dang, I never knew I would see frog game again
When I saw this comment I thought that somehow bunji has returned
@Jaden Kyrie WHOA! not ONE but TWO BOTS!!!
They're not really trying hard nowadays to scam people huh
Literally loved videos of this game back in the day
I had gifted Vinny Cargo! The Quest For Gravity back in 2014/15, my time has finally come
Somehow Cargo made a lot more sense the moment Vinny said it was Russian.
But really, the buddies make me a bit uncomfortable but I dig the game's weird aesthetic, reminds me a bit of Psychonauts!
Cargo has a distinct and alluring charm to it. Even though the game looks like if someone decided to turn one of those bowling alley animations into an interactive media.
That's Ice Pick Lodge for you. The same people that made Void (Тургор) and everyone's favourite headache walking simulator Pathologic (Мор: Утопия).
that game made me feel sick, had to skip to the next game.
@@dferrith keep us informed
@@Olegach21 The game right after Cargo made me feel a bit better, thanks
Yeah I'm half-tempted to pick it up. It has a nice style to it.
I remember when Amazing Frog was an Ouya exclusive game.
Man, I sure do wonder what compelled them to port it to Steam.
I hope they weren't expecting to make any money from it there. Because... uh... hmm.
frog lover monies
@@OtakuUnitedStudio It has 4600+ reviews on steam. Which means It has EASILY sold 50.000+ copies. And that's a very low estimate for sales to review conversion.
That's the only game the devs made, and it's been in early access for over 8 years with zero updates. Depressing.
@@milesedgeworth132 damn that’s sad, i hope is ok
Between the classic slavjank, the bit during GASP (D:) and being gifted Fart Simulator at the end, this section got oddly Joel-like.
I feel like with every Steam Speen feature, thumbnail Gabe should become more and more depressed.
just like were depressed when gabe doesnt update tf2 and add newer updates to the game
Uriel's Chasm is something like Scientology would make after seeing Vinny's corruption stream for too long
33:00 - Ah, the Ouya and its glorious 2-year lifespan.
With the Ouya we can finally play games on the television
Ouya is a fitting name for that “system” because it sounds like the “oh yeah...” most will say when they recall it existed.
did it qualify as having a lifespan? all i remember is it being coming soon and then getting shat on.
2 years is pretty generous tbh
*sees Amazing Frog v.3
What have they done to my boy?
What happened?
@@puntellipuna1061 They cut out NPCs, screwed up the physics engine, and just made it more boring in general.
On top of already being kind of a boring ragdoll toybox.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio but why?
@@AmonGus-df2wu because they felt to have to update the game to a more modern engine...
@@Phantron but.... Why.
Strong emotions are forbidden here.
Love you Vin 💚 1:08:52
Hello, Are you part of the furry fandom?
@@Sernival Can't find evidence through on FA or Google, so the answer's most likely no T.T
Holy shit, this has reminded me of when TotalBiscuit (RiP) made a video review of Cargo! The Quest for Gravity like 10 years ago.
I wasn't even aware that that game was ingrained in my memory until I recognized it from this stream.
I'd really like a look into the behind the scenes of Amazing Frog... What happened between v2 and v3? There's a community???
I want to know why they're still working on it.
i wonder where the funds went after being an Ouya exclusive.
Remember when the OUYA was a thing? Now we have things like Stadia to laugh at.
@@Mrwizard-ck7oe It's not quite gone (yet) unfortunately, they only shut their games development studios. Still a big loss, considering that was a layoff of around 150 folk, but Stadia itself as a platform is still up.
@@plazmasyt it's up because some people actually bought it. Basically it's on life support.
@@AutumnWind92 Really? That's funny as fuck, can you link me to an article or something?
@@plazmasyt Watched few videos here on CZcams. You said it already, there are no games being developed by it and it was already almost dead on arival. Tbh I tried cloud gaming and it worked fine for me but im casual gamer. Never knew what was the issue with the Stadia tho. Google even fired 150 employees working on Stadia xD
@@AutumnWind92 Stadia is/was also a huge money sink. The way how Google was able to get some companies to buy on to let them run their games on Google servers was by paying them lots of money and from the early presentations even the staff had their doubts.
The devs that made Cargo also made Pathologic 1 and 2, along with the Void.
Ok but "A spaceship that uses hallucinogenic drug fueled lasers to mine bible verses from meteorites" sounds so fucking cool
Does it? Because it just sounds like someone explaining their first drug induced nightmare
@@Vaguer_Weevil I mean yeah, but aren't metal things like that usually cool af?
Honestly, that game doesn't deserve to keep that premise to itself.
It would be, in a warhammer universe maybe
The concept of space nuns trying to find a lost monastery in deep vacant space honestly sounds cool as hell too
The first and last time I saw anything about amazing frog Jerma just released a video about it
from me was pewdiepie
Last time i heard about that game was in a uberhaxornova animation
I wish I was as amazing as these frogs.
I thought it was an OUYA exclusive
I think you are
Me too
Can someone tell vinny to check out Rivals Of Aether? Specifically the work shop? People have made a lot of characters that vinny would really love, like Binyot, Hotel Mario, Morshu, Chrono, Garfield and so on.
