    I owe this (SP2022) and a Gen4 glock 19, depending what you want it for.
    Glock weighs less empty and loaded, both hold 15 in the mags, the SP2022 mags are around $35-$45 each while the glock are $20-$25 each, also to carry, the glock is just so smooth, nothing digging in anywhere.
    The first gun I bought was a cheap .40 S&W sigma, I sold that and bought me the sig SP2022 in 9mm, I still have this gun today, polished the barrel, metal guide rod, color filled grooves etc... I love it, but after borrowing my cousins glock 19 gen3, I fell in love with how basic it is, so I went out and bought me my own gen4 G19, both are reliable, no FTF, FTE anything, trust both guns with my life.

      Louis Mendez I have a G19 and thinking of getting a SP 2022 for home defense. I'm keeping the Glock for CCW and as a truck gun. I could get the SP 2022 for $439 two magazines and night sights out the door.

      Kenneth Wilson lol.my sp2022 is like a fat kid in a cake store it'll eat it all. But he mentions in the video the hammer has play. keep the trigger pressed after a dry fire an push the hammer forward an see how far in the slide it actually goes in to hit the firing pin

  • @Jeepjones85
    @Jeepjones85 Před 8 lety +12

    I love it I just bought one and it came with 2 mags mag loader night sights holster and light with laser for $499 It feels great, come from a guy who has owned several Glocks over the years this one hands down feels like quality. The slide feels like butter. Definitely one of the best decision I've made in a while.

    I own a Sig SP2022 in a 40 S&W and it is an excellent gun for your money. Part of the reason why I went with the SP2022 in 40 S&W instead of the 9mm is that you can buy a 357sig barrel and in essence have two guns for the price of one. I purchased a 357sig barrel and love shooting the round so much that I keep the 357sig barrel in the SP2022. Underwood ammo has ammo specifically for 357sig that it matches speeds of the 357 magnum. Underwood ammo has ammo that will shot a 125 grain Gold Dot bonded bullet in a 4 inch barrel at 1,500 FPS. Now you have a semi automatic handgun that holds ten plus one rounds of lighting speed bullets. The Sig SP2022 even came with night sights. All I did was put a light/laser on the rail of the handgun and I have an excellent handgun that you can't beat!

    I had the same grip issue with the glock 19. When I first placed the SP 2022 in my hands in the store, I fell in love with how it felt in my hands; so I bought it and love the accuracy of it. It is a sweet pistol.

  • @hnavalta
    @hnavalta Před 9 lety +8

    I have an sp2022 in 40. I like it, I'm more accurate with it compare to my G17. People kept saying 40 has a lot of muzzle flip but I don't feel that much difference between my G17 and SP. And I'm an average size guy, I'm 175lbs. 5'10. I've put more rounds through my G17 and out of the box I was putting 1 in. groups with the sp. The sig is just that accurate.
    I changed the plastic guide rod to ss. I prefer striker fire system, it takes a lot more practice to anticipate when DA pull breaks. G17 is a lot more fun to shoot and easier on the wallet. Regardless, I do not regret buying the SP it is a good gun.

      It was a good video and I love the ergonomics on the SP2022. I shoot Sigs way better than Glocks and I'm convinced it is due to the comfort.

    i went to shooting range today and i have used glock 19(gen 3) and sp2022.
    i loved sp2022 because it felt good in my hand and it has much more higher quality look than glock. in single action mode trigger distance is longer than glock but didnt feel any different regarding trigger weight. they both perfect. shot totally 50 rounds and glock didnt fired one round, stayed in the chamber. actually i love them they both but i prefer sig.
    btw, dont drop the slide release on empty chamber, keep it well maintained :)

    Awesome gun. I just picked up mine and it feels great in the hands and shoots even better. I guess you can’t expect any less from a
    Sig Sauer. I occasionally carry mine as a concealed carry gun and it is just as reliable as my Glock pistols. As mentioned you cannot go wrong with a Sig Sauer and especially this pistol for the price. I really don’t understand why folks are not looking at this pistol either. It’s seems like everyone wants to be a Glock fan boy. Also I purchased this gun, because I’m tired of striker fire guns. DA/SA pistols are safer for concealed carry over striker fired any day, because of the decker and long 10lb trigger pull that acts as a safety in DA.

