Kevin does have his own YT channel, KO Kevin Olusola and there are several pieces available on that.
Kevin's original plan ( other than playing cello, beatboxing and playing sax) was to become a doctor and work in China. To that end he learned Mandarin and several other languages, applied to Yale's Pre-Med studies and was accepted, did the courses and was about to write finals when Scott contacted him about playing with them. Kevin explained that although he'd consider joining the group for the audition at least, he was kinda busy at the moment. A couple of weeks later, Kevin contacted Scott after graduating and decided to join them for the show. Well....they won and didn't stop since, even though Sony reneged on the recording contract and left them high ad dry in California. They decided to build their own fame and used YT to post their videos of their singing. It worked!!
It's really amazing and very rare that a person is so talented in so many areas that they can choose from several paths to set their life on. Kevin was lucky enough to have a chance at a complete and successful change in life goals and actually chose a great path to follow. One that we all get to enjoy as well.
It's great to see a reactor to Kevin's work who actually is familiar with cellos and other stringed instruments. Thank you for the fun and informative reaction. I'm hoping there'll be many more PTX vids!!
The ones with Kevin doing his thing on the cello:
Say Something, Perfect, Radioactive( feat. Lindsey Stirling), Over The River ( feat. Lindsey Stirling), Papaoutai ( feat. Lindsey Stirling), Thank You (original), Dancing On My Own, Shallow.

Kiss From a Rose is only a few months old, and Kevin plays his electric cello in two different modes. Say Something is (I believe) the first PTX video where Kevin played the cello with the group. Dancing On My Own is a video that was done after Avi announced his departure, but before he actually left, and it's just the 4 of them - Kevin, Scott, Mitch, and Kirstin. Kevin plays the cello, and it's easy to imagine that the line he plays on it could easily be the bass line that Avi would be singing if he were there.

As everyone said, the live VEVO Studio performance of Kiss From a Rose is a must, plus Kevin’s Fifth, live, and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy Reimagined, live, are also must sees. He samples a recording of the band’s song that you just heard adding his own layered strings, plus live celloboxing with Matt joining him on drums. It’s craziness! This was filmed when he was at Yale in 2011, he has really grown as an artist over the past 13-14 years and also he looks so young! Obviously Pentatonix showing up in his life right when he was getting his pre-med degree changed the expected trajectory of his life, and we are all so happy it did. I’m sure he’d have been a wonderful doctor, but music is his calling.

Kevin was actually the first member of the group to release a side-project EP, “Renegade,” in 2015. It charted at #1 on one of Billboard’s instrumental classical music charts. The main song from that album was the title track, with a beautiful music video. He later had another EP with two friends-they called the group Triptyq, and their music was a bit jazzy in style. I really like their song “When I Fall,” (which has a video) which has Kevin singing as a duet with the group’s lead singer and rapping as well as playing cello and beatboxing. His rap there is actually personal, referring to the stress of Pentatonix’s success.

The cello piece is called "Julie-O", by cellist Mark Summer of the Turtle Island String Quartet. It is famously hard to play, requiring a variety of string techniques, with percussion and pizzicato as well as jazz, country and other fiddle styles. You can find videos of Summer playing it on YT. The beat-boxing is all Kevin. He was studying a year in China when he starting experimenting with cello boxing. At this point he is back at Yale, finishing up his pre-med degree in Asian Studies but is thinking of putting a medical degree on hold and applying to Berklee College of Music to continue

The CZcamsrs I enjoy following the most are ones that a experienced and skilled in what they are reacting to. I found you in the last couple of months. I enjoy your reviews. I feel like I learn something. I've been following music YT reactors for awhile. The ones who can help me learn more because they analyze music at a higher level are the ones I react to most. I've followed reaction videos for years, and I can see trends. One is someone reacts to a popular song that gets hits. And then I am bombarded with many reactors reacting to the same thing. Therefore, the reaction videos, with professional hosts, that really understand music, are the ones I follow ( Ex: Charismatic Voice, Wings of Pegasus, Doug Helverling).
I will continue following your channel. I find your analysis informative, thus entertaining. I am looking forward to your next review. I would suggest the live version of "Knights in White Satan" by the Moody Blues, if you haven't heard them before. I like the studio version better, but the live version is outstanding and the best place to start. The band is playing in front of a full orchestra. If you like that, I would suggest listening to the "Days of Future Passed" vinyl. It is the best orchestral rock music I've heard. Great talent.

Kevin and Avi Kaplan became fast friends when they were brought in to PTX.
They were the late comers to the group, and Kevin was raised 7th day Adventist and Avi is Hebrew though zero religious training except for his Bar Mitsvah.
Avi had written a song and asked Kevin if he would play the cello in the recording.
Kevin agreed and they set up a time to meet at the studio. Kevin thought they would go over how Avi wanted it to sound. When Avi arrived, he handed Kevin his already scored for cello piece exactly the way he wanted it to sound with his song.
They produced a beautiful musical video and Kevin had to do some string adjusting to make his cello to go as deeply as Avi's voice.

He'd already completed his pre-med major, and had been accepted to Yale Medical School; I'm sure he could still have gone back and become a surgeon as he first intended. But he didn't. If he had it would have been the end of Pentatonix; he was essential if they were to build their win of _The Sing-Off_ into an actual career. Kevin gave up the chance to become a surgeon in order to stick with his band through the lean years, with no guarantees that they would succeed. That's true integrity.
