This is a very great series of running packs review thanks!
Those bungees are for fixing your running poles, so either at the back horizontally or on the sides vertically.
My least fav pack is the Salomon. Find the front bungee cord fixing thing very fiddly as you pointed out and when having the pack stuffed with load then it jumps up and down a lot - those small thin bungees are not doing much to keep the pack in place. My other negative opinion of this pack is the large front pockets - they are layered one onto the other, same length, not one above the other, so everything you put in end up at the bottom (the large two way pocket and the zip pocket), meaning you have to fiddle a lot trying to find your stuff in it... i prefer Decathlon's Evadict 5l or 15l pack where the pockets are one above the other, you can nicely separate what you put in each and they stay close to your body.

Superb review! Salomon has upgraded the pocket layouts from previous editions.

Those extra cords can be used to carry poles, both on the front or the back.

Hello there. Thanks for your great and brief review. Do you have issue with front water flask as some people experienced bruised ribs?

Hey I haven't had this but you might want to look at this inov-8 pack which holds the water in a different place czcams.com/video/46k0wHrk-4E/video.html or a hydration pack on the back which this pack can also do.

The extra cords are for pole management.

i have found the bottom of the flask very unfriendly to skinny runners, it hurts the ribs

Ohhh, good point! It is harder isn't it. Thanks for sharing!

Great Video!! I was wondering if the Nathan insulated hydration bottle will fit in the Salomon Vest? Thank you

If it is the Nathan Body Bottle 500ml it should fit fine, Hope that helps! Claire

can you attach the quiver to the back, I thought that was why you have the tabs to connect it?

Yes the quiver attaches to the back using the tabs

I found the sizing for sense pro can be a bit on the tight side compared to my previous Salomon packs.
Not sure whether Salomon intended the vest to be warn with a more snug fit compared to their previous vests.
They are smaller all round so don’t come down as far, consequently you have to have a bit of flexibility to reach all the pockets while still wearing the vest.
I am getting on a bit and find reaching for kit in the back bottom pouch is a bit of a challenge for me without taking the vest off. I am hoping with a bit of practice I can develop a way of accessing the pocket while running.
I found the bungee cords a great way of securing my poles, easy to stow and deploy while running.
The vest came with no instructions on what the bungee cords were for or how to fit them, so a bit of experimentation until I worked it out.
I think if you size carefully and possibly consider one or two sizes up it makes a great pack.

@@wildgingerruns brilliant. My Salomon 12 l is 3 years old and has been stitched back together lots of times. Time for a replacement
