Great video, i liked how you showed each of the pockets and the space available. I find that most of the online photos and videos don't show enough of those.
I will get on it. currently between work and training, been procrastinating about it so I've set myself a deadline to do it by next week. its basically making a loop with the supplied attachment cord with the attachment point on the vest, then using the plastic hook to go on the threaded loop on the vest.... mmm yea ill do it as a video
I dont have the advance skin 12 so I cant comment fairly. if the advance 12 is on discount of more than 30pc off rrp then I think its a good deal as the improvements are probably minor (there's no game changing innovation here). however if not on discount, I'd just go for this model instead. the other thing you can do if you cant try in store is to order both models and return the one you dont want.
Hello! Thank you for great review! I have a couple of questions - is the main compartment with zipper waterressistant from back or the outer side? And do you have the same sizes for Sense Pro 10 and Sense Ultra 2?
yes same size vests for me. these vests are not water resistant nor do they have any weatherproof pockets. I use cling wrap for items I probably won't use but have to carry (map or jacket on a sunny day) and a reusable food seal bag for stuff I dont want to get soaked... gopro batteries
I did initially experience the same issue. Problem is with these new flasks as i had the same issue using these new flasks on a different older vest. However, after several uses it has not happened again. I think the bottom of the flasks become less stiff over time with continued use. To start, i had discomfort 15 min into a run. Last month, i used it for the uts which took me 40+ hours and had no issues with them.
yea, it has the pocket for it but I'm just not quite sure how that would work out as lack of an exit and front attachment for the drinking tube... I would personally cut a hole in the upper sleeve pocket on the left to connect it to the back pocket if I were to use a bladder, and then fashion a diy front attachment
It will hurt your ribs.... thats personal experience as well as other comments ive seen on this. however, i got used to it and been using it since for multiple ultras. I dunno if the same can be held true for everyone. A simple solution might be to get a generic compatible flask to replace... or to check with salomon if they have updated the flask problem. Also, in the UK where i am, a flask is like 10-15gbp each... so rather than replacing them, id go with getting a new salomon sense 2 vest as that goes for around 50gbp... this way the vest only costs 20-30gbp and is extremely useful for those races where not as much kit is needed.... for 30km-50km races.... if combined with a running belt, the sense 2 vest has gotten me through 100km races. i did modify my sense 2 vest backpocket which is too loose for my liking and things bounce out if you pack dense objects in it... you can use a safety pin to close that backpocket.
Yes it has. I've used it in a couple hundred mile races now and also abused it by misusing it as a hip belt for multiple days. I've also now ditched completely the bottles that came with it due to the rib pain issue. Using the bottles with the soft bottoms for extra comfort.
Nice review, man. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Happy running!
Excellent review, Thank you for all the important details! You covered everything so efficiently, better than the any other vest review.
excellent video - thanks for taking the time to make it

Great and informative review, many thanks!
Thanks for this. Great review.
Good review ... spot on. Looks a great pack; I am interested! You got my sub 👍
Great review 🙂
you can put the excess string another time towards the other side, that way its even stronger and fits perfectly.
Enjoyed the video, thanks for making this. I too would like to see how you attach your trekking poles.

added video guide for the poles
Thank you! :) 💚
I really enjoyed your video - thank you. Do you think this Vest is a replacement for the Adv Skin 12? Do you have an opinion on which vest is better?

Are the wide mouth, bullet bottom soft flasks included? Excellent review of a very good product. Your language skills are excellent.
yes they are
See you on the start line 🙂

Hello there. Thank you for the great and brief review. Do you have issue with the flask or front pockets as some people experienced bruised ribs?
I did initially experience the same issue. Problem is with these new flasks as i had the same issue using these new flasks on a different older vest. @@runningaround2090 Thank you once again.
Hi! Thanks for the review. I just got one of these and it stated that it is bladder compatible.
yea, it has the pocket for it but I'm just not quite sure how that would work out as lack of an exit and front attachment for the drinking tube... I would personally cut a hole in the upper sleeve pocket on the left to connect it to the back pocket if I were to use a bladder, and then fashion a diy front attachment
@@runningaround2090 There's included an extra chord to fix the bladder tube on the tabs
@@michaelunterhofer8010 did wonder what that extra one was for. thanks
I’ve heard the speed flask hard bottoms hurt the ribs. Any thoughts on this?

Has the durability of the vest held up for you? Seams, pockets, zippers & bungees? Thanks for the review

@@runningaround2090 Glad to hear it’s holding up! what soft flasks did you wind up with?
can you make a video for, how to mount the pole stripes in front please.
ok. Will do.
video guide for poles uploaded
I want that beanie 😌 I assume it's not easily available somewhere?
mmm.... sportshoes.com i think uk
That hanging strap looks quite annoying, can you put it somewhere?
What size do you have?
small. if unsure about sizing, best to order one size down and up, return the ones that don't fit.
@@runningaround2090 Thanks for the reply!!
@@runningaround2090 Ok. I was 85cm so ordered Small as well. I think small was 84-92 cm or something
