Didn't it turn March 31st yesterday?
@@sam4gaming135 ??? Does your phone have a calendar? You should know that's like a week from now.
@@anueutsuho7425 Can't blame him, everyone's getting amped for Mario's End day.
It’s like some dudes in the 90’s who had never heard of anime before were given like 3 random images of the art style and were told “Here, copy this art style but in 3D.”
Hey, stop talking shit about my waifu!
@@Mick_92 horrific 3D pokemon characters are your waifu?

Julie, the most obscure Pokegirl of all.
And for damn good reason.
Now that Vinny streamed it, at least 4 more fanarts of her will be drawn. 2021 is gonna be her year
Inbred Pokégirl
I kinda wanna see a "fixed" version of her in like the current Pokemon arstyle
Julie > May, Dawn, Rosa
23:28 Wasting 12 whole pieces of printer paper on a playmat? In 1999? My dad's face would've turned bright red with steam coming out the ears
These character models aren't just cursed, they're eldritchly so.
I'm so sad Vinny didn't click on slowpoke or slowbro. Their cries were hilarious.
"HHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..."
Has no style
He has no grace
This mon has a funny face
The Hitmonlee is just a bunch of crashing sound effects & bruce lee yells, its amazing
She looks like those haunted Christopher Hart how-to-draw-anime examples
This segment was like a hefty brick of nostalgia colliding with my skull, killing me instantly.

You look at the maclanky and think about how delicious it would be if you ate it cooked
This is from the tragic era of "Japanimation" when american artist had to figure out how to draw anime.
Don’t remind me.

@@darquille
Don't you speak that name ever again YOU HEAR ME!
@@darquille Kappa Mikey was both sorta fun but really painful
These characters look like one of those terrible how to draw manga books, but like, an even worse parody version.
"this is a licensed game you guys"
*cutout pikachu cardart with artifacting around the ears zooms across the screen*
So funny story from when I was a kid, when I played ptcg I thought prize cards were taken from your opponents deck, and I was the one teaching the other students in school how to play cause everyone collected them but never played.
It was probably 6 months later when we all found out prize cards are your own cards you take lmao.
that's how i played as a kid, too. it was cutthroat.
So it basically became a gambling game?
I actually thought that was how you play it until now.
That's how I was raised as well. It makes no sense that they call them "prize" cards if it's just your own. I also think it enabled the *trading* aspect of the game better to play that way.
It's funny because early mtg used a similar mechanic, and even had cards that interacted with it like an overpowered draw spell that made you wager an additional card. Eventually this was cracked down on because of gambling laws and the mechanic was quietly removed from the game
27:32 "IT SOUNDS LIKE A STRIP CLUB IN HERE!!! GODDAMN!"
14:25 Me? Dewgongonga.
Dewgongaga*.
Thanks, this will now haunt me for the rest of the month.
I have a memory of playing this game around 20 years ago when we were about to drive to my family's place for my little cousin's 7th birthday. He got a razor scooter and when I took it for a spin he threw a ball at me and I ate shit on the concrete and cried. Spent the rest of the day playing Hogan's Alley on the NES then on the way home I vomitted cake, candy and soda in the car. Good times.
That username feels ancient ngl
14:05 Caterpie says it needs therapy and Chansey is having a stroke
The Pokémon card addiction of the last few weeks was all leading up to this. Back to the nightmare.
I remember playing this at a friend's house once way back in the day and I thought it was just a weird dream I had for years
Also, I miss when the Pokemon TCG was good like this
26:44 Addict Noises
17:35 “I am heavy weapons guy. And this... is my Pokémon “
I fear no mon, but this... this thing? It scares me.
aww, _geodood_

