Who was most at fault in the Montreal Screwjob? Let us know in the comments below!

  • @darrelsapp1232

Cornette never tried to take credit for how the screwjob went down. He only said he gave Vince the idea of pulling the double cross. But Cornette has also said that he never actually thought Vince would do it and was just as shocked as anybody else when Vince did do it.

I beleive Jim Cornette's side of the story. He was very detailed and specific about all the events. Keep in mind, he bolted as soon as he saw the finish. He left before Hebner, which was a detail that I always found amusing. But at the end of the day, Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels were the people who actually did it.

Anyone who has watched Dark Side of the Ring knows that Bruce Prichard has never tried to take credit for Montreal. He has always said he was in the dark about it.

  • @QCS_AdamCole

Bret vs Perfect & vs Owen were some of the best matches I ever had the privilege of watching. They were perfection!

  • @chmacias9808

Bruce Prichard has said he didn't know what happened till British Bulldog came to him at the gorilla position

  • @DannyGautama

I met Bret back in 99 at a Toronto Molson Indy. I just started lifting and I was afraid when he came close to me because of how huge he was. But he was the NICEST wrestler I ever met. I asked him, how he got big, He said do compound lifts and eat Canadian beef. We both laughed.😂

Interviewer: can I ask you about AEW

  • @goirish25

Bruce Prichard has never taken any claim for the screw job. He actually said he was pissed cause Vince didn’t tell him. But Vince didn’t want him to know.

  • @Hambino80

I mean Cornette didn’t take credit for making it happen he said he mentioned to Vince a scenario where it would work and according to him Vince brushed it off then did a version of what he said

  • @Provos7777

Bret is one of the most unintentionally funny people I’ve ever listened to. I would love to ask Bret if he remembers when he & Anvil got into a fight with some fans who were spitting on them at the Lowell Auditorium in Lowell, Mass back in the 80’s.

"When I said, doble cross and gest about the Shamrock thing. Russo's eyes got more buggier than normal. He didnt know what a double cross was" - Jim Cornette

  • @CrimsonEagle90

My favorite singles superstar and the best of all time in my eyes. Bret Hart said it best. “The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.” He poured his entire soul into the business and loved the fans. I love his work and everything he stands does even his 97 heel work.

  • @ben6993

Where can we watch the full interview?

  • @user-uy3yn7dv3v

Cornys story was that he had nothing to do with the planning of the screwjob....his story was he was in a meeting with Vince and Russo and they were discussing ways they could convince Bret to drop the belt and cornette blew up and said basically "for fuck sake just screw him out of it" in the moment. But the detailed planning that was all Vince, Michael's, HHH. Even to be fair to Pritchard he's admitted he had nothing to do with it

Cornette's story isn't about how much say he had in it, from what I remember. I thought it was getting the idea in McMahon's head about how to do a double cross.

  • @markant9534

Bruce Pritchard stated on the something to wrestle podcast that he knew nothing about the screwjob, he wasn`t tryng to take credit for it at all.
