Hi Thonny ….enjoying your videos , I fish many of the same areas …..just wondering why you’re using circle hooks ?
I understand the caution regarding gut hooking fish , but I’ve noticed a great increase in “missed hookups” while using them.
Especially for smaller fish like snappers.. not as much with the snook and trout…

Live sand perch, small pinfish and grunts, small greenbacks are all great snapper bait. The trick is to catch them, keep them alive in a bucket and get them to where the snapper are. That's too much trouble for most fishermen so they don't catch snapper.

🌴Hey what are you using Rubber hooks 😆👍🏼, I find I miss a lot more strikes with circle hooks , it’s natural instinct to wanna set the hook as soon as the fish strikes with circle hooks you end up jerking out of the fishes mouth , J hooks will set the hook that’s why you see the hook twisted to one side on a J hook this allows for penetration, well still waiting to see ya tackle some big poons , hummm, maybe at the skyway 🤔
