Honda Civic Tourer SR i-DTEC Diesel: Update at 100k miles

- A update from the Honda Civic Tourer camp now we have crossed 100k miles. Latest mileage (as of today) is now 102,500 miles, and we are piling the miles on quickly at the minute. All good other than a couple of minor issues with components I am not to bothered about. Booking the car in for a bit of preventative maintenance while I am away in December. Also a quick look at the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons all season tyres I run on the Civic, which have proved very durable. Over 30k miles on the set now.
I like the car very much and have owned for 15 months, does everything I want, but it just isn't a Volvo. I owned an S60 D5 for 5 years. The quality and solidity isn't there
I had a non-tourer i-DTEC SR, same Civic generation, and it was an excellent underrated vehicle. It was comfy, practical, the Magic rear seats were super useful and it easily pulled 55mpg+ without even trying. I traded it in for an FK2 Type R which could only get 32mpg if driven painfully slowly - which i only ever did once.
I have the hatchback and has 120 thousand miles on it now not a bit of bother still getting 75 miles to the gallon but I do a lot of motorway miles 👍

I have a 65 civic tourer that I bought at 1 year old, was ex Honda fleet car. I really like it, the zero road tax, massive boot space and great MPG means I will probably hold onto it for while unless anything major comes up.
I have this car. If only it was still £1.40 a litre. Try £1.94 now, which is on the way down from £199.9
Hi. If You are doing 75, then it is 70 on sat nav. Some difference on mpg You can get from 1) exchange air filter every 5000 2) overinflate tyres (gently) 0,2bar (if You do it more, it will use middle of the tyre, if its underinflated it will use sides) I do keep My on 2,6bar all around.

The oil filter should be blue, OEM all the way 😂. Enjoyed the video.
For mpg consider the type of tires. The all season/winter tyres have a higher rolling resistance and also the colder weather will both result in lower figures. I had 'all seasons' on during summer and they got shredded pretty quick so i'd swap to 'summer' tyres most of the time and maybe swap to all season/winter during winter.

Is it difficult to do the oil and filter change yourself?
Hi i have same car but i have one issue with my car when i full my diesel tank then diesel shaking sound comes in cabin on specially braking on local roads its very irritating have you face this issue but when half tank used then the shaking sound is gone if you know how to fix this plz let me know

2.2 DTEC, wanted the bigger engine because I drive mountains, Autobahn and occasionally sporty.
I think to skip in that honda 1.6 i dtec from mitsubishi asx 1.6 gasoline
anything you move into from a civic diesel will cost more in fuel and be less reliable....
