It takes a certain type of person to be able to watch Nick rave and rant about Porsches and options for 30 min. I love watching the videos where he builds cars and judge every option on the configurator.
I wish he would build and give his opinion on options on other cars besides Porsche. It is very helpful when purchasing a new car.
DaveA441 Like wise
Well, I'm the type of guy that will listen because I have owned two Panameras and am contemplating buying a third...
DaveA441
Nick may be a bit quirky but he does not BS like most You Tubers trying to convince them selfs and over sell there review.
that is why we are all here :)
”It’s a wonderful package!” I bet that’s not the first time you’ve said that Nick..?
Damm you Nick, people are trying to work here. Don’t think I can have a 30 min toilet break.
lol
Where's the 22" alcantara coated wheels option, Porsche?
Well...
I have to admit, I can’t wait for Mr. Murray to look at the Porsche Taycan 💪
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Hear, hear...
I was literally just thinking the same thing. I noticed some other channel doing a review but that guy and me aren't long time good friends like Me and Nick are. I'll just wait.
You are German and you are waiting from an overseas opinion ?? where are u living ?
Acarsfault
Well...
What does my current place of residency got to do with ...anything ..?🤔
Erhardt simply watch Tesla review and you’ll see same thing! However Tesla is more honest since they don’t put TURBO on the rear of the car.
A solid 11 out of 10 for Nick’s horrendously looking glasses..
CSL 74 don’t hate me because I’m beautiful
Nick Murray cheers mate
I’m glad you came around and were willing to reconsider. I think the GTS is such a great deal. Nicely done!
Goddamnit we’ve missed your videos, sir
Nice review - love the instant selection from 8th gear to 4th when you accelerate
Ahhhh!! Our Panamera videos dropped a few days apart!! 😆 I bow down to your awesomeness Nick. Your vids are so good. 🙌
My Panamera 4 hybrid is being built currently and will be delivered the first week of January. Total cost $167,000. Porsche executive canceled my Bose stereo system because of chip issues and did not give me the opportunity to upgrade to the Burmeister system. Seems crazy that a $167,000 luxury sedan will have a 150 watt stereo system,
Excellent review. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great video. My local dealer was telling me about the 10 years edition and the GTS models only yesterday.
I see Nick & Albert I stay awake a little longer good evening from Thailand
First!
In the past I have looked with confusion on the list of available interior options, so I enjoyed your explanation of the options with video.
Nick, would be nice to see you do a review of the Porsche Cayenne in the S or Turbo or the current trend in GTS models. Thanks for taking the time to go thru the options. Really hats of to all you do!
Very nice car love the monochromatic look. Thanks Nick
First it was praise for the Macan GTS, then hype over the Cayman/Boxster GTS, and now this video talking up the Panamera GTS. Is some GTS owner holding Tui hostage for random Nick?
FuelAaron he might be trying to get a gt3 or something and is in hot water with Porsche.
180k is insane
That is a LOT of options. I have occasioned to hit the Porsche website and configure vehicles just to marvel at the options available and the insane prices of said options. Covering things in leather seems to be the most crazy. Air vent louvers can be covered in leather; can't remember what the cost was but it was far more than one might consider. Then again, as Nick stated and as my Porsche salesman also stated, "These cars aren't for everyone".
I've driven it hard on the track, its almost as crisp as a 911. It really shrinks around you and you can place it on the corners very precisely.
Nice Nick. I like the Albert touches! See you in NZ soon buddy
Great review, what an amazing spec car 👍👍👍
Worth watching just for Nick's sensual handling of the steering wheel!
Heading to the beach Neck - got me excited. But alas - no budgies were getting smuggled today.
I've always hated the lack of bench seating in those but once you sit in those rear buckets you'll love them.
I've just taken delivery of my optioned-up Panamera GTS 2019. While this car may not be for everybody, I'm more than impressed with the whole package, and there's absolutely no buyer's remorse!!!
those sunglasses, sure I also seen them on Ron Jeremy :P
My life coach
I met him two years ago, he looked like death, like he was going to keel over at any minute, I felt sorry for him.
