Last year I began recollecting some of the dolls that I enjoyed as a child and unfortunately didn’t save 😢. I’m particularly fond of the SUPERSTAR ⭐️ era of Barbie became that is what was popular when I played with the dolls in the mid 70s until the early 80s. I’m so amazed when you take us flea market shopping with you as to all the amazing Barbie’s you find. I agree about wishing Barbie had the superstar face. Thank you for trying the fashions on the older Barbies 80s/90s superstar is mostly what I collect 💖
I have gotten used to the Margot Robbie doll face by now but still nothing beats the Superstar era for us milllenials and I have seen many people use Superstar Barbies to put the Barbie movie dolls outfits on and it always lookd stunning 😍💗💗💗
Hi Lau! I totally understand wanting to keep your Barbies in those new pink boxes! I completely understand because I love these dolls and they did such a great job on the design of the boxes! That’s why I bought 2 of the same Barbies (the same pink dress one you got) because I want to keep one in the box and I want to take one out to play with and style. The only thing I don’t like about the doll is the bangs too haha but I actually like the face mold of the Margot Robbie doll because that way it doesn’t exclude anyone who is a doll collector who prefers other face molds. I still might get the fashion packs if I can. I wish I could afford this whole collection because it’s literally perfect. 💯😭🎀

Nice video! I understand on how you feel to unboxed your Barbie’s. You can return them back to boxes because that’s what I did. I used that famous black and white swimsuit on Barbies..with stand for her stay inside the box. So is several of others, too. I have special curio cabniet to displayed all my Barbie the Movies in there…it’s completed. I feel dolls out of the box looks way better than in the box because I can pose them with collectible cars with it. They looks way better in my opinion. I am not inbox collector though. It’s a real struggle whether to unbox them because of the value. It reminds me of Star War when it first came out in 1977 with so many star war merchandise…plus toys I find them in stores. I was a teen girl when I first saw Star War the movie…and I have seen the original toys unopened goes very expensive prices today.

You did absolutely a wonderful job with your outfit , necklace and hair , you look amazingly like Barbie. Mattel just released the new 2023 Barbie house and it would of been so nice if they would of made it a replica of the one from the Movie . Missed opportunity for Mattel , unless they plan to do that in the near future . Would that fashion pack outfit velcro be hard to close on a modern Barbie or is it because you put it on a vintage Barbie which has bigger chest ?

Vintage Barbies have a different body. Wider hips, smaller waist, wider chest. That it why the outfits don't fit that well on the dolls I chose. The pink playsuit with the velcro already fits very tight on modern Barbie and so you can't close it at all on a vintage doll.
@@LauSkypainter Yes You did explain it clear and I have the older vintage Barbies with bigger chest and hips I'm so old 57 lol that i even remember the controversy over what people were calling Barbie unrealistic body proportions . How things have changed since the 70's. I'm on a lot of medicine for my depression and anxiety disorder so i have trouble focusing sometimes so forgive me if i repeat something. I really love your channel . One of my favorites.

Ich habe ja jetzt alles was ich brauche. Als ich das letzte Mal bei Müller war (Mitte Juni) gab es davon noch nichts. Und ich gehe nicht permanent in Spielzeugläden.
Auch Müller gibt es keinen, der besonders in meiner Nähe ist. Ich wohne außerhalb und fahre nicht ständig in die City für neues Spielzeug.

I hope they release the Kennough shirt separately eventually. it would probably not fit any vintage Kens, but I’d still like to have it.
They probably won't release the shirt separately. But maybe someone creates a custom of it that you can buy or someone at one point sells the real shirt when this person just wanted to have the Ryan Gosling facemold doll. Maybe you are lucky.

No, I have never come across a Rose Petal Place doll. They also never come up for sale here in Germany. Not even in other parts of Europe. So I guess they were never sold here or just sold in very small quantities. The only way to get them would be from the US. And I want to have some. At one point I will order some from the US. They are very pretty and cute🌺🌹🌼🌸

Lau, the perfect day (pink gingham print dress) was inspired by the classic suburban shopper dress from 1959, but it looked more like the matching dress. I actually have two of the collector dolls(gold disco jumpsuit and the blue plaid set they both have different inserts for the background, the blue set has the house as her background and the gold
Jumpsuit also has the dream house but it’s disco themed any of the Barbie boxes has Margot on them the other dolls have the house, I wasn’t able to purchase the western Barbie, the fashion pack, or the car, so far I have spent around $350 on the movie stuff alone

This dress came either on the European exclusive Springtime Magic Barbie or on a fashion pack which was called Springtime Magic in the US or Haute Couture in Europe. All versions are from 1984.
The purple bolero does not belong to it. It came with a white ruffle for around the shoulders and a white hat.
The purple bolero goes to Sparkle Eyes fashion from 1991.

Swiss prices are insane 🥹 the cheaper one still costs 40.- and for the quality it is not worth it. The one I would love to buy is the barbie in the golden jumpsuit💖 I think the pattern and price matched for it 😅 but she is still 70.- here and released in august🤦♀️🙈

Yes, they are as expensive in Germany as you said for Swiss prices right now 😕 but I didn't want to miss out on them. That is why I bought them right away for these crazy prices 😬

Ah yes, the golden jumpsuit version looks also amazing. She is inspired by Golden Dreams Barbie from 1980. (Spoiler alert: I found the real vintage Golden Dream Barbie at the flea market 😉) so I was not feeling like buying the Movie version of it 😂
