They always convey a specific delightful theme to me , so charming they are! I'm a bit of a newcomer to your channel but I must say I've spent numerous hours fascinated by the beauty of your elaborate victorian home inside and outside. I guess it's "victorian? Your cooking, deco and exhibits & displays are beautiful and has certainly taught me how to prepare and serve meals, deserts etc. in such a more elegant & graceful way. Viewing the beauty of your home during these winter months certainly gets me "home sick", I'm originally from central upstate NY but currently living in the North Carolina area where having a white christmas does not exist and the beauty of a "snowfall" is definately not understood! **How serendipitous: Yesterday I was trying to think of what I could do with the can of chick peas in my cabinet - BROWNIES!!!
Every time you sit at the table and take a mouth full of your dinner creations, you remind me of the Galloping Gourmet. The way you nod your head in approval of your own cooking is always a pleasure to watch. I used to make that salmon dish all the time about 10 years ago. I used to make brownies and other such treats as well. I have everything you do to make it, but one gets lazy. Seeing that salmon meal has inspired me to do the same next week. By the way... your house as it was shown at the beginning is crying out for a watercolour...without too much detail. We'll see what we can do.

So, I was explaining to my husband today - as I cleaned out our HUGE built-in bookcase in the office - in anticipation of the painters coming on Sunday - OMG! - I always say, what would Kevin do? How would he handle this project? As always, you made a "chore" into a day-long much-needed clearing, which feels GREAT! Tomorrow, I make the chick-pea brownies. And the salmon? Perhaps Monday. I live is southwestern Wisconsin and we are having a very snowy start to our new year, too. I am definitely putting that salmon recipe in my repertoire - so easy and looks so delicious! Kevin: Thank you, again, for an elegant, delightful video! I made vanilla in the same bottles with the same vanilla beans as Christmas presents this year. I bottled them in July, and the vanilla was perfect for giving in December. Those brownies not only look divine, but with the chickpeas, they're loaded with protein, too. (A 'healthy' chocolate treat!) Cheers!

Kevin I made my extract with not only rum I used brandy, cognac and vodka. I used tahitian AND Madagascar beans and bottled the vanilla in 4 oz brown bottles. I put them up for about 8 months. I made 16 bottles and gave most away last Christmas 2022. Now I'm ready to make more. I like your bottles. And you gave me the idea to go out and cut my forsythia to force.

Having lived in Rhode Island for 25 years, I don’t miss the snow one bit now that I live in sunny Belize, but I must admit it does look beautiful when first it decorates the trees. Sitting here in my California kitchen, I was swept away to your peaceful,serene, snowy garden. What a moment!!! I can only imagine the tranquility to actually walk through it. I can almost hear your footsteps crunching in the snow. And salmon is my absolute favorite fish ever, so the recipe had my mouth watering! I must make it soon. I wanted to reach in and grab my spoon and join you! I collect blue and white dinnerware , so loved the presentation, With wine and a fire, on a cold evening.... pure heaven!!!!! Thank you for inspiring me to make an ordinary dinner into an extraordinary meal. Living alone, I usually sear my salmon with the crispy skin, and eat it standing at the kitchen counter. I noticed Goldie was circling the table, eyeballing the salmon. Cute. The brownies look good too. I have been told that you can make whipped cream (imitation) from the drained chickpea liquid.
