- Tom Brady made his much-anticipated return to Foxborough last night, and the 7-time champion got the last laugh over Bill Belichick as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped with a 19-17 win. Rainy conditions slowed down both offenses much of the night, and the New England Patriots missed a 56-yard field goal to take the lead with less than a minute to go. Hear Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe's biggest takeaways from the Battle of Foxborough.

That 6 yard run by Tom Brady was priceless. The way he looked at the camera and smiled 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Doug pederson > belichick
I couldn’t agree more Guy! That was priceless, should be in a commercial or something! That was Tom Brady @ his finest! Thank you Brady & The Bucs for holding on!
That was the pivotal play in that game winning drive.
Brady knew how important this game would be on his legacy and it was ugly but he did it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
when he did that i knew he wanted that win BADDD
My favorite part was the final game winning drive by Brady and all Pats fans watched like “Oh so this is what it feels to watch Brady take ur teams soul at the last drive 😨” LOL
It was a defensive chess match from start to finish! Run game really was the key to victory for the Bucs! Impressed by Mac Jones as well!
Mac jones 🤣
The weather was a big factor in this game. This would have been a blowout for the Bucs in a better weather condition.

@@nordicblood8470 yeah okay you’re for real talking about a guy who played in those conditions all the time. Excuses
Mac Jones gave me hope, hopefully it wasn’t because he was playing the Goat’s Bucs.. everyone seems to reach that next level against the Bucs this year
Bill hugged Tom and ran like someone caught him hugging his side chick on camera 😂. He was like “I’ll see ya at the after party 💨”

But in the end, they said Bill was in the locker room only with Brady for over 20 mins.

Bill tried to use Brady's system knowing he not throwing the ball pass 20 yards Brady is tho
Brady said: "F this sh** im going all out tonight im throwing pass 20 yards" 😂

Well I’m pretty sure Brady and Belichick are relieved the buildup to this game and the game itself is finally over with.
Yup! They both glad this game is over with.
So much build up you'd think it was the superbowl lol

It was arguably the biggest elephant in room and a media’s dream scenario
Tom with a big run, a field goal to decide the game, Bill pulling defensive schemes from before WW2. This game was amazing.
Belichick was punching the air and broke all the furniture in his office after the game. 🤣
His own fault for being stupid and attempting a 56 yard field goal in the driving rain
zero td's. i think he actually won if you ask me...
@@tonypreston7278 he thought he had Justin tucker in on the field
@@last7509 nah bro now not only does he have 7 losing seasons out of 8 as a head coach…he pushed Brady out the back door then Brady went and won a superbowl as well as Super Bowl MVP then he came back home and had a game winning 4th quarter drive to win the game. So unless the extra game on the schedule now over the next couple years ends up being the Patriots then the only chance Bill will have to beat Brady again will be in 4 years which I mean Brady might still be playing lol but either way I would imagine the next game is gonna be in Tampa Bay so that god awful weather most likely won’t happen again I mean it could it’s not like it doesn’t rain in Tampa lol but you get the point. I am glad Brady won because now he’s beat everyone but he’s also undefeated with like 3 or 4 teams lol the cowboys, the falcons and I think the redskins? But beating the Patriots and being undefeated vs them and Bill is pretty cool
@@jordancave3089 You should probably listen to the on-field postgame interview with Brady. He himself said that the relationship with Bill wasn't as it is currently portrayed in the media. Y'all want this to be a classic revenge story. Too bad it's just not like that.

Brady did enough to put his team in a position to win but didn't do anything spectacular to avoid criticism
Perfectly said
Well said sir
Well the Bucs won because of Tom Brady but I agree he did nothing spectacular but no criticism should be on anyone. I do believe credit goes to Bill and the defense for keeping that high powered offense honest.