these pokemon cries oml. the tangela really said "dfbgserghalsdgkvjufd;lhmdjgvlkd"
This conjured up memories that I never wanted to remember. The faces. THE FACES.
Bruh, you're me
just realized a lot of 90's commercials were just footage of kids awkwardly doing kid things. it was banking on, and validating, envy/jealousy in children.
@Alucard Have to condition the children into accepting capitalism somehow!
@@xXRickTrolledXx Envy is human nature.
On the first day, God created the N64.
@@xXRickTrolledXx commie
@@phoebeaurum7113 No, it's a variant of jealousy and jealousy is an emotion. Emotion is a response to outside or inside stimulus.
Nature refers to a fixed state that was acquired in birth and can't be changed (e.g: fear, hunger, thirst). Envy can be controlled and managed
8:21- That weird "boing" sound effect was also used in Pantsylvania.
Inhuman demons haunt my nightmares.
omg. I remember playing this a ton as a child. I honestly didn't even think it was cursed at the time, but holy crap does this bring back weird memories hahaha
I had nightmares about those cursed faces when I was little
Thanks for letting me experience those horrors once again, Vinny
This game feels like it would just stab you and steal all your money.
So not all that different from the new Pokémon company policy
Ernie Hudson over here making this entire interview worth it with such a wholesome, emotional breakdown of how amazing this all really is.
I had this as a kid, I thought the tutorial person having the same name as me was the coolest shit.
Hi Julie
@@scoobydouche9991 I'm a Pokemon Trainer, just like you! :D
I love how they tried to make 3D anime models but they turned out to be deformed fetuses dipped in nuclear waste.
Probably used those 'How 2 Draw Manga' tutorial books to create their 3D embodiment of tumor
my god, how far we can go in only a few years, from these hell-faces to some of the most memorable pre-rendered faces of early 2000s rpgs
Glad to know I wasn't the only one to get emotional over Ernie Hudson bonding with his son, what a great father he must be to his kids.
Ah yes. I often like to imagine these characters roaring like Godzilla.
In the games they did. For some bizarre reason they had them say their own names in the anime. Probably so we can learn their names and want to buy them.
@@koatam I mean the "humans" lol.
Vinny getting trolled with the Fred Durst interview was the hardest I've laughed in a while
I waited for this for so long
Had this CD as a kid. Pretty sure you got to print off a certificate if you finish the quiz. That's why it asked for his name.
We need a reunion for all of the people that were in these interviews.
Makes me wonder how many of them became crack addicts
I used to have a version of this as a kid that was included as a bonus on an old Pokémon DVD. It was very simplified and only included 2 very basic pre-made decks to choose from, so it bored me pretty quickly
Everything popping in as it loads brings back so many memories
now this is the kind of rival we need in the new games
I'm....kinda curious as to what their skulls look like :V
I don't think they have skulls :P
:v face users unite
Tell me how they smell once you found out, haha
@Keihedgie Bust out the calipers lads
please look up anatomy of an anime girls skull on google, im sure its the same
9:00 Explosive duckarrhea
shoulda run that ending vid through the ytp generator.
Thank you for your efforts Jackal
Oh god I didn't want to remember this.
I copied all the links of the Pokemon TCG Video. 90% of the websites are dead.
Put them in the wayback machine of the web archive and you might find some stills of the old homepages.
The pokemon cries give a good idea of how early this was. Pikachu, Meowth, and Jigglypuff for example all appeared in the anime early on and have their familiar VAs. Pokemon like Zapdos though get a generic sound, and in some cases I don't think those were even from Red/Blue. A few cases I swear sound like they were ripped from the anime, background sounds and all.
Vinny mentions how big Pokemon was. I'm a bit older than he was *and* have younger siblings and remember buying the original packs, including getting a holo Charizard. But even cooler than that, to me, was a kiosk that sold Japanese packs and I pulled "your" Chancy where you were meant to write your name in. Look up the art, it's adorable.
awh geodood