Nick Murray love those. Do you mind asking what make they are ? 👍
My 911 C4S, i added 54k in options last year. You saw it Nick. I am the type of person where if i do not get every option when building a car, i grow to hate my car. Maybe it’s being selfish, hungry.. whatever it may be. I also do ALOT of miles, 20k a year.
I like this new Panamera a lot, unlike Sport Turismo or the old model. And that rear wing is awesome!
it would be interesting to see you compare this to the RS7, BMW M8 GC, AMG GT 63s 3door
This competes with the M850i, not the M8.
Come to Croatia this summer Nick!
It needs 2 fewer doors and a shortened wheelbase....and maybe a 928+ badge
On the silly wing it would be cool to have a sticker on the part that's exposed only once the wing is active for a good chuckle.
My grandma told me to tell you she wants her sunglasses back.
Hey Nick nice review, but it's quite obvious to me that Connecticut State Troopers love you. Just saying!😅🤣
Beautiful car thanks!
Thank you for sharing 👍
This one is loaded has a lots of really nice options, i'd ditch the brakes (nice but really overkill), alcantara seats, definitely skip the carbon wheel then I'd just add tinted noise and heat isolated glass and it's pretty much perfect.
Those seats look amazing!
They've got "heat seating" ;-)
I have never been a Superfan, but I may be reaching that level with Nick Murray. Or I may be losing my mind.
It will be on the CarMax lot for $45k in a few years.
Hey Nick, the base 2020 Carreras (non s) are now available can you do a review on one please?
Also adding a draggy for 0 to 60 times and possibly quarter mile times would be awesome.
Great review by the way.
The 4 e hybrid is definitely the way to go other than the turbo models. The hybrid power terrain eliminate the 400 pound penalty against the gts getting 3.6 sec to 60. Apply all the options to the e hybrid and get it for the same cost.
Next video... I'm trading my Macan S for a new Panamera Gts.... Great review Nick! Personally I've always been a fan of most GTS models! This is a beautiful example!
hey Albert^^ thank god the "GST" community is pretty small compared to the GTS one
Like this spec
Why is Albert worried about making friends in the "GST" community (at the 01:00 videomark)?
intro music is just epic
Great review. But "heat seating" instead of "Seat heating" 23 mins in is pretty funny - heard this a few times on this channel . So many people slip up and say this when talking about their cars, including me on occasion! ;-)
If I buy two whole cars with that $50k, can I combine the acceleration and braking numbers?
Have you taken your fixed wing check ride? Need more flying videos !
Any plans to make a video on optioning the Taycan? I'd love to hear your take on what is and isn't worth it.
@1:37 What's was that for green line screen?
Waiting on my allocation for the new redesigned model . 🤞🏼
Nick do a every option reviewed on the 911 cs or gts
Could you test a 4S with PASM PDCC vs the GTS?
Grandpa's back!
You also get the alcentara headliner
Love it
This is just perfect! I can now make a backdoor turbo for less cash? What's not to love! I did mine @ the website and it totaled up to a reasonable price versus the actual turbo model! I get the V8 and all wheel drive? What's not to like! Far more attractive than the S class sedan let alone the 7 series. Audi 8 series? Naw...
Good video 👍👍👍
Even with air suspension on my two Panameras, I've scraped pavement numerous times; that's the only reason why I insist on air suspension -- ground clearance. I can't imagine owning a Panamera without it because I'd be scraping bottom probably weekly. I have my diamond key set to raise the suspension for driveway dips and speed bumps.
I don’t know if it’s just me but that steering wheel looks absolutely awful. Having said that a V8 Panamera Sport Turismo is a beautiful thing in my opinion (without black wheels)
My thoughts exactly - the ST w/silver rims and exhaust cannons nicely configure would be exceptional.
Agree entirely. Much prefer to have full leather steering wheel, than a mixture of leather and hard slippy plastic. I do understand the gear-lever upgrade. As these are controls that you touch every time, often several times you use the car, having a nice gear lever and door handles makes a huge difference (to me!). I don’t like the 992 shaver for a gear lever, nor the fabric door controls on the T and GT models. I know the little piece of aluminium that I pull in my 991.2 will weigh a couple of grammes more...but the tactile nature of the solid handle is such a nice feeling.