That 3rd down run to make it 1st down in the 4th quarter on a touchdown-needed last drive was absolute CLUTCHNESS. An Eagles fan, but that was so crazy to see TB do that with all that on the line
wow, this is the most fair I've seen Shannon be with respects to anything Tom Brady.
Then you have not been watching. He hasnt been hating as much as before for a min. And he said Brady is the best.
@@samsneadd I have been watching but you surely haven't. Look at the grades he gave Brady, not the Buccs, but Brady for game 1 & 2 of this season and listen to the rationale he used for the low grade..
Hope Skip could be objective and stop hating on players.
@@MapleGlazedDonuts Actually he smiled a lot when talked about the call but then he still gave him lower marks and discounted Tom. It may not be as aggressively negative but it is still heavily biased.
When it comes to Tom winning a game Shannon tends to credit the TBB oline/defense/receivers. If pressed to talk about Brady's performance directly Shannon tends to dismiss it as He's suppose to win against The [Insert team name.]
I think Shannon is a good man and he was an extremely talented player. I admire that Shannon is, by far, the most physically fit retired NFL player.
Having said all that I think that envy is something Shannon struggles with and it is his least attractive quality. When he finally admitted that he was "tired of him (TB12) winning" He really meant it. Furthermore, I believe it rankles him that Tom has been able to continue to play at his "advanced" age. I believe it bothers him that Brady is the most dominant player and possibly the least athletic.
The other reason why I believe that Shannon struggles with envy is his behavior during the TE Roundtable. Gonzalez was chosen as the moderator and Shannon was irked by that. He clearly felt he should have been chosen so he hijacked the discussion. Unfortunately Tony has a terrible poker face so it was obvious what Shannon was doing and how Tony felt about it. Not cool. But none of us our perfect, and all we can do is try to be a bit better everyday.
@@MapleGlazedDonuts I do agree with you that once he saw the extent of how BB treated TB12, he couldn't help but be on Tom's side.
I also believe that many a truth is told in jest and also in these opposition sports shows. Shannon is a competitive dude. Most of these guys are and if their bodies hadn't of quit on them they would've played till they were 44+ years old.
It must be incredibly difficult to step away form a sport that you devoted your childhood and young adulthood to. And it would be difficult not envy a man that has done it so well. TB12 playing at an elite championship level is an outstanding achievement.
This game was classic Bill. I loved watching this game because he played against Brady the same way we used to play against Peyton Manning. Which is make the opposing teams running game beat us and take away explosive plays. Great game in the rain
by classic Bill you mean proving he's a mediocre defensive coach that is a fraud and has let the lie that he is the best ever build up for years without a word to fight against the very obvious bad takes about his ability
@@victorkreig6089 Wow I guess Bill must’ve hurt you deeply lol
@@toddymcgann5856 Probably a Bills fan getting out all their pent up rage from the last 20 years of Brady/Belichick dicking them good
It had everything that game.....and more. From the second it started & the crowd went after Brady......I thought here we go. And the GOAT put on a Superbowl winning performance he truly did. New England, & the weather gods, threw EVERYTHING at a depleted Bucs. But NOBODY wanted it more than Bill & Tom. It was a privilege to see these two Titans go the full 15 Rounds....no quarter given.
Tom Brady is the GOAT. Period. Brady > Belichick. He is 63 -76 without the GOAT.
Brady played fine, and didn't make mistakes. There were several drops, and the defense did him no favors. If that Bucs defense doesn't improve then they're going to have a looong season. I'm a Patriots fan who has watched every game of theirs this season. They haven't moved the ball that well in any other game. That hurt Bucs D has to improve.
I’ve also watched every Bucs game this season and this was by far Tom’s worst game of the year so far. I wouldn’t put the entire blame on him because you’re right there were a lot of drive killing drops by Brown and Evans and you could really feel the absence of Gronk. That being said he looked pretty damn off though like I’ve never seen him miss that many throws in games. He usually makes these plays with great dime passes. He wasn’t awful and yeah he didn’t make any mistakes but I can’t say he played fine either. We can use the weather excuse all we want but he’s played there for 20 years so he knows what he’s dealing with. I also think the Pats defense played a great game on their passing attack, of course Bellichick knows Tom better than anyone and Tom for sure had some nerves.
I didn't hear any mention of the SEVERAL overthrows he made. Brady fans make me sick.
Everybody played just fine.

Mac played great...I'm excited to see how he improves over the season. Brady's game showed why he's the goat. It's about making the least mistakes at the end of the day, not 400 yards and 5 TDs.
Easy to not make mistakes when the plays are called like that. Hes not taking any chances. And it cost them the game. Even if they make that FG brady is coming back with 50 seconds left
@@RT-qz5ci You clearly didn't watch the game, or don't understand football. They lost the game because our RBs are trash and Bill wanted our injured kicker to kick a 56 yard FG in the rain. Is Mac Jones supposed to go for it in 4th when the coach says to kick it? Have a nice day...leave me alone.

