This intake has been on my 2014 F30 335i for the last 2 years with no issues. Also, in my experience. The turbo spool and whooshes gets a little more pronounced with a tune.
Do you get a consistent but faint whistle noise on wide open throttle acceleration? I installed mine a couple weeks ago

@@InlineSixAuto I'm on MHD Stage 2. But which ever tune you go with, BM3 or MHD don't forget XHP Trans tune. Makes a world of a difference.
I installed this today on my F22 M235, well after i tuned my car lol, and omfg bro, thanks to your video i found out where that top screw was supposed to go, cheers

How are the fuel trims after this intake? I installed one in my 535i n55 but ltft was sitting at arround +12%. With stock intake it sits closer to 0

Get an awe axle back exhaust! They sound the best imo
I was actually deciding between that one and the valvetronic exhaust. But since the AWE exhaust doesn’t integrate the exhaust flapfrom what I’ve seen, I chose valvetronic.

Hey, just put mine on today and it sounds great, but idk if I’m just paranoid or something, but I feel like my engine is running a bit hotter after install? Did your engine ever overheat after this?
Noo. I haven’t had that issue. Why do you feel the the engine is running hotter? Has it given you a warning light?
Installed mine on my f33 and feel the same way. While installing mine (in cold temperatures) my hose to the coolant reservoir broke off had my engine over heat cuz my coolant was leaking. Fixed that but still something quite not right I feel like.
Sounds amazing, looks awesome BUT after replacing the original with this one, my 335i xD stage 2 felt a lot of power loss. This intake works amazing with pure stage 3 (new turbO)
Unless you are pushing st3, keep the original cold int.
After my research of power loss I got a drop in kn filter the noises sounds great and power and response has held up
How much rpm were you pushing? Mine isn’t making much sound
Got an m235i ZF, a stage 1 to 390bhp, cheap res&muffler delete on stock exhaust and cts intake. All for less than a k. Any other money is wasted. All you could ever want from a daily

I don’t think it’ll pass. You can just take it off and put the stock back on when you need to smog
I have cts in my gli and would like it in 335i, but damn why does it have to so ugly..they couldn’t make it one piece or at least same color through out...

i just installed my intake yesterday, installation went perfect , took it for a test drive yesterday, everything was fine . but when i started it up this morning i got a check engine light. is there a possibility i have to tune it for the intake ?
Do you know what error code was recorded? There is a good chance a tune will help. Sometimes the engine doesn't respond well to intakes with the stock tune. Sometimes the Mass Airflow Sensor gets different readings and causes the engine to run differently. or in your case, as CEL
Same thing happened to me. When you say get it tuned what does that mean?
So Installed mine and got the check engine light. My acceleration is all off. Switching through the gears isn’t smooth. So would I need a tune? What does it mean when you get it tuned?
A few people have had the same experience. Sometimes it seems to just mess up the reading from the MAF sensor which causes the car to not run smooth. I'm assuming a tune would fix it but not 100% sure since nobody has said that worked.
You didn’t need to tune your car after the install? I put this on and man I feel an insane loss of power. Sounds awesome don’t get me wrong but it feels like I’ve lost alll my performance
I’ve heard that happen to some people. However it didn’t happen to mine when initially was running without a tune. I have a tune with it now and it’s amazing and even louder than before the tune. I guess not all N55s run the same with it. Some don’t run well with it is what I’ve concluded. There’s a chance you just didn’t secure all the points of connection and you may have a leak somewhere if you want to just check to make sure.

@@dylana2880 Thank you! Hopefully you're able to find the issue. I know how disappointing that'd be. If its still not running well I'd see if you can return it/get a refund. Or just try and sell it and maybe try a different intake.

Just installed this on my n55 m135i and it makes all the cool sounds when driving but when the car is parked and I Rev in neutral there are no sounds.
Have I installed something wrong?
Is yours automatic transmission ?
its bc there is no load on the motor.. there is no boost when free revving

From what I’ve seen, yes. But I think all the intakes available for the F30 N55 pretty much sound like this overall. I just think this is the loudest. And it gets even louder when you install a tune.
4:30 there is no connecter for it on the CTS is that okay?

nope.
Is this how it sounds without the exhaust? This is the noise straight from the intake?
Yeah. The exhaust was completely stock when filming this. And None of that noise was there before I installed the intake.

@@christopheriruegas1848 There wasn't any significant gains that you could notice when filming this because the car wasn't tuned yet. The car is now tuned on BM3 Stage 2 91 now and the intake sounds even louder and better than in this video. Pretty much sounds like a BOV. And I believe with the car tuned the intake then contributed the pretty significant gain in power.
After installation I been having an issue,
When starting the car I have misfires n idling issues on top of that a CEL
Do all those problems go away once you install the stock intake? This'll confirm that it is indeed the CTS intake causing all that. But yeah some N55's dont respond well to intakes. It appears yours is one of the unlucky ones

I installed mine today but my car will only run when the MAF sensor is unplugged, any help cuz I don’t wanna ruin my sparks
What happens when you plus the MAL in?

@@InlineSixAuto my car will idle very rough then die on me seconds after but when I unplugged the MAF it’s working completely fine like nothing
@@InlineSixAuto I already tried cleaning the sensor with MAF cleaner too but still nothing
Did you check to make sure all the clamps on the intake are all secure so there’s no possible air leaks? Even the pipe that goes down to where the turbo is.

yes it can. but it will be more useful with a tune and it'll be louder
