Great performance! Avi truly is amazing. There is something magical in his voice. And he gets better over time!
Another song you might enjoy is Light In The Hallway, led by Avi. There is no video, only a visualizer, but it is beautiful. It was written by Scott (and I think Mitch) for Scott’s newborn nephew, and he wanted Avi to sing it because that’s the voice he heard when writing it.
There are some live videos of the song that are pretty good quality too.

Avi (and Kevin I believe) wrote this when they were on their international tour and missing his family. So bittersweet.
Those of us who’ve come to know Avi’s original songs well absolutely hear his writer’s voice in “Standing By”, and it’s the same with “Run to You”, which he was the primary writer of.
This is my favourite PTX song and not just because of Avi's sublime vocals. Although he and Kevin wrote it about missing family whilst touring, I always think it was a perfect lockdown song. It wasn't just Avi's voice PTX lost when he left but his song writing ability too.

I'm glad this song moved you! Like others have suggested You have to check out Light in the Hallway. If you are down to sob, there is a video of Avi's final performance on tour with Pentatonix, where they do Light in the Hallway first and then Sing. And during Light in the Hallway you could just hear the ache in Avi's voice because he knows that it's the very last time he's going to share the stage with them.

As much as I love PTX and agree 100% that Matt is perfect for them and Avi just outgrew doing Christmas music and pop songs and is much better off (mentally) solo...I have not watched but 2 songs of theirs post Avi....its just not my vibe any longer.

Ok, so this has nothing to do with the performance - which is amazing BTW - but it’s just a little trivia to show how far they’ve come since 2015. The Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT has a 4,800 seat capacity. That’s about the size of the venues they were selling out 9-10 years ago. Now, at least since 2019-2021, they are routinely selling out 11,000-13,000 seat coliseums. It really is amazing how successful they are on tour.
And with Avi, regardless of the reason’s given at the time for why he chose to leave, at the end of the day he just outgrew the ensemble format of PTX. I’ve tried to get into some of his solo stuff, but the style of music isn’t really for me. He’s where he belongs, and Matt is where he belongs. Both are better for it.

Fantastic review of this song. This is a great performance and I love that you can actually tell that it's live because they do go out of key here and there But it's so good. They're emotions getting to it they're performances incredible. I may have put this on I may have put this on your channel before but I would love to see you react to this 2016 pop spring performance. Are we still in it for me it's 1 of the best recorded live performances they ever did sound quality is fantastic ,, it's 4 songs 3 of which are original Pentatonix songs.
