Maybe he's still learning how to play with the deck. I'm a new player learning how to play with Galaxy Eyes, but I still think he didn't have to summon numeron. He really fucked up there when he could have won the game in that turn.

Too greedy? Dude HARD SUMMONED OG GALAXY-EYES, while having all combo pieces and extenders in hand. He clearly didn't know what he was doing and just clicked buttons.

Most people think that if you play some meta shit with 20 hand traps you will win every match but you actually need skill and knowledge to make good plays and take good decisions, i have played a photon dragon deck and i can tell you that guy fucked up a lot of things, specialy wasting a lot of effects on the dark magicians when eternal soul protected them

As someone who religiously uses galaxy-eyes it absolutely PAINS me to see someone use them wrong. My guy had an amazing start, could have OTK'd but instead went for numeron. Big disappointment
I feel you there I only use galaxy eyes and no other deck. This was incredibly painful yo watch he could have won the duel but decided to show off instead. Galaxy eyes, when you get the chance you have to end the duel right there. It’s not typically a good deck for dragging the game out it’s a fast deck
To be fair, he may also be starting out and getting used to the deck. Even now I still sometimes make a small blunder, as we all do but this guy basically gave up the duel
I use a Galaxy Eyes deck and I don't even have Numeron. Literally why pull that when Prime Dragon would have nuked your opponent almost turn 1? Weirdest shit.
I also absolutely suck and added extra cards I wanted so I brick a bit more but hey, that's the tub when you just really wanna add your favorite card to a deck lmao.

Lol long story short Galaxy player was a total idiot, and lost cause didn't read his cards.
As a Galaxy-Eyes player, there were some misplays there. As a Dark Magician player, that was a good comeback.
Playing DM is basically asking your opponent "Do you know what eternal soul does?" and if they say yes, you lose.

Seems like a lot of people in these comments are confusing a lack of knowledge for arrogance. The person summoned in the wrong order and because of that couldn't attack. Cipher Blade prevents you from attacking with any card other than itself for the rest of the turn. Since they turned it into Full Armor, they couldn't attack. I will agree that it may have been greed/arrogance to go for Numeron though. I know others have already said it, but going into Prime Photon would have been game on a few different occasions.

Just the Galaxy eyes cipher dragon. Galaxy Eyes cipher blade dragon has different effect which by detching one material, you can target 1 card on the field and destroy it. Another effect of the Cipher blade is once it is destroyed by battle or opponent card effect, you can special summon Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon in the GY. Just correcting no argument intended. It is clearly the mistake of the order of summoning.

Happened to me but i got a raigeki instead, literally just started playing and i built some stupid deck with random ass cards in like 5 mins, hop onto ranked just to see how a ranked match feels like, dude summoned half of his deck on first turn, next phase i draw, raigeki, bang, he fully folded out and surrendered. Love this game already.
See you in platinum where all you see is Eldlich and Raigeki is pretty much a non factor.
@@ether2275 Eldlich is literally the dumbest thing ever, I use Monarchs and literally anything I do doesn't matter against it. I hit gold 4 last night and faced 3 Eldlich decks in a row. I lost against all 3 and 2 of them lasted basically an hour when I knew I was gonna lose from the start LOL

@URBALLZRHEEK My problem with Eldlich is that no matter how many times I take out the boss monster he just comes back and gets another one on the field. I feel like if you can't banish him you are screwed and unfortunately my Monarch deck doesn't have any cards that banishes my opponent's cards. Then there's the OP spells and traps that negate literally every move I make.
@@zeldalevelmaker9912 you can definitely beat him without banishing him, granted depending on your deck it might take a bit of time but its definitely doable, the deck i'm currently using revolves around quasar dragon and beelze, my fav card btw cause the amount of people that don't know how to deal with him is great, cause beelze can't be destroyed and even if the monster is stronger he gains the damage as atk, provided theres no skill drain or effect negation or atleast ways to counter it, its pretty easy to beat it, although my last duel with it we were at a standstill for ages, had him down to 200, with quasar and shooting star gone and basically all other monsters i had to rely on beelze and scrap iron scarecrow, i knew his face down would negate beelze and destroy it so i just had to slowly kill one stop the other until i eventually got a level 3 tuner to summon junk destroyer/berserker, can't remember which one, so satisfying finishing the duel with summoning it and dealing exactly 200 damage to him, the deck i run is pretty reliable aswel, 9/10 i can summon quasar and possibly beelze on my first turn :)
As a member of the Galaxy Eyes players community, I can pretty confidently say that we don't, can't and won't recognize the player that was shown using our beloved archetype as our own. We thus pass them to the Blue Eyes players

The sheer level of Galaxy-Eyes hold back is a testament that Dark Magician cannot win without help from the opponent.

