    Clean the cem and apply some Dielectric grease to the electrical connections. 90% of the time that solves all the problems

    Did you replace and clone the CEM? If so what was the process and if not, then what exactly did you do? I have the same year s40 with the same problem and need to fix it. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon :)

    What did you do to fix it.? no sound, no explanation. What was it?

      The CEM was the problem my guy. Some of its connector pins were corroded. The CEM is that fusebox found under the passenger glovebox. Cheers.

    I had same problem. Just cleaned all corrosions by isopropyl alcohol and all my problem solved. But it’s not the case. The case is where this water comes from. Obviously water walks from wire harness of green socket, but from where this harness gets water drops.
    Did you find it? I suspect the washer pump of wipers. What do you think?

      sunroof drain in the pit and a-pillar area. do you have a sunroof?

      @@geesmooth7245 I will firstly check again washer pump which is mentioned by a guy on a Volvo forum. If this won't help, I'll burn bridges, will remove windshield and reseal again :)

      Can failure of ABS pump also can lead to that