I want to see the electric 4 door Porsche that they have now.....seen one in Hartford and I couldn't take my eyes off of it
Speedo reads 71mph, speed limit 55mph, according to the car, Nick obviously road testing down in Mexico again :) Great to see a longer video from Mr Murry again.
Why only the one ape? what has happened to the other one?
Cool to see how much one can upgrade the interior if money is no option
Does the lower weight of the carbon ceramic brakes give a noticeably better ride quality? (because of lower unsprung weight)
Nick
Will you be reviewing the Taycan Turbo S?
Nick I just found the car on their website. $179k but damn what a car. Oh btw, I saw the guy's comment down below about your sunglasses & unfortunately I agree with him. You need a pair of Ray-Ban Thriftmasters, black & chrome or a pair of Hobie wraparounds with blue mirror lens :-) Thumbs up from Ohio :-)
So Nick, would you rather have something like this (a well-equipped Panamera GTS), a Panamera Turbo, or a Taycan Turbo?
What is “ear suspension”?
Hey Nick! Do you have your T Shirts in size small? You got non-horizontally challenged fans as well.
Hi Nick,
I'm curious as to the state of Porsche's "autonomy" (if I can call it that) as of now. I plan to order a Taycan 4S once the regular Performance battery is available and I will obviously get the Innodrive system.
I was interested as to how it performs on the Porsche current lineup as a whole (ACC, Lane Keep, Blind Spot, traffic sign rec., emergency/intersection steer, etc...). What are the limitations of the system? How does it compare to a Tesla's? I drive on the highways a lot so it'll be used mostly there, but how does it behave on city roads? How far can you "realistically" drive hands-free? I know you said around 15 sec in the video but what if it was on a relatively straight road following a vehicle?
I'm curious to see how Porsche is in terms of the autonomous driving market, I think Audi is doing fairly well so I believe it would be fair to say the technology would be shared.
Thanks
It's quite a glorious vehicle, but sadly not all of us can afford such a masterpiece. I'll just stick to my eyes then enjoying those luxury vehicles as they past by :)
Lane keep assist does work well. If you wander once and it saves you as you fiddle with the radio - it is a bargain safety option. I have lane keep in my 911 Targa 4 and it has several times saved me from drifting into an adjacent lane by accident. Well worth the money in my opinion and I have it listed on my new Panamera being delivered in January of 23’.
The big advantage is the back seats - I ordered the executive because my 2016 Panamera did not have enough room in the back seats. The point of the Panamera is to have the ability to carry a second couple - or gorillas- in the back seats comfortably and the standard Panamera is too small in the back seats. I read that the new 2024 all electric Panamera will actually be increased in length to provide more room in the back seats which is a good move by Porsche.
where is the leather wrapped fire extinguisher option? :-)
So do you think PDCC would actually be worth anything on this car given the size and weight?
Just back from Porsche on ice were we drove almost every model available Porsche sells today, including the Taycan Turbo, and the Panamera ST GTS was the only disappointment of the lot. The Panamera e-hybrid was the biggest surprise with the most menacing exhaust note of them all.
I'm guessing it was the Turbo S E-Hybrid with the V8 engine... The Pan4 E-Hybrid has the V6 engine...
cba tiau not the Turbo S version. That’s why it was such an surprise. The V6 was louder than the 992.
I think this person spec'd their car specifically around that Stereo. Alcantara seats and roof liner makes for some serious sound dampening. Leather is a much better for sound than the plastics and he made sure to cover every surface. This is a moving audio box
You're a God damn moron!
How do you set the pdls+ lights to European spec so they're not crippled - is there a hidden setting for region? (Asking for a friend...😄 )
I remember when I was buying my Panamera, my shock was apparent when a 120k car went up to 160k with all the stuff I added to it
That must be one really amazing USB socket for four hundred plus dollars.
It cooks pancakes
The shape of this car always reminds me of a dog sitting down for a number 2.
which is higher: porsche's margin % on the gear lever upgrade....or the painted key fob?
G Garrison
You forgot the $350 decal on the door. That cost Porsche .37 cents.
