allowed him to make an extra zealot. I believe those lings would've killed it before it shot at all, if not taken 1 shot total. It was a good call.

That first game is probably the most flawless game ever. The lings at the there were completely irrelevant the game was over by then.
The intro stat of Mini getting a 91.7% win rate through the tourney if he sweeps Queen, that's a Flash kind of number to make it into the finals with.
Yea with toss I'd say it's ruffly 75% easier to do with toss then Terran also don't compare mini to flash, old flash would fucking wipe this nerd 🤓

Funny that both scan and nyoken as well as tastosis thought the cannon in game three was destroyed. You can clearly see mini cancelled it. Totally changes how you look at that game.
Hm it looks weird. Maybe its the footage? The cannon explodes at 59HP which seems like it was canceled, but there is also rubble left and it was morphing in, so it should have been finished and not possible to cancel anymore.

Good point about the rubble.
It might be that when a building is warping in, there are two cancel animations. One where the warp hole just closes and another where the destruction animation occurs if the building is actually materializing.
You can even see his minerals refund right after he does it.
Ok, I have 2 responses to this.
1. Once a building completes but is doing the warping animation, debris is left if it's cancelled or destroyed.
2. If he did not cancel, it would've been taken out anyway. Cancelling allowed him to make an extra zealot. I believe those lings would've killed it before it shot at all, if not taken 1 shot total. It was a good call.
Poor queen, hope this doesnt leave him traumatized…