56 yards...in the wind _and_ rain...off a bad plant leg? I would've wanted to get closer on a pass play. Just because they batted it down recently doesn't mean they'll do it often.
So u woulda gone for it right?
I wouldn’t go for it on 4th, that 3rd down pass before the FG was baaaaddd
Brady's da GOAT!! I knew back when he was a Buckeye in college that he was gonna be special.
I have been watching football for 65 years saw many great players, Tom Brady is a winner because he is humble not self-righteous and it makes him a blessed man and a man with vision, God bless him their will never be another player like this ever.
Don’t agree with Skip often but he’s right. Mac Jones is very accurate and he could’ve completed a 3 yard pass for a first down if Belichek had let him.
Could've
Skip is usually right
Tom used that 'not to be denied' spirit to gain that 6 yard run for a needed 1st down. Outstanding!!!
Belichick logic:
-lets 6th round backup turned starter go for GW-drive in the Super Bowl
-won't let hand-picked 1st round QB try to get a 3 yard completion against 4th string DBs
The look on belichick's face when the winning field goal attempt hit the uprights and didn't go in lol. He wanted to win this game even more than a superbowl lol.
Yep. Patriots fan for many years, and I could tell by all the trick plays.
Belichick always saves that stuff for playoff games....and even then, he usually doesn't allow as much as I use to see.
Amazing game, it was more of a defensive one. Brady was off all night and Mac Jones held his own.
He was off because about 5 big plays was negated by either a penalty or drop balls. The wind and the rain absolutely played a big part in the outcome of this game.
He was off cause receivers were either dropping balls, o-line engaging in stupid penalties and weather didn’t help either
I went to MSU so i dont even like Brady, but he was on point bruh. AB had some big drops. He dropped a sure TD pass that would have put the nail in the coffin. Thats not on TB. He’s supposed to make those catches
McCorkle was going against 3 backups in the secondary and still lost.

4. Tampa Bay D coming to form even with 4 injured DBs (which is a tough break)
5. Tom simply knows how not to lose games and that is simply a special trait.

Undisputed > First Take
I was pretty surprised at first to hear Brady get booed upon his entrance to the game, but I guess that’s Boston fans for ya.
The amazing thing about this game is that you have 20 years of watching someone everyday in practice and in games to plan a scheme around attacking him. Belichick has done this to other teams in the past with way less data. For Brady, it was having to play around his weaknesses that Belichick knows all too well and not getting beat by them.
I thought the Pats did great to even get that close to winning. I thought for sure the Bucs were going to win by 2 or 3 TD's..
Play Tampa at their home turf or even in Gillete stadium for that matter, Bucs will probably beat the Patriots by 2 TDs.
Biggest thing is the Bucs look lost in the redzone without Gronk. They ended up kicking 5 field goals making 4 of them when they're normally scoring TD's in those situations.
Wow.. Shannon is praising Brady! A lot!
The game easily could have went in favor of the Patriots. The key play was that battes pass by White to force the 4th and 3. I probably would have went for it if I was Bill in that situation. Then the heartbreak when the kicker missed the field. Its a game of inches.
Belichick should’ve went for it on 4th & 3
if he had brady he would have haha
thats a desperate decision...
That was the correct call
it was a fun game to watch , people gotta understand every team wanna beat the bucs its like their closest thing to a superbowel win and its every given sunday
The referees favored patriots the entire game especially on that last drive in 4 th quarter. Refs kept the game closer then it should of been and so did the wheather. Those refs should be under reveiew for getting paid to make this a closer game and if folk makes that kick the refs would of win them that game. The league should start an investigation or put those refs on a watch list
Why? Ratings were better with a close game. The League won't have any problem with that.
Why would they investigate when they tell the referees how to call the game. NFL games have been manipulated since Super Bowl lll. The league classifies itself as entertainment, not a sport, so it can manipulate the outcome of games and not get sued. It's a multi-billion dollar entertainment business.
