So it's definitely more even now. If the wingman was still a heavy pistol it would be straight even
5 to 6 as far as ground loot guns go. With one each either in the carepackage or crafter.
It was done to even out the loot. And also because the Light ammo weapons didn't have an LMG. Now there's one LMG per ammo type. (Obviously excluding sniper or shotgun types)
Nothing about the spitfire is different except the fact it uses a different color ammo box
@@tphil5901 In terms of guns per ammo type it might be even, but looking at the guns with each type it is obvious that light ammo is used more often.
R301 is still an absolute beast, same for the scout, CAR can use both (so no need to run heavy with it), Hemlok and Prowler are burst fire, so more of a niche choice, Repeater and Flatline are fine, but why use them when R301 and Scout are available. R99 has dropped of in this sniper meta and Alternater is still more of an early game pick until you get something better.
But hey, I'm just happy that the Volt is on the ground and Havok is still shredding.

12:19 Correction: ALL shotguns have a tighter spread when you ads EXCEPT the Eva 8. Before the choke was integrated into the Peacekeeper, adsing would tighten the spread, but now that itâs integrated into the weapon, the only time the PK spread wonât tighten when you ads, is if you have the choke disabled. The Mozam and more importantly the Mastiff BOTH have a tighter spread when you ads.
drives me crazy when people hipfire with the mastiffy
@@Mortario Well when you can hit the shot you're going to want to get all that spread in a single hit, don't really think there's anyone trying to risk having to double-tap really. And it doesn't take regular ammo so you cant just waste it either.

11:00 in season 1 and 2, Heavy Ammo Types Slowed More than Light, Energy didn't slow at all and had faster Bullet Velocity. This was to make the guns more different in their respective categories, but when they did the re-work of just about everything in season 3, it changed.
For the legend speed thing, I've heard this one thing that said, "Wraith is like a 30mph go cart while gibby is like a 30mph 18 wheeler"
I think what you mean is they have different acceleration. So it takes Gibby longer to get to top speed versus Wraith or Octane. That why Wraith is shiftier that's my theory. It would be cool to test it.

@@johnnyhonda5889 Its not true, its all perceptual. The movement mechanics are identical. I still completely outpace teammates while I play gibby(bc my movement is better, not bc he's faster ofc)
@@johnnyhonda5889 I think what he means is going 30 on a Go Kart feels way faster than going 30 in an 18 wheeler. Itâs the same speed, just feels different.
@@notepicgamer4996 he can just not well. Heâs the only legend however you can engage the climb animation and then wall jump. Heâs also the only one that can âwall runâ because of this.
What i learned:
Gibby is even more OP than i thought
Fortified is even more OP than i thought (on average, using no abilities, considering all gameplay, fortified legends are faster than all other legends, due to their lack of bullet slow)
bullets still slow him idgaf what the game says when youre sniped and get cracked or shotgunned mozanbique it staggers you so they ninja nerfed it and apex can fuck off and go to hell for it
But have much larger hit boxes
Fun fact that I would add : you can rebound Maggieâs ultimate by sending Mirageâs decoys towards it, it also work with his ultimate which will just deflect the ball

They should totally make it that Ash's arc snare can be charged. Making it fly faster would come at a cost. In that case you need to keep the button pressed, with means more things to keep in mind and it would mean you have to wait longer before you can throw it. Sounds fair to me.

i wonder if maybe they didnt wanna buff or nerf her, but wanted to offer more variation in the use of it-
they could make it fly slower but hit harder when charged, or maybe even snare for slightly longer-
but when u throw it without a charge it would go slightly faster and behave normally on snare.
This way you wouldnt ALWAYS want it charged- sometimes youd rather it be a bit faster, and sometimes u really would value locking them in place for a second longer or doing a little more damage.

Bunnyhop healing is still technically possible btw, just severely nerfed from it's previous power. You have to actually air strafe between jumps to make it work, and you do not go AS fast as normally slide bunny hopping, but both bunny hopping (standing up) and slide hopping while popping a heal does in fact work, and is actually faster than just walking while healing, though it does take quite a lot of practice and precision to implement effectively.
5:17 back when octane double jump was new, any abilities thrown onto the pad would actually bounce an extra three or four times in the air. This has been patched for a while now, but it was pretty funny while it lasted.
Correction to the 2nd one at 0:45, you can still cancel falling velocity by punching a wall or something of similar geometry, as punch boosting was only removed for things below you (I don't know how it was removed but IK it still works for things like walls and a decent handful of other map geometry) and hence you still gain momentum from punching walls...
Try crouching before you punch and you still get a small boost (not as strong as it was) off of most inclines as well similarly to how it was done before, water no longer has collision though so it no longer works there

I remember being told (at the beginning of the game at least) when tracking footsteps as Bloodhound, the ravens would show up at about the end of the trail. So they were referred to as an "omen" of sorts, that enemies could be nearby.
I heard that Ravens only appear when the whole squad passed the same way, and just tracks mean they are alone
The mastiff also has a tighter spread by default while ads-ing, as the mozam
I've noticed the ravens are to signal a squad out side the passives 80 second range by around 10-15 seconds. Just my own personal observation on that
@5:35 Yes you keep the aimdown sight recoil for a few bullets; you can tell by the spreading of the crosshairs once you fire after ads.
For the ground punching to stop fall impact this used to work but it still works on walls (if you punch a wall before you land)