$420 for a rear USB is pretty expensive too!!
Guy Davies
Hey Guy the one I had second thoughts about after the heat of the moment was the $1250
Personalized ( Turbo S ) Door-Sill Guards in Stainless Steel, Illuminated
Hey Nick that GTS will handle quite well on the track, especially with the body leveling capability. My CLS 63 AMG is a beast on the track.
SuperB63AMG they handle ‘okay’ they can not get past the weight problem no matter what handing improvements they make
@@NickMurray Hey Nick, it's not so much the weight, but it's the weight distribution. I have owned many relatively light front engine cars that can't corner for shit. Great track cars are mostly mid engine. Why? Balance my friend! That's the key! Case in point is the front engine Corvette versus the new C8.
@@NickMurray Sorry to bust your bubble Nick, but have you seen the HEAVY AMG GT 63 S around the Nurburgring? Enjoy! LOL!!! czcams.com/video/4bgLjcX6NU4/video.html
Nick would make a great Elvis impersonator.
65%+ of all us porsche sales are cayenne and macan, the furthest thing away from the Porsche spirit...
They're what kept the spirit alive, there wouldn't be a Porsche today if it wasn't for those models...
That's a topic for big debate. Many of us only came to Porsche for the 4-door vehicles and would never buy a 2-door "anything". I'm on my third Porsche now, one of them being a Macan, I can say that the Macan is superbly built and well-handling, unlike any other SUV under $200k. To me, a 2-door sports car is a waste of money -- too impractical and too unsafe (due to its tiny-ness).
Did someone order this and then walk away? I can't see a dealer specifying a car like this with so many Exclusive options.
Nick I miss your older videos where you were actually having fun in cars like an M4 or a 911.
I had to make a water closet break .. Did they get the leather wrapped air con vents? 😏
Here in Germany the Panamera GTS takes 4,1 sec from 0 to 100km/h. Do you know why?
Almowt all models are 0,2 seconds slower than in the US I think
Nick, can you review an AUDI S7?
Used Panameras seem a great bargain, but noted the comment about handling, will need to read up. The positioning of the night vision screen does not seem very good, better in a HUD type screen (if that is technically possible).
I don't get you get this deep into speccing and then end up with black on grey :(
I love the 4E hybrid ST that i own, worth every single dollar i paid for it. Here in Sweden it ended up around 125K USD after options and discount. Options that i choose: Volcano Grey Metallic, 21inch wheels, Full leather pack, Sport design pack, Sport exhaust system and some other small stuff like heated seats etc. Air suspension and sport chrono pack are both standard on the hybrid model since it needs to balance the weight of the battery in the boot and for choosing the different electric modes. Thats why I chose the 4E over 4 and 4S.
I think 4E is actually the sweet spot considering you get a great amount of torque from the battery and a happy revving twin turbo V6 from the 4S. It does add weight to the car but don't think its that noticeable with air suspension on regular driving unless you do take it to the canyons and track frequently.
Its also 25-30K cheaper than the GTS so I think it'll be better for people that lease this car when taking into account the resale value which wont be that much of a difference i believe compare to the GTS in around 3-4 years time.
not to mention that you get way more options and horsepower and torque -- plus way more fun with the all-electric drive mode -- for way less money than the 4S version, and here in the US, the 4E-Hybrid is also cheaper than the ICE-only V6 Pan4 because of the tax credits and state rebates. I will never buy another Porsche that is not a plug-in; they are superb. I'm waiting for the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and/or the Macan BEV. Other "pro" car reviewers have also said that they think that the Pan4 E-Hybrid is the "sweet spot" in the entire Panamera line-up.
cba tiau yeah I had to wait 8 months for mine to be delivered. I guess they just wanted to sell a few other models since everyone was really into the 4E when it launched
Nick I just purchased a 2020 Macan S. I think you would approve 😊
In sake of full disclosure, is the ultimate owner going to be informed of your involvement in this car? I foresee an ADM, with a signature on the glove box, "Driven and Approved by Nick Murray".
I would go with the 4S, 13 HP isn't important, I went with a 911 C4S a year ago.
Would buy, 👌
Rear wheel steering?
