So many things bring me joy! As a senior citizen who was raised in the Southern US, tea cakes have long been a welcome addition to my table. I also spent a great deal of time with an Aunt from England who married into my family. She brought me so much joy as a little girl because she taught me the pleasure of afternoon tea! My son brings me joy, and has since the moment he came into this world! Nature, gardening, dogs and cats bring me joy, and raising chickens bring me a surprising amount of joy! One of my hens has gone broody and we're expecting her to start hatching her chicks any day now! Friends and family are another great source of joy, and Kevin, you are a friend that I so look forward to sharing time with! Thank you!

Oh dear Kevin, spending time watching your video is always a treat . Hearing even a snippet of you on the piano is unadulterated joy. I would remind new subscribers that you were a professional concert pianist so we are doubly lucky to hear you even when you practice. I feel so honored by that. Like you I am fortunate to live in the country and take much delight in enjoying a walk round my gardens with my two dogs. We all enjoy nibbling on violets edging the gardens. Today I had the pleasure of cutting some French lilacs to fill my little library with their fantastic scent. I try to always have a big pitcher of Casa Blanca Lilies, bursting with unimaginable fragrance on my living room table. Friends always comment on their perfume. Nature and my boys provide me with unending joy! Judie

At 82 yrs of age, I find my garden and landscape a source of joy. I sat outside today taking a break from working, and realized how much work was left to be done here in zone 5b now 6. And then I decided to look around at my favorite flowering trees, shrubs, bulbs and the grossbeak resting in the redbud and ignore the work. After all what is already here in the beauty of the moment is what inspires me to keep on gardening. Thanks Kevin!!

What brings me joy: Spending time with my Jagger as he was the last rescue puppy my Mom saved before she transitioned on; polishing the chrome my Harley - even though I've had her for 24 years since the showroom floor, and she's ridden me all over the US, she still looks immaculate. Like you, I enjoy making my home as pleasant as possible, avoid processed foods, meditate and walk daily while being thankful for my good health, and watching your channel!

A lazy afternoon sitting on the good sofa with my dog and bundled under a blanket, watching your video, is something we both look forward to.
You don't have to be a pro to arrange flowers. You let the flowers lead you and it always looks joyous. Thank you Kevin for sharing all the joy.
My great joy is vintage and antique anything, so being able to go to an antique flea market or even a vendor mall to browse is a balm for my soul. And I love setting my table fancy with old table squares, mats, chargers, plates, napkins, centerpiece....all the beautiful things. It's always a mix of newer and antique. I keep a gorgeous cut glass Spooner on the table with some ornate old spoons in it. I change everything out frequently. I do the same with my bed, mixing and matching stripes and florals, using crisp white antique pillowcases, and fluffy throw blankets. Using my creativity with these things helps me to feel I'm living more elevated and definitely gives me immense joy!

I enjoy a cup of tea during my day and I now purchase it from Tiara Farms. I also love to take a walk in my beautiful neighborhood and spend time with my dogs outside listening to all the birds that visit our backyard. 🥰
What brings me joy - my container garden where I grow tomatoes, many different peppers, herbs, flowers, etc. I am in AZ so we are in the middle of our 1st growing season this year! Also relaxing outside watching all my hummingbirds (they stay all year round here), other birds, hearing my neighbor's rooster and peacocks in the morning! And of course, my 2 rescue cats and all their shenanigans. Thank you Kevin, I'm trying to learn to enjoy cleaning lol!
I like container gardening, watching birds and my stray/rescue cat. I'm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. We have a small Anna hummer that stays in the valley year-round.
Your channel gives me a break from the “ugly reality” of cancer care. I need that break every day

On a more mundane level, mending things brings me ridiculous amounts of joy. Particularly fixing moth-attacked sweaters, holes in socks, fraying old towels... it is just not hard. And very satisfying. Thank you for all the work you do to add joy to our lives.

My husband and I spent this past Saturday deep cleaning our kitchen. Initially, it wasn't fun and we wanted to do anything else, but by the end of the afternoon, the kitchen was clean from top to bottom, inside and outside the best we could and we felt really proud and actually excited to cook and bake in our kitchen again. Even now while at work, I look forward to going home and preparing some healthy jell-o for a low calorie dessert and baking some muffins for breakfasts.