The second one where you kick the ground to keep momentum: I believe now you have to kick the side of something else to keep momentum rather than the ground itself. This could be anything from a ledge to a vehicle to a building, anything with a side really

If you're in phase you can see any enemies around you that aren't in phase. It's how I know whether or not they see where I'm running, if there's another team, if it's my team running past me, etc.
The fall from a Hight can be cancelled by using a caustic canister before you land. You slide off them instead of doing the land animation

I remember that Horizonâs default finisher was the fastest finisher in the whole game, they had to make it slightly longer by extending it.
I'm glad that I only got a few of these wrong. I was not aware that you climbed higher with weapons holstered. I kind of wish light ammo didn't slow, and heavy did, but oh well. I am hoping that a good amount of these aren't still legitimately believed to be true, so many of these that have changed to no longer work have been that way for a long while.
From my testing, jump pad does not actually extend the range of throwables - just sorta changes the trajectory to what its max range is
The snare animation does matter. The longer you hold it until it turns blue then it activates instantly if not it takes some time
i discovered that blowing open explosive holds doesn't do damage a long time ago, but idk i still kinda like backing away, makes me feel like i'm in a heist movie.

As a NewCastle can you force a downed teammate into a wraith/Ash portal while reviving them ? Would it teleport only you, the downed team mate, or the both of you at the same time ?

After you couldn't kick the ground, I discovered a little exploit where you can kick the side of a building to negate the stun entirely, I never saw this mentioned anywhere, but either way, it was eventually patched.
I learned early on that Mirage decoys redirected enemy melees, and went on to win several clutch fistfights with Mirage. Great times. Glad it still works. BTW, I also used to extend my jump distances by 15-20% by turning the camera mid-air.
bloodhounds ravens mean that the team you are following are either split up or dead and its just a solo on their own but if there aren't any ravens then they are together. kind of niche but good info to have in some situations. this is also every 7-10 movement points seen on the ground from a singled player.
revenant i believe is the only legend that has a further climbing range then any other legend

The reduced damage also works on ring damage.
It used to be the same for low profile, which was infuriating.

OH! I'm an octane main and always stim and bunny hop to heal. Everyone was saying you can't bunny hop while healing anymore and I was so confused.
Way back when fortunes favor dropped in season 5, which was when mobile respawn beacons were added I got a full inventory of mobile respawn beacons

In my experience, I've always gotten a golden item from the docks middle bin. Also, the bins between mill always have a purple shield from my experience. Try it out!
Not true as far as them always having purple at mill, maybe they have for you but they will have at least a blue. There are bins in the caves south east of mill that will always have an armour upgrade too. (If barometer is the south side of the map)

Punching/Kicking a wall right before you land reduces fall stun. Faide is the one that talked about it and I also just did it in the firing range.
For number 2 the fall penalty, you can punch boost off a wall to kill the penalty , itâs not very consistent but it works
So gibby basically can hold gun shield to stop bubble getting destroyed by Maggie ult?
ive had 2 care packages land in the exact same spot in the same game inside of hammond on olympus
Care packages can destroy Pathfinder ult if they drop right on the edge of it and "break" the metal thing that holds the rope

I still do the kick the ground to cance landing lag thing everytime to this day. though if you melee a wall before you land, I think it does cancel landing lag.
Nope. Any melee attempts to reduce or remove fall stun have zero effect and will end up slowing you more because youâll mistime the melee and have to wait for that animation and the fall stun. That said, if thereâs a wall close enough to touch and activate the climb animation, however briefly, that will negate any and all fall stun
I have basically always known explosive holds do not damage you if you stand in front of the explosionâŠ. I still hide on the corner of the hold every single time. Why? It feels cool to do lol.

Your hitbox is also on your legend when you're doing finishers too. So some vanilla finishers are actually better than epic ones, for example loba. Basically if you move a lot during your finishers, it's more difficult to get hit and get cancelled

I think Bloodhoundâs crows are like Cryptoâs droneâs ability to see if squads are in the area. If the crows stay around for a bit when you spot them, the squad is still around. And if not, then theyâve since left the area. It would take a lot of testing to confirm though.
The bloodhound crows mean the trails you are following is another bloodhound. So be careful when you see those because you're just as well gonna get scanned. I'm a bloodhound main I know.

Id like to mention that B Hop healing is still possible, where you can keep moving slightly faster than a normal crouching walk with a heal-
but you need to perfectly air strafe each b hop to not lose the speed-
you also can't gain speed easily, you would need more air time to strafe, and it also is NO WHERE NEAR as fast as it used to be in Season 0-1

The one about ads-hip spread i disagree. I still utilize that technique today. However i only noticed it after the hipfire nerf to assault rifles. I think it only works with recoil smoothing. I could be wrong, but idk i intentionally do it in the firing range while warming up.
