- I have tried a many ways to store my seeds and I hope I finally found one that will work best for me this year. It is hard to find something that will hold flower farming seeds, bulk garden seeds.

Haha! I have to reorganize a few times a year, so I feel your pain. But it's also a great time to take inventory and see what needs ordered and also see what you want to get started for the year.
it is april 2024, and this is the first time to watch your video.... only comment I could think of is separate them in time to plant,,, spring, summer, fall, winter (ha ha) ...this way when the time comes, you grab the seasonal package and make the choices and place them in an area that you do seed germination
I am still using this method but have reorganized it with cold hardy in a drawer, frost tender in another, and the flowers. Works pretty good.
My solution for seed storage is using pill bottles. I wrap duct tape around to hide the label and to have a blank surface for writing in sharpie the date harvested, type, etc. This is how I store my bulk seeds. I also have a pelican type case with two layers of plastic cylinders that fit securely in a piece of foam. I use the case for quick grab and go and replenish as needed from the bulk storage. I think it's important to get oxygen to the seeds so I open the containers now and then. I think the most important thing is storing them in a cool dry place with no humidity or temp fluctuations. I know some people store their seeds in the fridge. If humidity is an issue, buy desiccant satchels and put in the containers with the seeds.
I have just stared to use pill bottles and I have also been saving old spice jars as well. It works great for saving your own seed. Thanks for sharing!

Bonjour! Votre meuble est fantastique. Je pense que votre réserve de semences est en réalité une banque de souvenirs! C’est fabuleux. J’ai commencé avec une boîte de souliers, j’ai aussi essayé avec un gros cartable et, finalement avec la fameuse mallette de photos. J’ai classé par mois et semaines de culture. C’est bien sauf au moment où je veux faire des reprises de culture, comme la laitue. Parfois, je laisse les sachets sur le dessus…. Il me faut absolument une boîte de semences mélangées afin de créer une sorte de soupape! 😹😹😝

I love your green cabinet, and for $10, it's literally a steal! This from someone who doesn't care for green, except in nature. Replacement knobs can be found everywhere.
Since you seem to like deals, have you tried MIgardener for seeds? Every September they have an end of season grab bag sale. This year it was 30 packets of seeds for $25. Their regular prices are $2 a packet.
I'm using the photo boxes and I'm happy with that. I sort them by type, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers etc.
I love Migardener and I got a bunch of seeds this fall when they went on sale for a buck this fall.

I use the photo box method and love it for 2 reasons. A) small home gardener (with an obscene amount of seeds but thats beaide the point) and B) it helps keep me im check. When i cant fit anymore seeds of that variety in the box i know I need to stop buying tomato varieties 🤣🤣
You can fit a lot in those! I was surprised how much I could fit. are you good about putting them back? I am too willy nilly with my seeds for that type of structure. ha!

You bet! Sometimes you don't need to spend so much and use what you already have, especially if you are like and have some good mish mash laying around.

i used bags form ikea, then i put in a small bin, then i had more and i stored in a filofax, but is was too fast too small... So i sas one yter and she had these fotocases. and she did not all the tomatoes togehter, she did like. 2 weeks before LFD, 4 weeks before, up to 14 weeks diveded in transplants and in direct. that is something i struggle with when i think about what to plant. so i liked that. But some seeds i can use later in de season again, so when i seed i will put an paper in the next one, with name of seed etc. So then i know.
and then a few with after last frost date. and my seed colloction fits perfectly, so im happy with it so far :D
That's a great idea and you put a ton of effort into your system! I just rearranged mine this year to be in alphabetical order but other than that it seems to be working well for me.
@BlackWhiteandTheGrays oh wonderful it works! Yes and the box feels like candy shop there are still some seeds coming and I have older seed sort out. I wanna make an order with all the Info about what I plant. So that's round 2

I am using the photo organizer and have found the seeds I save don’t fit! My goal is to buy a pack once and then save my own from then on. And I currently have a tub with them all in it. I was actually just thinking about how I can save them too. This is very interesting. Thank you!

I've been trying the photobox method for the last couple seasons and I'm still not sure it's for me. I'm a grab a couple packs and go kind of lady as well. I'm also trying Larkspur and Lupine this year, so I'd love to see a video on that!
For me there's too many things to keep together. Seed packs in the little photo box then the little box inside the big box. I would end up just hauling around the little boxes and leave them out all over the place. Definitely a video on those flowers soon.