Like you I love nature … the birds singing bring joy and watching the wildlife captured on my cctv - foxes… badgers… in my small garden .. Joy: Drinking my morning tea or coffee on the deck while watching the sun rise brings me joy. I do this every morning during warmer weather (and it’s not raining). Doing star and planet gazing with the telescope my late daughter gave me. Baking all sorts of goodies for my husband and family. Watching your channel. Trying some of your recipes. Discovering your channel this past year gave me immense joy! I love all the things you do and share.
Puttering around in my flower beds, spending time with my chickens, decorating my house for the seasons are just a few things that bring me joy.

The world needs more people like this. We're all so darn frazzled and drowning in social media and our jobs, that we've forgotten to stop and enjoy life. REAL LIFE and the beautiful things in it, like nature, plants, flowers, animals, music, friends, and food made with love and care. Remember, before computers and TVs, that's what people had. Please make changes in your life that take you away from technology, for a while each day. Sit outside, admire nature and and lean into the sunshine. (Feel the warmth on your face as it gives your body Vitamin D and Melatonin for good sleep.) Take deep breaths, and fill your lungs with fresh, clean, air. Be totally in the moment. Remember, we're supposed to be living life, not just watching it on a screen. (This is seriously missing from our lives, and is a big reason why so many people are depressed now. Our natural world, especially, gives you peace of mind and perspective.) Sending prayers for everyone who reads this. ❤

Hi Kevin. A professional florist gave me a homemade recipe for a cut flower feed and preservative and I have been using it successfully for over 20 years. The ratios are important to adhere to. For every 1 litre of water, add 1/2 teaspoon of household bleach, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, and 2 teaspoons of white sugar. The tiny amount of bleach acts as a germicide/anti bacterial and keeps the water clear and stems from rotting too quickly, The vinegar maintains a PH of 3.5 ensuring water continues to be drawn up the cut stems, and of course the sugar is plant food. This is fundamentally what is in dehydrated florist sachets. 😃

Many things bring me joy. One of my favorite is keeping chickens. I did not grow up on a farm. My husband and I moved to the country when I was in my late 40's and we got some chickens. They are very easy to keep and very entertaining to watch. I wouldn't want to deprive you of your trips to the farm, Kevin, but I'm kind of suprised you don't have a small coop and 4 or 5 chickens. Not only would you have all the fresh eggs you could ever want, but an abundance of garden gold (manure) for your garden (as long as you use pine shavings and not straw in your coop.)
You may not be a professional florist but you have the eye for color, design and proportion of one. You're just a natural. As with most talents you have a number of gifts. Thank you for your beautiful show.

Dear Kevin, I live almost completely opposite of you but seem to enjoy all the same things. I’m a 74 year old grandma, but I still get the same beautiful sky and breezes and nature. I can walk through Mammoth Cave Ky, grow a few things in a container garden, have a granddaughter that occasionally stops by and talks with me, so blessed. I live in a little trailer which fits all my needs. I’m blessed with a nice little church with caring people. And I enjoy your channel that has no chaos. Thank you for your time.

Another lovely video!!! You are so blessed to have such a beautiful large house that will accommodate not only one but two grand pianos!!! My home won’t accommodate even a baby grand but I do own a Donner digital grand piano that I am very blessed and proud to say my husband gifted me on my 68th birthday in March of 2023. I had been without a piano for over 30 years which was continuously very distressful for me. In the early 1990’s, I sold my very old console piano to a local young mother who wanted to teach piano lessons in her home. I had every intention to purchase a new piano, but life just got in the way, not to mention the very high price tag of the piano I wanted-I never dreamed it would take so long to make this purchase, nor did I ever think I would purchase a digital piano; but, I have thoroughly enjoyed having any piano in my daily life once again!!! I had most definitely missed my piano!!! I play almost every day and I have been amazed that I was not nearly as rusty as I expected to be!!! Your flower arrangement is absolutely breathtaking-there is nothing more beautiful in any room in a home than a fresh flower arrangement!!! I must try your tea cookie recipe with the rose water-I’ve never used rose water in cooking before so I am very eager to give it a try!!!
