    After all these years, I can look back at this incident for these reasons;
    - I Blame McMahon for creating this incident.
    - I Blame Michaels for allowing this to happen.
    - I Blame Hart for causing this situation.
    - I Blame the Fans for carrying this through 1997.
The Death of the Gimmick Era, and the Birth of the Attitude Era.

I don't completely agree. But 1st, some common ground: McMahon was over his head by attempting to negotiate alone. He notoriously had to make it appear as the show was his game, his ball, his rules at this point in time. And I bebelieve he tried to lean on his relationship to the talent in times when it should have been professional.
But Michaels & Hart were both working for less bean than the WCW talent was, and working harder. They had to look out for their best interests. Putting either over, at that critical point in time, could damage their bargaining ability. Plus, they've (the talent) have always done shit like this. It's the company's job to lawyer up and handle it,
The fans? How can you blame them? By spending their $ and consuming the product? Without which, we all would have had a much less palatable option. The Fandom and their $ created Nitro vs RAW competition. The WCW would never have started if the fans at the time (you and I as it seems) weren't as rabid as we were.
Discuss, if you wish. No hate meant on my end.

A wrestler who wouldn’t drop the belt on promoters terms.
    It’s a show anyway regardless.
He tried to outplay Vince and Vince makes the rules.
    Vince took the belt.
He’s cried about it for 30 years.
He really thought he won it fair and square 😆

Bret entire career was spent blaming other people for his shitty decisions. He was an absolute master in the ring but all of yhe bad that befell him was 100% his own choice. He chose not to do business the right way when he refused to do his job because he was in Canada. If American wrestlers refused to lose to him on American soil nobody would have ever heard of him. He made a shitty, egotistical decision that led to the downfall and eventual end of his career. I'm not saying the screw job was right but Bret screwed Bret was a VERY real thing.

Thats false. Its well known in 1997 WWE had originally tried to put HBK and Bret Hart back into the ring and HBK didnt want to put Bret over for the company. Wrestlemania 13 was to have the rematch where Bret would beat him. HBK found out and gave up the title 2 weeks after beating Psycho Sid at the Royal Rumble. Bret would win the final four and face HBK which didnt happen. HBK said he would need knee surgery which no one could find proof of as WWE made those HBK tribute videos and tried to act like he might not survive it. This angered Bret clearly. HBK had many enemies in the lockeroom. And many have said HBK faked a knee injury to give up a title which he was known for doing. Then WWE turned Bret heel. HBK clearly ran into the ring many times and attacked the hart foundation with no limping or any issues.
Then HBK started false stories about Bret Hart having a affair with Sunny. Both denied this as Sunny was really with HBK. This caused problems between Bret and his wife.
HBK also sabotaged the match with him and Davey Boy Smith at the UK pay per view by making sure he would be Smith. WWE breaks the contract of Bret Hart claiming money problems yet didnt release anyone else. Bret worked from Sept-Nov without pay. WWE talked Bret into going to work for WCW which Bret turned down a year prior despite they would have paid him more. Bret wanted to stay but WWE wouldnt keep him. Then HBK who sat out most of 1997 all of a sudden gets to beat Bret Hart after all the BS he did. HBK lied to Brets face and said he didnt have to do with it. And after what they did I dont blame Bret. And add on that Vince didnt pay Stu Hart for when he baught stampede wrestling years prior. And he also made Owen Hart stay in WWE and threatened to sue Owen if he went to WCW with Bret Davey and Jim. And Vince did sue Jim and Davey after they left.
And your ignoring that WWE lied to Bret about the finish of the match with HBK. Let alone Bret offered to drop the WWE title in the US 2 weeks after Survivor Series.
Bret didnt blame everyone. He gets blamed for calling out messed up stuff and salty wrestling fans cant handle it. Yet anyone else does all of a sudden thats fine. See the biased?

@AFanOfCZcams-eh2cn all Bret had to do was drop the title on Canada. He had no right to refuse to do so. Imagine if American wrestlers refused to put him over on American soil. Nobody would even know his name. That Canadian bullshit made him do business the wrong way, and he got what he deserved in Montreal as a result.

There is only one God, and it is the God who created the Heavens and the Earth and everything in them. I'm not trying to be rude by saying this. I was hesitant to believe at first, but I legitimately encountered this God when I was searching for the Truth. As the Scripture says "When you seek Me, you will find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart." If you truly just care about the truth, regardless of the fluff and religion, I recommend you read the Old and New Testament. They tell a cohesive story from beginning to end of the fall of Mankind, and God's ultimate plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. May God bless you, my brother ❤

I don’t think so, brother. If it was a work, Brett would have been happy and so much more successful in WCW. I always held resentment with Vince but I understood it had to be done. Brett should have just dropped it to Shawn. Brett never wanted to leave WWF so doing that, he would have guaranteed his stay way much longer and would have gotten way more money, not the 9 mil but more than he was getting at the time but ego and pride do things to a man.
