You should check out Ben Solak from the ringer. He did some really interesting analysis on Brock about a month ago and gives Brock credit for the plays he makes that are clearly better than what Jimmy G did but also shows how Brock benefits in ways that no other QB in the NFL does based on play calling and personnel.

did he talk about this 20th ranked pass blocking o line? Purdy has good ball catchers but a bottom third o line. They had the lowest ranked pass protection rate on any playoff team. People always fail to realized what a disadvantage that is for Brock. In comparison The chiefs have the number 1 pass blocking unit, packers with the 2nd and the detroit around 3-5 I think. Who had a wide out that would carry plays for long, explosive plays. Patrick Mahomes. He’s not an MVP but besides Patrick Mahomes, no other QB would increase 49ers chances of winning.

Purdy was Robbed of the 2023 MVP . Purdy's YAC Percentage Throws were 7 Percent Lower than the last 4 MVPs .
This year we needed him to throw the ball and catch it too. Seems that might be one expectation too far. Brock Purdy's receivers had 9 drops, the Chiefs had 44. Big difference in what happens on the other end of the pass.