Cargo! seems like the perfect example of those early indie games Steam used to promote A LOT with things like the Potato Sack Initiative.
And goddamn, 1:05:40 just caused an absolute nostalgia shock for me. Wildlife Park 2 was amazing in my childhood. Never played Horses, though, I was more interested in the archaeological aspects of the original.
I especially liked that guests weren't completely bound to the paths, like they tend to be in tycoon games. It allowed some nice creativity that I am still missing in Planet Coaster/Zoo
Feet slapping sounds
Meat flapping sounds
I genuinely loved that Cargo game. Reminds me of American McGee's Alice, which is one of my favorite games.
I was literally thinking the same thing, I wonder what it is. Maybe the modeling and design and atmosphere is similar? That sort of late ps2, early ps3/360 look and weird characters and atmosphere and weirdly endearing voice work
Makes me think of Psychonauts.
I love how Joker frog ended up getting knocked down with a police frog. Fitting somehow.
I was trying to figure out why Cargo! gave off such familiar vibes to me
no wonder! its made by Ice-pick lodge. (Pathologic devs, Knock Knock) their games have a very distinct feel to them.
Everytime Vinny said the words "Joker Frog" I just couldn't stop laughing, I think something is wrong with me
I feel the same when he says GAS
I feel the same when he says GAS
me but every time he says glupshitto
IT HAS TORTURED US FOR YEARS, RANDOMLY SELECTING TERRIBLE VIDEO GAMES
The girl in Cargo! needs "more weight" to maneuver down? How do those devs think dirigibles work in real life?
By synthesizing weight
Weight DLC
@@EsperPinion What is thrust if not synthetic weight?
13:00 I haven't seen this game since TB did a WTF is of it, damn. Rest in Peace King.
I'm very grateful i watched this this morning instead of last night, god knows whatever horrid dreams these first two games would've spawned
Fun fact Cargo was made by Ice-pick lodge after there past game Pathologic(Мор. Утопия.) was criticized for being "unfun", author got really angry and in response to the critic he made the game that was aggressively "fun".
Дыбовский style
Pathologic is extremely unfun though but that's why it is special to me
XxX420MilfHunter
Well, now we know what Kakyoin's Steam username is.
✨Fun Fact ✨
The “Swindon” from Amazing Frog is actually a real place, and it’s home to the Oasis Leisure Center which influenced the naming of the band Oasis.
The game is modelled after the real life town, and you ran someone over outside a replica of the Swindon Magistrates Court.
Thanks for listening.
Lol I wondered if that was the case. If anything the fact it emulated that uncanny feel of Swindon just proves Swindon itself was made in the unity engine.
yep its definitely real. XTC originated there too if Vinny is interested in knowing that
"1 Buddy is currently drowning"
And this is a problem how exactly?
Hey, guys? There are 3 Uriel’s chasm games... THREE OF THEM.
that first game was weirder than half the shit vin plays during gettin weird with it
49:29 GAS!
How is Amazing Frog 50x worse than I remember it?
It was funny and new in like 2016 lol but now it just feels gimmicky
@@BananaPhoPhilly 2014*
Time is moving at an alarming rate. Oh shit, this game came out half a year AFTER Goat Simulator
it was a different time
Many people including youtubers were making it seem a lot better than it was.
Vinny, Cargo! is made by Ice-Pick Lodge, a russian developer that also made Pathologic (and it's sequel). If you like dark, weird, immersive games you should seriously try Pathologic 2.
That game is very hard and punishing. Is he into those kind of games?
@@raven75257 yes
Was really intrigued by Cargo!, It looks like cooky fun. and had to look it up. And I was really surprised that they went on to make Pathologic. Still need to play that myself
I remember watching Uberhaxornova play amazing frog back in the day. This just brought back some old memories.
44:19
_a southern drawl, the world unseen_
_a city wall and a trampoline_
- the killers, read my mind
Damn! I thought that one said "Fallout 3" and I got so excited, I'd love to see Vin play through that game!
Damn... The amazing frog...
I can't believe vinny invented wheelhaus a couple years later
That Cargol game was a bizarre mix of aforementioned Banjo Kazooie, but also Lemmings and Overlord, I don't know if it's genius or insanity.
Oh man seeing my poor amazing frog in v3 made me sad, I remember being obsessed with that game YEARS ago, I wonder what's new, I remember messing with sharks a lot
There's an entire episode of Gintama that turns out to be a comercial for some kind of hair rejuveination product.
Can we get Vinny to do an Ouya stream for a Sunday stream?
That would be so good if it were possible. So many trashy ports + maybe one or two exclusive games that later got ported, every game was forced to have a free demo so people just window shopped and downloaded every demo they could get their hands on, a terrible controller and outdated-the-day-it-released hardware.
Such a failure of a console.
The servers were taken down years ago, so he wouldn't be able to play it even if he wanted to.
@@Spewa-em8cm maybe have someone give him an Ouya with a bunch of shit that's been installed previously on it?
