@@yeon723 Rush was in multiple positions where he talked himself into taking the play that was more risky and ended up causing him to lose. The biggest one is game two, trying to go for soma when the lings and mutas were harassing and threatening to backdoor him already but he talked himself into rushing into a loss.

This would ruin the videos algorithm performance on a number of metrics most importantly clicks after viewing completion. I agree spoilers suck but they’re already giving you the convenience of a VOD, you can’t expect them to nuke their ratings with an hour of still picture

Spoilers: This match really makes me want to see Bisu vs Soma. Soma looked unbeatable. Bisu is my favorite player and the reason I started watching Brood War in the first place. Seeing his PvZ against Soma who looks fantastic would be very exciting in my opinion

Man, back in the Flash days I used to be all over the Terran OP train but in the last couple of ASL tournies Zerg just seems so fucking oppressive. Soma took a shit on Rush's chest. It seems like Zerg overall has more options, kill moves and general agency over the course of the game than Terran or Protoss. Maybe there are just a lot of top Zerg players atm. I realise now that Flash was just that good he made Terran look broken.
Zerg requires the least amount of buildings, has the most responsive units, and punishes other races mistakes harder because their units are much faster. If you mess up once you just die.
Terran is still really strong but these days the maps are better for Zerg than they were back then. It's kind of an unspoken truth that back in the hayday of BW, maps were designed to help Terran as ZvZ finals didn't draw viewers and some of the Zergs back then were just too dominant
I've always liked Soma. I always root for him. For me he's the biggest underdog. If he makes it to finals vs Bisu, very good chance he'll win vs Bisu. His PVZ is the strongest
You don't need timestamps when you see the match duration, I know exactly what happened and could have told you it was 2 quick zerg wins and a midgame zerg win based on the timing alone

Yes agree they should have an anti spoiler still frame that runs at the end for like 45min or whatever. But there were youtube browser addons back in the day that hid the remaining time or added a random fake amount of remaining time
It's even worse as a late viewer. The title of these videos past the group of 16 tells all. It wouldn't be bad if the later videos didn't show up, but sometimes after watching some of the group of 24 vods it will have the literal finals as the next video or in the recommendations so I already know. I really hate seeing the player names in these vids and it's been like this forever.
SPOILER I feel like while soma had god like decision making, especially in the first game, it went more like Rush had very bad decision making with the advantages he had and threw the games, all except the first one where he clearly got outplayed.

They don't go in the recording blind. They only give commentary that's not a giveaway who actually won, as they likely watched the game and/or knew the results beforehand. I think Arty's trying to be consistent with his comment at the end of Ro. 16 about the outcome of this match that Rush is likely to take the whole series IIRC. Not to mention that Rush took care of soma last season so he thought that this will be an easy victory.

Rush is obviously one of the best Terran player, but did you guys noticed that he skipped the bunker in all three matches, and he would just die to aggression and counter attack? In all 3 games, just having a bunker at home to defend would have make such a great impact. Instead, he cuts corners going CC first without bunker. It is fine if you are Protoss, but the main goal of the Terran is to survive to the late game in early game.

There's an add-on called Anticipation that I use. It's a bit buggy so it doesn't always hide times, but it's better than nothing.