That hair is hurting me more than it should
impaled by the pointy hair
Jesus I just had the biggest case of nostalgia hit me in the face I use to have this game! Its been...forever since I played this its insane that you just....can play it.
Oh my god I played this as a kid. I completely deleted it from my head. That opening animation alone flooded my brain with memories long gone.
They should have stayed gone.
28:38 Kid's holding the cards upside down.
This game is probably the starting point of Vinny trying to get the charizard card by opening card decks on every stream
Man that video Vinny watched with Chat makes me wanna go back to the card shop and vibe with the bois
I used to have this, and this brings back so many memories
This reminds me of that shitty how-to-draw anime tutorial on DeviantART.
This jumps straight from cursed to haunted; I feel the eldritch energy draining my soul
ADDICT
32:12 IF BLASTOISE WAS MY DAD THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT AROUND HERE.
The man, the legend Ernie Hudson! If he endorses the Pokémon TCG, I'll respect that shit!
27:08
I actually played this as a kid and it wasn't as cursed-looking in it's day as it is in retrospect. Great nostalgia fix and for a e-TCG in the 95/98 era it's actually pretty amusing.
thank you john fullsauce
Kid: "Yeah, one adivce, get used to memorizing all 150 of them"
Oh... oh no, this poor kid, he has no idea what's in store for the following decades of this franchise...
lmao no way in HELL i'm memorizing all 800 or 900
that Ernie Hudson segment was amazing. 🥺
I really like how the eyebrows on all the cg humans' faces just kind of float about a quarter inch off of their foreheads instead of actually being physically attached to the characters' skin.
I refuse to believe this is officially licensed.
What if the next pokemon games look like this?
Why didn't I develop PTSD when I played this as a wee, little lad is something that I will never understand. Yet, I still feel a shiver down my spine when I look at those CGI characters.
ngl i used to play this over and over again as a kid,
I love this
Makes me don't wanna be the very best that no one ever was
14:04
I can't hear anything else than "My brother"
Mum brought this one home to me while I was sick
I played this
A LOT
Wait, I had this as a kid
WHY WAS I NOT UTTERLY TERRIFIED OF THIS????
Dang, pretty cool that Ernie Hudson's son was so into pokemon, that he actually got his dad into the games.
Even if it is completely out of left field
YOOOO! This game literally taught me how to play the TCG, and then I went on to play in tourneys! Don't get me wrong, I wasn't good. I once forfeited a match because I was bored and wanted to go outside and play in the snow... but this shit taught me how to play regardless.
as soon as i heard *wizards of the coast* published this i knew i was in for a wild ride
i used to love this game as a kid. it came with my original pokemon starter set!
The old video was really wholesome
The way Onix's cry is just literal demonic screeching
Me, hugging my knees, rocking slowly back and forth: "No. No no no no. No no no."
Actually, this game works properly on Windows 10. All you need to do is copy the installation files from the CD/Iso to your PC, set compatibility for Setup.exe to Windows 95 before you run it, and find a Mss32.dll patch for this game (only use it to patch the one in the game's installation folder obviously). There's even no need for compatibility options beyond the installer. Granted, that final step is a bit of a problem as I can't remember where I got it from (you won't find it by searching for the dll name). You don't necessarily need that last step to run the game though, but it will frequently crash without.
If this Cardsauce season goes on long enough, we might see Vinny playing Magic: the Gathering Arena, hopefully with Rev or Desert.
oh no i remember this
*damn you vinny vinesauce*
I had that interview thing on VHS as a kid.
Ah surge, the one soda that gave me sugar induced gaps in my memory
This (version 1.0 probably) is the Pokémon game I grew up with.
That explains a lot actually...
OH GOD ALL OF THEIR FACES ARE MELTING
Lmao I bought that VHS at the end at a grocery store when I was like, 8 or 9 years old. I have no idea why a '90's VHS was for sale there, but I bought it and wished I could have gone to this event some 5 or 6 years too late.
This is a haunting memory for me
31:20 Holy fuck he looks like Mason from Card N All Gaming
Staryu vs Machop, the game. I also collected PokeROMS
I didn't remember how cursed this actually was. I still have it somewhere too
NO, let’s not GO!
My game would crash a few steps in to the tutorial so I just played the first few steps over and over soooo many times 😫
