It’s very simple for me, it’s because one day I noticed that you are MUCH further away than you think you are from being able to play hero and rescue your teammates from an enemy ambush. You don’t have to be an amazingly talented player who can 1v3 any squad by yourself as an Octane Main, you just have to be good enough to show up out of nowhere and prevent your teammates from getting knocked during that 3-5 second window his stim & jump give you to land out of the sky into a fight at full health and sweep an already damaged enemy team’s rug of confidence out from under them.