Better off just do another awful android games... it would be way more entertaining than ouya shit
@@Meme_Lor That would imply that someone owned an Ouya that had games on it lol
3:34 I was watching “07-Ghost” the other day and heard a similar version of this quote... Who would have known that an anime with such heavy religious undertones could be so entertaining..? I also saw “Hells” for the first time yesterday, same story, but TeamFourStar was involved, so instant win...
I laughed so much watching Amazing Frog v2
Maybe because I was eating...
So cool
Feeding Frenzy is such a good series
You gotta realize amazing frog is a hidden gem, i always watched a youtube called pungence play it and always wanted it when i was younger, so when i finally played it, it is amazing and huge for a random gta ripoff involving frogs.
I SWEAR I heard the Cargo grass footsteps in Half-Life 1.
That space trader game is actually pretty fun
42:13 YEET
The new amazing frog looks like when a fresh-from-university game designer provides "advice" on how to make your game less confusing for new players
25:00 Wouldn't mind more of this game, could be a fun series
I cried 2 minutes ago
Honestly, Cargo! looked pretty cool
Uriels gasm policy
Wasn't expecting another of this segment, but gosh dang. Gimme that Steam trash!
Eh, John, didn't you mean 'Cargol'?
i litteraly remember watching FGTEEV play amazing frog? when i was little!
*S P E E N*
I can see the D: in twitch chat at 47:05.
At first, I didn’t see the pointer on the wheel, but after Uriel’s Chasm, I could see a very teeny tiny pointer on the left. Is there any way to make it bigger? Otherwise it’s impossible to see with the naked eye.
anyone else's video progress bar randomly yellow on this video? the video failed to load 3 times and when i refreshed it played with a yellow bar
Somebody else commented on that too
51:36 - Hello? This is First Officer MyDad'sMic
14:30 Gigglebone Gang originsxD
When does Vinny destroy the worst one?
GASP is the original strand-like game.
@DESERTP !!! We call on you to play Amazing Frog with Vinny!!!
1:09:30 _But there was no more wheel._
Why is my time marker on youtube videos suddenly yellow instead of red?
Thats usually during ads
speen
Where is the wheel? I wanna rattle my bones. :(
31:31 Look! It's Jim Fucking Sterlingson
GASP is pretty much Metroid Vape.
Why does that Cargo game seem so familiar? I must have watched a youtuber play it at some point...
Why isn't Gabe combined with Todd Howard
1:07:32 YA WINNIN, SON?
Apparently I also own a bunch of these games, and had no idea.
11:37 Exclametion mark
oh hey, new vid
cool
I feel like I've seen memes of the second game. some horrid cursed shit....
Where is the tuba music Vinny played found?
Family Guy
speen lol
yes
Very yes
yes yes yes
oh yeah!
I confused the amazing from with frolf.
42:54 LOL m8
why the frog game funny
Please rename the segment to "Cargol" to accurately reflect the official steam name of the game
i cant believe a game that says "praises Jesus, trip balls" isnt good
Fart Butt Frog >w>
480P ANDY
Uriel's Chasm didn't seem particularly much worse than the average sunday game.
Also don't know why Rev, and presumably his viewers leaving reviews, got so huff and puff over it given the flash trash he used to stream.
As shit as it is, I'd certainly consider Elsa dental surgery flash games to be worse.
In terms of trash, yes, Elsa Dental Surgery is definitely worse. In terms of being a game that you can play and make progress in, Uriel's Chasm is actually worse.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio Even if this game was TRYING to be offensive, from what I've seen it doesn't even really succeed.
I think a game like Hong Kong 97 is WAAAY worse since that game, as the creator of it has stated after it's gained a following on the internet, was literally just him trying to be offensive and crude, and honesty kind of succeeded (especially with the you-know-what on the death screen, which is confirmed it's what you think it is, fucking gross). THAT game is an example of something that is just absolutely fucking vile and offends me it even exists.
Unless this game has some kind of extremely poor taste rape scene or also contains actual snuff photography or something in a later scene, worse games exist on an offensive level, and I would argue games that function worse on a gameplay level that were charged money to play absolutely exist too. I would rather play this than any of the shitty bullet hells from Action 52, at the very least I could get a laugh at attempting to examining it's shitty attempts at commentary.
FOOTNOTE: i am NOT defending the game. It's dogshite. Absolutely. Just playing Devil's Advocate.
Rev wrote that review 5 years ago. I'm sure he has played worse since then and probably doesn't even remember this game.
Who gets defensive over criticism of Uriel's Chasm anyway? It's like you got so personally offended you're trying to accuse Rev of manipulating the reviews through his fans. It's shovelware that costs $5.50. It objectively deserves its bad score. Just because it's not as bad as "Elsa Dental Ass Wiping Simulator" on DressUpGames doesn't mean it escapes criticism.
Yo, vinny should play unturned again
18:51
Gonna need like a half a second clip of this
I wish I was not denied flatout 3
Same, i loved the minigames as a teen.
Edit: im remembering the second game. Still, id like to see what it had become.
@@gummostump4217
you don't want to.
@@gummostump4217 Don't. The 3rd one is absolute garbage. The 4rth one was alright, but never got to the level of 2.