While this was super entertaining, if you just waited on the galaxy-eyes player to go nuts with his resources and wait until battle phase to proc dark burning magic, you had that duel won from that point on :D
Nice comeback! I had a similar duel with a galxay deck. He made the same moves and as you I was totally screwed with my brick eyes deck and I applied an skill drain trap, got three blue eyes in the field and boom. Dead. Nice again!
I actually fought someone who used blue-eyes with skill drain on my galaxy eyes deck. But it didnt end well for them. I was able to summon prime photon using galaxy eyes and galaxy eyes afterglow. And although prime's effect was negated I could still activate it.
Eternal soul is great because it makes the "with no monster on the field i summon dark magician " possible

My first prismatic card was a dark magician girl so have that one in my DM deck and its glorious to win

@@yogianugraha There's a small chance that a card you craft will be a holo or prismatic when it finishes. I'd honestly rather it stay that way though to preserve the significance of getting one. When I was opening some packs, I actually managed to pull a prismatic Selene. I'm probably not gonna use it any time soon but it's still cool to have and I'm yet to see somebody else that also has one.

I knew it wasn't going to end well the moment the opponent didn't summon Cyber Infinity
Instead of Ebon Illusion Magician, I run Diablosis the Mind Hacker. It helps mill out his extra deck with the plus of actually SEEING what his extra deck is, and also banishes your opponents graveyard AND normal deck. I used him against an eldlich deck, Banished two of his boss monsters, banished any fusion monsters he might have been able to bring out with the third, and then proceded to just win by deck out since I couldn't overpower his final boss monster.
If you're wondering, the cards are banished face down, so no banishment effects either.

Lmao man, i just started of playing some days ago and the accuracy of this video had me dying. Especially when you start to sweat but they dont hit you with the finisher and boom i get heart of the cards and end mans whole career.
The best comeback I ever saw from a DM player. So satisfying to see the newer and more complex decks to be punished by such simple and less time consuming moves.
DM deck plays more new cards than Galaxy-Eyes tho.

Been a DM player ever since I was 11 playing a really bad Dark Paladin deck in 2003. You get used to getting your ass kicked, but when you get that W boy does it feel good.
Fucking hell on those Magicians' Souls prices, though. Illusion of Chaos seeming to follow suit doesn't make me much happier. :(

The fact that you have an OG card in your deck and you still want to bring it on the field and not just use as a material for something is the reason that i would have let you win as well even if you were in platinum.
I am LITERALLY sick of seeing Drytrons, Timelords, Eldridge and virtual world decks all the time.

That's the trade-off with Eternal Soul: a single MST can basically wipe your entire board. Still, mad respect on that comeback.

The opponent brags the special summoning and went too far to the certain point it misplayed. The first thing why the opponent Link summon a weaker galaxy eyes in exchange of 1 powerful Galaxy eyes monster and another monster.

I wish I knew what was going on, but that was one heck of a comeback. I downloaded Yu-Gi-Oh: MD the other day, and I don't know what kind of deck to run because it's been almost 10+ years since I've touched a Yu-Gi-Oh deck.
Just start with deck you comfortable with, and add some modern staples like I do.
I'm used to Duel Monsters rules and cards so I didn't understand absolutely nothing in this video, but I enjoy it anyway

Actually, he used Cipher Dragon's effect that prevented him from attacking directly, but he didn't need to do that as he can just blow up Eternal Soul regardless.
@@darkglass3011 yep he forgot about Eternal Soul and misplayed twice because of it which cost him the game. Then again he could've just done the afterglow combo and won. So who knows maybe he was goofing off.

I don't know much about the game mechanics, but I do like that they have the animations for the cards. I assume they only animate level 7 or higher star monsters? Do any trap or magic spells get animations? Cool to see a Dark Magician deck. I like dragons, but I like DM and DMG just as much.
A lot of classic non monster cards have animation like Monster Reborn, Raigeki and Black Hole
