i remember my cousin and i rode this ride seven times in a row because nobody was there so they allowed us to stay on then we went on minebuster right after...ahh good times.. thank goodness im going again in august

That was my favorite ride at Canada's Wonderland! Can't believe they tore it down....
It was a fairly old ride and did end up costing the park quite a bit of money when it came to repairs. It was a tough choice for them to make since it was still very popular

I love how they kept many of the elements for Yukon Striker: Colour scheme, loop (which was never done before for a Dive coaster of its type) and the helix at the end
This ride has so many air time humps wich makes u fly out of ur seat, soo much fun
Why does everyone say that slingshot replaced this, slingshot is like 300 feet away from this thing on the other side of another ride, it's an empty space

I actually think Flight Deck and Time Warp will be taken down for a B&M invert. Im not to sure if the will take down SPINEbuster, but I also hope Wild Beast gets RMC and maybe take down the Bat for an RMC expansion or flat ride.
R.I.P. Skyrider!! I was a ride operator at Wonderland, and had the opportunity to work this ride for a while! Never rode it, though!

One of my favourites at the park but it's sad they're going to remove it on Sept. 1, 2014. I've had many good memories on this ride.

this ride i think gave me permanent brain damage, but the airtime at 1:00 and on those hills at the end are INCREDIBLE
Went on this with 3 of my chums, two of them were girls.

I remember seeing this In the park around 2008, I was too short to ride it then and by the time I went back to wonderland after a few years it was gone. I believe my older brothers went on it and said there was a lot of headbanging but I wouldn't know because it's gone.

I remember the one and only time I was ever on this roller coaster. We got about half way up the hill, it broke down and we had to get slowly pulled backward back to the boarding area
That. . doesn’t make sense. They pulled the drain down the lift hill?
@@sharpproductions we are about half way up the first hill and suddenly the ride stalled. I guess they reversed the pulleys and pulled us backward down the hill so we could get off at the place where you get into the roller coaster car

My hopes are that they will build a new, modern stand-up roller coaster (like Mantis) in place of where this once was. I liked this ride, but I do admit that this one was one of the shakiest rides I've ever been on. Sitting down and raising your feet was a ton of fun, though.
TheIdiot Nope, gonna be either a Floorless or Winged Coaster. There are like 2 Bulldozers, a couple of Excavators and a Cement truck there now, AND at Behemoth's HammerHead turn around too. So my hopes are... that the station is at Skyrider's spot, you come out, turn around onto a lift hill (like Leviathan) You go up. Then do that drop that Gatekeeper does when it flips you upside down before dropping you. After that you go into an Immelmann loop that goes towards Splash works. The Coaster does a few tricks and Zero G rolls over Splashworks before hitting a turn around under the Behemoth Hammerhead. Then it makes it's was back over splash-works again Doing a few Airtime hills, barrel roll and maybe a Helix before hitting the final break run into the Station.
Excellent. i'm heading there tomorrow, I guess I'll be checking that out! Either of those rides is a worthy replacement in my opinion.

EDIT: Go back yesterday, but I didn't see anything new or interesting. There's what might be a new area of dirt behind the water park, but that's about it. Not much to see as of yet.

I went on it in 85 the day it opened 1 to 2 hours to get on 36 years ago today it opened.
Gosh I went on this years ago , I was like 10. Super painful
maybe because I rode this ride early, but I found the drop on this ride for intense than the leviathan lol
I really wanted to go on this,because it was my dads favourite ride when he went as a kid but they of course destroyed it not to long after i went. I got sad.

Tbh honest I think they should have taken down both Flight Deck and Time Warp and replace it with a B&M invert. It pisses me off that they took down SkyRider. Not because I liked it which I thought it was jerky and uncomfortable, im mad because they aren't using their land where SkyRider was taken down, like please put something in that area.
