- This video started as one thing and ended up being something different. 2 What's For Dinner meals cooked on the grill that were delicious. We picked up another kiln for ceramics and an old potters wheel. Spring is trying to arrive and the snow is melting. The sump pump turns on for the first time this year. THE HOUSE.

Awww darn, I thought I might get to see how Melissa puts her potato salad together. You've always said it's the best and I can't make potato salad worth a darn. Pleeeeeeeze Melissa show us how, or at least list your ingredients!!! As usual everything looks so yummy Joe. I see your drive and grass on your land! Glad to see your snow melting! I was glad to see ours melt, but then we got the floods. I'm in SW Iowa. Can't wait to see some of Melissa's pottery projects. Hope the new granddaughter and mommy is doing well! God Bless.

Joe & Melissa, hot sausages like that are actually good if you open the casings, chop the sausage meat into little pieces, and use it like a seasoning in a big pot of potatoes or beans, more as a condiment than a main course. I use a link of Andouille like this in omelets and they're reeeeeeally good!

I grew up in Washburn wisc right across the Bay from Ashland. Pretty area.
Once you get up to the Ashland area it is very pretty with the hills and ravines. From Superior to Iron River it was rather flat and not much to see.

My Dad seems to be doing extremely well, Emily and Bridgette stopped by yesterday and they seem to be doing very well. Xander is doing better but still a bit squirrely Emily said. Within the next few weeks Melissa and I are going to take him for the weekend, once I can drive the tractor out in the field. It will be good for him to get out of the house for a couple days. I will have a garden at both houses but the one at the farm will be smaller just so we can see what will grow and how bad the animals eat it. Once we get that figured out we will know if the final bigger garden area needs to be fenced. The garden at the hobby farm house will be a little different because this year I am going to do at least a 3rd of the garden in sweet corn, something I have not grown in awhile. Opening fishing is mid May and yes it will be nice to get up there and hear the peepers and see the lake like glass and not covered with ice.

Spring is on the way. We went down and had a blast fishing on the coast. And yes we ate mudbugs 3 bags. Lol. We caught Reds, flounder and trout.

Joe, the label Ghost should of gave it away on that sausage!! All that food looked mighty tasty and especially the potato salad!! I love home made potato salad, that is how my mom use to do it, boil the eggs with the potatoes. Glad to see your getting warmer weather. As for drone flying, well I have two racing drones, a fold up drone and then a ProMark drone, been flying for about 2 yrs. The racing drones I crash a lot, they aren't made for hovering, they are for speed and will do about 60 to 70 mph. The ProMark drone is a hovering type drone, and I replaced the camera with my GoPro clone to shoot some video. Your get the hang of it, just takes practice. Been nice here today, March 26th, so far. The sun is out and I played hooky from work, today is my wife's birthday, so I stayed home yesterday and today. My present to her was clean the house and fixed her a good breakfast of biscuits, sausage gravy, bacon and eggs. Have a great day today. Juddie - J & J TOA

Great to see you messing with the drone. The newer drones with GPS are very easy to fly but it's important to get some experience as you are with something less expensive and learn the controls. I've had a bunch, have some fun fpv/ racing drones and an amazing DJI Mavic Pro. They are getting less expensive and I'm really enjoying the hobby. Sure you'll learn about the features and such so only thing I'd suggest right now is watch reviews from folks such as RCEscape, Quadcopter 101, and for more photography/gps quality drones, Dustin Dunnill who does a great job on testing and reviewing. Highly recommend looking at his CZcams channel, think he covers the type and quality of drone you would make good use of. DJI drones, Parrot Anafi, and the Autel EVO are a few you might dig. I love the Mavic Pro and have flown the heck out of it for a year, perfect!. Tons of vids on my channel from it and other small stuff lately if ya wanna take a look, just look at the title for Mavic Pro on my vids. Anyway, think it would really be an asset and a great tool for you in the future. Got new regulations coming out soon so for you as a recreational pilot you'll be ok. Eventually you may need to look into getting a commercial certificate/license but I wouldn't worry for now. Looks like the one you got is gonna need some real calm weather/wind days but it will definitely help you learn. Again, other GPS/quality drones will fly way easier so don't get discouraged by the one you got. ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho 😎

I will probably wait until opening fishing. My Dad wants to go up there prior to that so I will have to see if I feel I need to be up there that first time he goes in. He seems 100% back to normal to me so I may not have to. There is a very good chance that a person will not even be able to drive in there until opener because of the snow. They got more up there than we got at the house.

It was not Boudin, it was just called Cajun. I am really missing the smoked Boudin I would always buy at Ryans Grocery in Sorrento Louisiana. I actually have some seasoning for making it we bought prior to moving Melissa up here. I want to make homemade Boudin coming up soon.

My wife got me started putting mustard on barbecued chicken. It's tastes great and couldn't be much simpler. Are you still getting your meat from the B&B gas station? I took my brothers by there on our way up to go ice fishing. They all thought the B&B was a super place to go for meat! Thanks for the tip!

Oh please, we have very expensive plates and silverware and we have regular plates and silverware and we have paper and plastic. We need no more. Lol. I hate dishes and using paper and plastic ends that. haha. We rarely use the plastic cutlery now. (I do but not when Melissa is here)
