      What's your Forte ? Yeah, it’s on sale right now. I’m currently looking at this one, and another one made by MST.

    Nice video man. So are you just running an M-Performance Exhaust or have you taken the cats off or anything else? It sounds great

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 5 lety +2

      Running the M performance exhaust and Tune. The tune and exhaust combo create the mild burbles. The intake sounds great.

    I just got my 435i two weeks ago. Your intake is cool, but is it "$329 cool"?

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 5 lety +2

      Yeah man I think it is worth that price. It is the only I take for the n55 that has never torn a code based on my research in the forums. Wait for them to put it on sale or reach out to them(CTS Turbo) on Facebook. They told me they had a sale coming and and to wait for it. Saved me around $50-60 bucks I think.

    Nice ride man. I have a 2017 435i coupe too...so I wanted to ask you on your wheel. Do you have to do anything at all to make them fit....i want to buy the same ones, but everyone keeps telling me they wont fit.

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks man. You must have a 440i as 2016 was the last year of the 435. They switched to the 440 in 2017. It looks the same just a different engine. The 437M wheels that I have will fit without any issue. There are tons of F30 and F32 owners with these. There are some non OEM replicas that are out there and they fit also as the figment is not as aggressive. You just have to make sure you choose the right tire size. I went OEM M4 size and have no issues.

    Damn I have an f30 335i m sport regular exhaust thinking about upgrading to the m performance exhaust love the sound also looking at different intakes would you recommend this one over injen or mst? Btw love the ride nice setup

      I had a bad experience with Injen intake, I'm returning it today and not sure if I will buy the CST or AFE

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 4 lety

      I will second what he said. I have heard that the injen intakes throw codes on BMWs. CTS turbo was the only intake I saw on the forums that never threw a code or cause rough idle.

  • @PrettyBoy203rd
    @PrettyBoy203rd Před 5 lety +1

    Been looking for a proper intake for my 435i...have FBO catless downpipe stage 2 tune.pure turbo and meth...I try running a injrn intake and I get to much air flow in my mass air flow sensor when I hit 130 mph or more...so I switch back to stock intake and put a k&n fillter...and it seem to be better...can anyone help do I have to retune my car to benefit the intake or is it just the injin intake

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 4 lety

      I have heard the injen intake can throw codes even on a stock car. That is the reason why I did not go with it. Everyone I know on the forums with the CTS Intake have not had any issues at all on tons of different setups. I have had no issues at all plus I live the sound.

  • @Amsfxyz
    @Amsfxyz Před 4 lety +1

    So you're running only the OEM MPPK with MPE? It sounds great. I just have the MPE and ordered the intake earlier today. Will be getting bootmod3 once the warranty expires.

      @@WhatsyourForte Same, CTS Turbo. I've never come across anyone having issues with this intake. Other intakes make the car act up. It hasn't shipped yet, waiting for it :D Also, congrats on the M4, how huge is the difference in driving as compared with the tuned 435i?

    what other mods have you done?

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 5 lety

      The car came with the BMW MPPK and the MPE as it is a ZHP model. That provides a slight bump to 335HP and 332lbs/ft tq. From 300/300 stock. No other mods yet.

  • @zkzk91
    @zkzk91 Před 4 lety +1

    Is it making the exhaust burbles sound better when you shift gears or in general? do you have the M muffler? or the whole M exhaust that cost around $3000?

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 4 lety +1

      The intake only helps with the whoosh/ turbo noise. The burbles come from the tune that is on the car paired with the M Performance exhaust. My car came with the exhaust but I think it is only around $1K brand new

      From my understanding this version works with both. I would double check the CTS turbo website to confirm.

    Thanks for the great video. I have installed it on my f30, but how have you solved the problem with the high temperature from the cooling hose? The aluminum part almost sits on the cooling hose and the intake pipe takes all the heat from it - the intake air before turbo becomes much hotter (especially in a traffic jam) than with OEM. Contacted CTS Turbo and they said, that the intake temperature before turbo doesn't make an impact on performance... So, they make it just you to have some great Instagram stories?

    • @WhatsyourForte
      @WhatsyourForte  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you. I was not aware of this issue about the cooling hose. I have heard from many people that intakes on our car are mostly for sound vs performance anyway. One day when I get some free cash, I might put my stock intake back and do a dyno comparison. I have also seen on the forums that a drop in filter from K&N with the stock intake works better than most aftermarket intakes. Regardless I still love the sound and it was a worthwhile upgrade for me.