    I have a Sig 2022, it's a good shooting gun for the price, very accurate and comfortable to shoot, but, it's heavy, especially for polymer, and the "stainless steel" slide and levers on mine are showing rust after only carrying it for a few months, and the finish is fragile and scratches and marrs easily...
    reliability is good, fit and finish is ok... the replaceable grips creak and move a bit...

    The main criticism on this gun I've heard so far is preference. Since it feels like a 1911 some people like all steel, I don't mind the polymer frame. The trigger can feel a little long but I have a Glock as well, love mine actually. I just bought a SIG p2022, im stoked

  • @TheBoxingCannabyte
    @TheBoxingCannabyte Před 7 lety +1

    Right now I'm carrying the SP2022 but the Glock 19 is the best out-of-the-box combat pistol ever produced IMO. But I think the SIG SP2022 PRo is the best hammer-fired pistol on the market under $500 (maybe $550 in some areas). I have had a 226 and a 229 and loved them but when I ahd to cut the fat so to speak I got rid of the fancy Kimber and SIG and kept the Glock, bought the SP 2022 Pro and compared it directly alongside to the 229 and the Pro did as good which means it beat it since it was less weight.
    I get what you were trying to compare here, some people just hit "dislike" because they go to the APPLES AND ORANGES FALLACY. It's NOT wrong to compare these two, they might be the only two pistols you have, it might be a real "do I want hammer or striker" or "i don't know which grip style I like more" or "which has the better features for the buck?" or if you don't mind striker or hammer, if you don't have an automatic preference, which should you go for if you're being offered either?
    For me it was the final one, I Was offered one or the other, took the SIG (had owned a Glock 19 gen 3, bought another one with my own SIG 2022 for personal carry and use), outside of getting used to it not being my Beretta, which meant less weight and less sight radius , higher bore-axis which im not sure if that matters as much as some people say...
    Anyway at the end of the day, for me, the SIG niches it but BARELY. Which is why i own both. Right now I feel like hte SIG more, tomorrow? the Glock maybe...who knows? Glad I can have the option!

    just bought one a month ago . new,for $420...came with two backstraps, two mags, in a nice polymer case. I have a G21, but the SIG feels much better in the hands. 200 ends and of course, performed without a hitch. I would take this over the block anytime...Just my HO...

    Yeah, you’re forced to grip it high because of the ridiculous bore axis. Of course they lowered the slide stop to screw with that grip too.

    I have this gun with the vibrant white dot sights and not night sights because the night sights are great for night shooting but the vibrant white dots
    Just pop and are super fast to line up. My SP 2022 has been reliable and has never had any problems with any ammo. It’s got a better feel in my hand then a Glock and I prefer a hammer pistol over a striker fire pistol like the Glock. The slide is stainless steel rather then regular steal slide like the Glock and the texture on the grip is much better then Glocks grip and the break down is better on the Sig and easier to put back together then the Glock. And the Sig looks better also.

    Great pistol, I just bought my second one, its one of the new versions with loaded chamber indicator. Got a deal on it brand new with night sights, 2 mags, a sig holster AND Sig laser for $399!!! This is my second 2022 (40 & now 9mm) . I also own a Sig 226 Elite, and the 226 is one of the greatest handguns of all time, but these 2022's are more gun for the $.

    I've owned both. I have to try to like my Glocks. I qualified with them, but hate the grip angle. I'm more a curate and point more naturally with Sigs and M&Ps. But, if one breaks, you'll be thankful you own the Glock. Luckily, neither break under normal conditions.

  • @shanegorell8668
    @shanegorell8668 Před rokem

    Feels good in hand that's about it. Very high bore axis and a huge slide release that is always in the way. It's very rare I get a last round lock back. My Glock 19 is much better in my opinion.

