Singular Sound Beat Buddy Demo with Zendrum ZX2

This is just a quick video I put together to demo the sounds of the Modern Classic Gretsch kit on the Singular Sound Beat Buddy. I'm simply using the Beat Buddy as a sound module here, triggered by the Zendrum ZX2 with midi routing through a ZDS Shifter Pro. The recorded audio is straight from the Beat Buddy (recorded into Ableton Live) with no further processing. I absolutely love this combo! There's no perceptible latency when triggering the Beat Buddy, and editing kits for the Beat Buddy is fairly easy using their editor. For this kit, I created a drag articulation using the original velocity-layered snare samples, and I also changed the top velocity layer samples on the ride to a ride bell. Each sound has 15 layers in 3-5 round robin groupings. The ZDS Shifter Pro allows me to stack a kick on my crashes and also swaps my closed hi hat for the ride. There's so much potential here and I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface!

Is there a dedicated snare drag, or can you do it just through technique?
