  • Every time a shorter travel bike rolls into Freehub Media headquarters, I can’t help but get a little bit excited. My one-bike quiver is a 170-millimeter enduro bike so, when I have an opportunity to ride a poppier machine, I’m always game. Fortunately for me, the SCOR 2030 was an easy transition back to the world of small travel. As I would find during my time aboard this bike-it’s short on travel, but has a large appetite for speed and tech.

    How do you compare this to the trail 429 that you reviewed couple months ago.

    Looks like a fun bike. How was it to get up on the back wheel for manual and bunnyhop?
    What camera are you using?

    • @SpencerAstraPOV

      It was a shorter chainstay. It was fairly easy to get the bike into a manual. It would have been easier if I would have sized down. The reach in this size was a little long for my taste. Shot with the Hero 7 and Karma gimbal!

      Yes checked the geo after I wrote and found out that it has really short chainstays. I can imagine that it feels a bit long with that size and that long reach etc.
      Super nice feel in your videos. So the stabilization comes from the gimbal and not the camera? Is that why you can use that long shutter time and still get good stabilization?

    497 mm is huge for a Large size, how tall are you?

    Ya'll have the reach wrong in the description of this video and in the article.

    Do you find the Trail 429 Enduro more capable and efficient?

    • @SpencerAstraPOV
      @SpencerAstraPOV Před 7 měsíci +6

      I think the conditions were a bit wetter with he Scor. Outside of that I'd say both bikes felt as efficient as one another climbing. The Scor had a way longer reach and therefore the 429 did feel a bit more agile.

      @@SpencerAstraPOV any other thoughts on descending differences, or were they pretty similar suspension wise?

    Every time a reviewer rides a shorter wheelbase and conservative HTA angle, they have FUN. Mtb has gone to a big balls bro culture. I admire those guys, and hate those guys. My 67 HTA on my 2013 Stumpy is plenty stable and nimble, poppy, and great at trials-oriented trail, where I live. Big LLS bikes are not what most need. This channel has good riding but licks the balls of the bike industry. Once, say a bike sucks.

      i agree, but on the other hand, all bikes are pretty good these days..

      @@Mental707 Bike prices to support all the crazy R&D is out of control. More people are racing and going to parks, but most are still rec riders riding greens and blues. I like to ride what is proven and reliable. Been burned before a few times on proprietary stuff that was the next big thing. More $, more problems.