    Somebody please effing help me! I like the SP2022 .40, Walther PPQ 9mm, Glock 22, Sig P320 .40 and Springfield XDm .40. Which is the best for defense, accuracy, low recoil and competition overall? Not "this one is best for this and that etc" what is the best overall choice?

    • @skittykitty1000
      @skittykitty1000 Před 9 lety

      By the way i prefer .40 as long as the gun can reduce the recoil a bit but like the Walther is snappy in .40 if it is reaaly the clearly the better gun I can settle for 9mm.

    • @InTheWerkz
      @InTheWerkz  Před 9 lety

      Very hard to answer , the most comfortable with little recoil & accuracy , all those guns are really good. But my GLOCK 26 is the most accurate
      But not really comfortable, my sig 9mm is probably the most comfortable gun I ever put in my hands..
      The M&P subcompact 9mm is an awesome edc .. .
      All I can say is go shoot a Sig / GLOCK & M&P 9mm
      I don't like 40,s to be honest to much snap not enough control , but there is good 40,s out there.

    • @TheRealLeeM
      @TheRealLeeM Před 9 lety

      I'm not a big fan of safe action triggers but the PPQ is honestly one of the best. It is better than the glock. The P320 has a really nice trigger and a short reset. Its not a long trigger pull at all. I haven't shot the XDm or the SP2022 yet so I can't help you there. I guess it comes down to what works best for you and what trigger you like.

    • @brandondover6551
      @brandondover6551 Před 9 lety

      The 2022 is my carry but I have to admit, Walther ppq takes the cake. Best ergos. Nice sloped slide. Best trigger pull I ever felt. Hardly any reset and very accurate/reliable.

      I shoot lots of LRN reloads. Thus, I had to purchase a Lone Wolf barrel for my G19 Gen 3. The Sig P2022 does not have that polygonal rifling that can get gunked up with residue. Thus, It will be cheaper to own and shoot. However, I really love my Glock 19 and 21. This pistol (SP2022) would be a nice addition to the safe.

    Haha loved this review man. Showed honesty all around. Loved the part where you said: "It doesn't come with the standard Sig safety" haha what "Sig safety" are we talking about? No Sig comes with a manual safety, just a decocker! haha.. and that bouncy hammer is just like you said, perfectly normal, part of the safety features all Sigs got.
    And regarding the comparison to Glock, well it's about the price and there's where it ends. No sense in comparing this Sig, which would be the budget version of a BMW, if such a thing exists, with the toyota corolla of handguns a.k.a Glocks.
    And yes also the review may have lacked some relevant info like trigger reset and field stripping easiness or lack thereof, but you know what, I just loved your relaxed, no-stick-up-the-ass, style where you just commented your opinion on a great piece you happened to come across. Insta +1'ed it :-) Cheers!

  • @InTheWerkz
    @InTheWerkz  Před 10 lety +1

    You are right Sigs are awesome ... But I must admit I just bought a GLOCK 26 Gen 3 , That is the only GLOCK I would even consider do to how comfortable it is, and it's size...Baby glock.. So will see its in DROS right now, and then I'll review it,
    I will not buy another glock, but I would and will buy another Sig .
    But GLOCK has something nobody else has , 1) a lifetime warranty
    2) If there is an upgraded version of this firearm in let's say 10yrs , you ship it to them they upgrade it for free, you pay nothing , Ever...
    That being said this is the only GLOCK I will ever buy.. Put the GLOCK 26 in your hands , you will know right away, if you like it..
    FYI GEN 4 triggers not as good as a Gen 3

    I have both and both are two different beasts
    Sig gives you that old school 1911 style hammer
    Glock gives you that new age stuff
    Sig = a bit more flexibility when it comes to your pistol it requires a lot more getting used too
    Glock = point and shoot no fancy stuff just straight to the point
    I love both but when it comes to the gritty hard to say what I would choose
    If your new to guns go glock
    If you have 3 + yrs experience try sig
